Q3. (Revelation 5:9, 12) What made Jesus so worthy of opening the scroll and thus bringing history to its consummation? Why was this act so noteworthy and praiseworthy?

:D Jesus' work included His death as a ransom through His blood for all people to receive salvation. He gathered the people into His kingdom where they became priests and were appointed to rule on earth. Jesus paid the full penalty for sin. He performed the ultimate sacrifice which opened th way for salvation for all who receive the gift He has provided.

:( There are none righteous, no not one. All have sinned and come short of the glory of God. This is a disheartening condemnation for mankind!
:D Glory be to God, He gave His Son Jesus Christ to be THE propitiation for our sins. Jesus Christ led a sinless life. Tempted in all ways just like us . . . He overcame the flesh, and Satan; that my/our name might be written in The Lambs Book of Life.

:D His redeeming work on the cross. When He came down from heaven to save a lost world to redeem mankind. He took our sins and became the sacrificial lamb in our place once and for all. No longer were we separated from God but were able to approach Him directly through Jesus. He became like us so we could become like Him. I have seen a quote like that in my Bible. It isn't in the Bible, but my Bible has quotations about Jesus in it.

Q3. (Revelation 5:9, 12) What made Jesus so worthy of opening the scroll and thus bringing history to its consummation? Why was this act so noteworthy and praiseworthy?

1. Jesus was the promise made to the forefathers. He was worthy of opening the scroll because He is of the Root of David; Isaiah 11:1, "There shall come forth a Rod from the Stem of Jesse. And a Branch shall grow out of his roots. The Spirit of the Lord shall rest upon Him, the Spirit of wisdom and understanding, the Spirit of counsel and might, The Spirit of knowledge and of fear of the Lord." And in V4, "With righteousness He shall judge the poor, and decide with equity for the meek of the earth.

2. I Cor. 6:20 says, “For you were bought at a price, therefore glorify God in you body and spirit, which are God’s.” God took away the sins of the world through the Lamb that was slain. That Lamb was Jesus Christ. He was a Lamb without blemish or spot; a Lamb worthy to be praised. Jesus became a servant (a living sacrifice) to confirm the promises made to the fathers."

Obedience, period. It is important because nobody else ever did, or ever could, be obedient.

Jesus did not hold back from obeying God's instructions to Him--even to be sacrificed on the cross in cruel torture because of our sinning and our inability to be forgiven on our own merit! ("Pulling yourself up by your own bootstraps" does not work in receiving the forgiveness of God. ) No other could have nor can do this! Jesus lived life on earth as we do, yet He was without sin.
Why is it noteworthy and praiseworthy? Because without His sacrificial death for us, there is no way we could come before the Holy God in all our filthy rags of sin! Praise His Name! We are forgiven and welcome in Heaven when we accept Jesus as Lord and Savior of our souls!

Jesus is worthy of opening the scroll first of all because He is our Mighty God creator of everything. Because of His love for the world He came to earth as man and made the ultimate sacrifice of shedding His blood for all humanity, those of the past, present and future throughout the whole world, so that those who declared Him as their Lord & Master could have eternal life with Him serving the Father.
In Vs.12 we see the Attributes of Jesus. His strength, wisdom, all-powerful etc. He is worthy of all honor, praise & Glory.
Oh, the day when we can all stand before Him & see & feel His glory, giving Him praise and honor. Amen!

In Christ,
Glynis

Jesus was the Lamb that was slain for the sins of the whole world.
The perfect, once for all, sacrifice.
That was why he was worthy to open the scroll. The only one that was.

Jesus is worthy because he is equal in value to the Father. John declares that the throne of the Lamb and the throne of God are one and the same. Christ was the sacrificial lamb by which God 's purposes contained in the scroll are accomplished.

Most of what is sung are songs to which God has inspired in and through me while in prayer. I am looking forward to reading the bible study and viewing comments... I pray you will challenge me.

I first fell in love with Christ... when I was about 12. With much to smile about (although life presented a frown) I ended up believing the enemy (satan) my life was not worth much to anyone. Thank God He sees everything differently and began to open my eyes. I rededicated my life to Him and I thank Him for His dedication to us. With Christ; Jesus... Consumed by God; His father... One Spirit. Obedient even while in Flesh... even He knew that no one else could do as He has done and continues to do for us.

Flesh and Spirit being an example to us that we can do nothing without Him and can do all things through Him.

Jesus is sinless and thats what it took. He is God and the only one that is sinless. It is so remarkable because in that while we were yet sinners Christ died for us. He is absolutely worthy of being worshipped and adored.

Jesus, the Son of the most High God, became the Lamb;
The supreme sacrifice, once and for all! No more were bulls, lambs, etc. needed for the temporary remission of sin!

His obedience to the Father, His love for us unto death, makes Him, and Him alone worthy to open the scroll.

We owe Him all. :)
Blessings! Jaunita

"For God love the world...

God became man through Jesus and Jesus obeys God's perfect
Will from the beginning to the end.

This makes Jesus worthy of all Glory

And give us eternal life in heaven

He said I go to my Father and I will
make room for you.

I believe!

____________________________________________________________

He made the supreme sacrifice. Through the shedding of His blood on the Cross, for the atonement of our sins, and by conquering death throuh the Resurrection, that we may also conquer death through the resurrected body of Christ. He was the only one found worthy, because he was with out sin. He was blameless before the Father. All praises to the Lamb of God.

Jesus is worthy because of the sacrifice. He gave His life as a ransom for mankind, a descendent of David, and the Messiah. This is noteworthy and praise worthy because the Lamb was slain. He is worthy ro receive the power, the riches, wisdom, strength, honor, glory, and the blessing. JESUS IS IN CONTROL.
Rejoice always , pray without ceasing, in everything give thanks, for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you........1 Thessalonians 5:16-18

The scrolls represent the future of the earth, of mankind. I have read a good description of the scroll as the deed to earth, which was lost to Satan when Adam sinned. As long as the scroll remains sealed, Satan remains with the deed to the earth. The opening of the scroll starts the chain of events in which Jesus and his believers regain control of the deed.

Only an heir or someone quite esteemed could break the seals of ssuch an important document. Jesus redeemed mankind when He was crucified. This would certainly give Him the right to open the scroll that holds our future.

Jesus's death is noteworthy and praiseworthy because mankind was redeemed by it.

Jesus is the only one worthy to open the book because He is the only one who ever completely obeyed the Heavenly Father. So much so, that He who was without sin bore our sins by dying to pay the price of our sinfullness.
