Take some time to review Sarah's life and legacy.
What were her strengths?
In the beginning Sara had faith, Heb.11: 1, “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for the evidence of things not seen”. Also she was strong in submitting to her husband and enduring various trials.
Her weaknesses? As time went on Sara began to rely on self more than God and begin taking matters into her own hands Heb. 11:6, “Without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is and that He is a rewarded of those who diligently seen Him. Instead of building a relationship with God Sara worked in the flesh; Galatians 5:19-21
Where did she show faith?
I am not sure how much faith Sara had in her younger years . . . other than her trusting in her husband and his direction . . . she just was a follower . . . she was going with the flow not finding her own identity in God. It wasn’t until God finally fulfilled his promise to her to have a child and she conceived. That’s when her heart changed.
Where did she lack faith?
She did not believe God’s promise to her to conceive especially when she reached old age . . . The Lord had to make a believer out of her.
Gen. 20:6:7, Heb. 11:11, “ By faith Sarah herself also received strength to conceive seed and she bore a child when she was past the age, because she judged Him faithful who had promised.

Some of Sarah's strength's
1)good mother
2)woman of faith
3) courage
Her weaknesses
1)blamed others for her own misdeeds
2)lack of faith in some instances
3)didn't seek God's direction but took matters in her own hands
Where did she show faith
She showed faith in leaving the land with Abraham and while in different rulers harems to protect Abraham
Where did she lack faith?
When she was told she would be a mother in a year she laughed. I don't know if this was lack of faith or denial of pent up emotions and dashed hopes.
God Bless!

submitting to him as the spiritual leader of the home. Also, she knew what
had to be done in expelling Hagar, in making sure that Isaac did not lose
his rightful inheritance.
As indicated by others, Sarah was unbelieving and doubted the promise of
God. As well, she took matters into her own hand, instead of waiting upon
God. And of course, trying to lay blame on others, instead of repenting for
the wrong she brought to others.
I believe she had faith in accepting the fact that her son,Isaac, would be
a blessing to all nations.
She lacked faith in not leaving the promise in the hands of the Lord.

When Abraham told Sarah that they must leave Ur, Sarah packed the household, out of respect for her husband—not from a belief in his God. On separate occasions she dutifully played the role of Abraham’s sister—disguising her true relationship.
When her child-bearing future appeared hopeless, her immature faith led her to take life into her own hands and she encouraged Abraham to lie with Hagar. When Hagar conceived, Sarah's resentment grew and led to the breakdown of her relationship with Hagar—and the ultimate excommunication of Hagar and Ishmael.
Upon hearing God mention that Sarah would become pregnant (well beyond her child-bearing years), she scoffed, laughing—only to be cut through with the fear of the Lord when confronted with her skepticism (Is any thing too hard for the Lord?). When her unbelief was pardoned, her faith in God prevailed. “By faith Sarah herself received power to conceive, even when she was past the age, since she considered him faithful who had promised.” (Heb 11:11)
Isaac’s birth further strengthened Sarah’s faith. No longer would she doubt the promises made to Abraham (with that strength of faith, she banished Hagar and Ishmael from the family).
Sarah was human, and although she never saw the promises God made to Abraham, she endured. In the end she provided a son, who would ultimately fulfill the God’s divine plan for the salvation of mankind, through his blessed son Jesus Christ.

Sarah apparently did not protest leaving the land of her birth and following Abraham, her husband to this new land. It must have been difficult and the life of a wanderer, living in tents, must have been hard. but, she accepted her husband's actions and was obedient to her.
She apparently believed in the Lord God of Abraham, but did doubt that he could cause her to produce a child in her old age! Because of this, she tried to "help" God by insisting Abraham take her servant for the mother of his son.
Would that she had let god be God! It never works to try to take God's place and work His work as we would want it to be!!

Her faith was severly tested and her submissiveness sorely tried many times. There were great strains on her faith, not being able to conceive, going along with Abraham’s sinful schemes. I believe this caused her to be impulsive in her actions. Women of faith have their moments of faithlessness. The struggles of faith are real and we all experience them. Satans darts of doubt fly and we all become skeptical of God solving our problems. Sarah is no different.
I think Sarah always evaluated herself and prayed to God. She knew God would provide for her physically and spiritually. She admitted her failures and accepted God’s forgiveness. She knew God could use their mistakes to bring glory to Himself and blessings into their life. Faith grows best under attack.

Sarah and Abraham's whole life show's faith. They had it rough. She lacked faith in her ability to believe contrary to what she knew to be true about her own body. But who knew, this was a first.

Sarah was a practical woman. As such she gave her full support to Abraham wherever he went. She complimented Abraham in all his endeavors. Logistic support at home is essential while in the service of the Lord. Sarah was able to do exactly that. She believed the Lord in due time and had complete faith in Him.
Being practically oriented, she lost track of her faith when things didn't materialise as planned. Her weakness was taking control of things and not leaving them in the hands of the Lord. Many of us do the same thing. Take lessons from this study and give God the preeminent place in our lives.

She did lose faith about providing an heir for Abraham, thinking up the idea of a surrogate mother.
However the New Testament says that she had her son through faith.
As a lot of gentle women do, they change character when it concerns their children. So Sarah, who had long suffered at the hands of Hagar, became very fierce once she had produced her heir, and most protective of his interests. In that she demonstrated great strength. She was not then to be refused, and Hagar and Ishmael were sent away.
However, the new testament says that she had her child through faith.

She was a good mother and protective of Isaac
She submitted to Abraham and obediently followed where he went.
She also showed courage, resilence, steadfastness, and the ability to endure various trials.
Sarah's weaknessess
Her disbelief when she heard the Angel of the Lord tell Abraham that she would concieve a child in her old age.
Lying and denying that she had laughed.
Not trusting in God's perfect timing by trying to obtain an heir thru the union of Abraham and her slave Hagar.
Where she showed faith
She learned to trust in God's promises.
Trusted God to get her and Abraham out of various situations.
Where she lacked faith
Didn't really believe she could give birth at her age, so she used Hagar as a surrogate.

She was submissive and obedient to Abraham, and a very good mother to Isaac.
Her weaknesses?
Jealousy and envy. After Hagar had Abraham’s son, she turned against her and Ishmael.
Where did she show faith?
By following Abraham to an unknown land.
Where did she lack faith?
She lacked faith when she didn’t wait on God’s timing for her to have a baby.
There is more joy in Jesus in 24 hours than there is in the world in 365 days. I know, I've tried them both.

Sarah is not that easy to figure out if you go by just what she said, she didn't really say all that much that would help you to understand her faith.
She did respect her husband and trust in his leadership both in the natural and in the spiritual.
She was a little unsure of how God would do things and tried to bring them about by natural ways such as obtaining a child by giving Abraham Hagar.

(a) Sarah's strengths are: She was intensely loyal to her own child; She became the mother of a nation and an ancestor of Jesus and in Hebrew's 11, she was the first woman listed in the Hall of faith. She was submissive to her husband.
(b) Sarah's weaknesses were: She had trouble believing God's promises to her; She attempted to work problems out on her own, without consulting God and she tried to cover her faults by blaming others.
© She showed faith by following her husband and protecting him from different rulers. Also Sarah was barren, "....she received strength to conceive seed, and was delivered of a child whn she was past age, because she judged him faithful who had promised". (Hebrews 11:11)
(d) She lacked faith by giving Hagar to Abraham instead of waiting on God.
