(Daniel 3:19-27) What effect does their deliverance have on their government official colleagues? What effect does it have on the king? What kind of glory does God receive?

The satraps, prefects, governors and royal advisers crowded around Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego. The Jews emerge unscathed. They saw that the fire had not harmed their bodies, nor was a hair of their heads singed; their robes were not scorched, and there was no smell of fire on them. They were hardly able to believe that the fire had absolutely no effect on them or their clothing. To say the least, everyone was shocked.

King Nebuchadnezzar leapt to his feet in amazement when he saw that there were four men in the furnace instead of three. King Nebuchadnezzar had sudden and new-found respect for Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego and called them "servants of the Most High God". All glory to God.

Q3. (Daniel 3:19-27) What effect does their deliverance have on their government official colleagues? What effect does it have on the king? What kind of glory does God receive?

PEOPLE'S ATTITUDE CHANGES WITH THE WIND. GOD IS UNSHAKABLE & UNMOVABLE:  Good or bad, attitude is no match for FAITH.  It also proves that those attempting to deliver God’s people to a fiery furnace sometimes get burned themselves; you can’t hold a pig in the mud without getting muddy…PREPARE TO BE AMAZED; GOD IS ALL OF THAT AND MORE… Notice Nebuchadnezzar's sudden respect for "servants of the Most High God."  As in today’s climate; RESULTS override rhetoric! GOD’S 'SHOW & TELL' EVEN'S ALL SCORES! GOD IS GLORY; NO ALLOCATION NEEDED!

Q3.(Daniel 3:19-27) What effect does their deliverance have on their government officials colleagues?

They all saw the fourth "man" in the fire, and gathered around when the king commanded the 3 to come out. They saw that the fire had no power upon their bodies, nor was their hair singed, no smell of smoke clung to them. They had witnessed a miracle!

What effect does it have on the king?

The king was stunned as well, as we see in the next verses!

What kind of glory does God Receive?

King Nebuchadnezzar said "Blessed be the God of Shadrach, Meshack and Abednego, Who has sent His angel and delivered His servants who believed in, trusted in and relied on Him!" V28.

Q3. (Daniel 3:19-27) What effect does their deliverance have on their government official colleagues? What effect does it have on the king? What kind of glory does God receive?

They understood that though Israel was defeated their God was not defeated. The defeat to the Babylonians did not cause the Israelites to doubt the presence and ability of God. The deliverance of the three Hebrews, although they demanded no entitlement as mentioned in the text, reminded the people who witnessed saving episode that God is still present with His people. The obligation of the three Jews to do the right thing was not dependent upon God fulfilling their imagined entitlements.

I’d to emphasize here that the rescue of the three friends must not to be understood as a promise of a miraculous deliverance fulfilled but as a reminder to all present that Israel’s God was still present with His people and that of His ability to save His people.

Acknowledging that presence of Israel’s God, the God who preserved the three Jews from death, injury, and even the smell of fire, the king he issued a decree guaranteeing the Jews freedom to worship their God without any form of hindrance.

Q3. (Daniel 3:19-27) What effect does their deliverance have on their government official colleagues? What effect does it have on the king? What kind of glory does God receive?

The government official colleagues see with their own eyes gathering around Daniel's friends that the fire has had no effect on them and God himself came and rescued Daniels friends.

The king sees the miracle of a fourth person being with Daniel and his friends.  He praises the God of Daniels friends.

Q3. (Daniel 3:19-27) What effect does their deliverance have on their government official colleagues? What effect does it have on the king? What kind of glory does God receive?

The officials of the King were amazed that the fire had not harmed the Jewish men, it had not even singed them. So the people watching crowded around them, perhaps because they could not believe what they had just seen. The king praised God and declared that if anyone was to say or do anything against the God of Israel, he would have them put to death. In addition the King promoted the three men.

Q3. (Daniel 3:19-27) What effect does their deliverance have on their government official colleagues? What effect does it have on the king? What kind of glory does God receive?

The government officials who bound them and watched them thrown into the fire with delight now are crowded around to inspect  the three Hebrews to discover not even a hair on their heads has been singed in the fire that killed those who threw them in.

The king is astonished, amazed, and startled.  With good reason because he is messing with God when he does wrong to His people.

The king gives God glory and praise as he recognizes how Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego were saved by an angel sent by God.  He also says they yielded their bodies, that  they might not serve any god but their own.  I think that is important for us to remember in this age of immorality and persecution.  Who do we yield our bodies to and are we willing to surrender them for our God.

God Bless!

The satraps, the prefects, the governors, and the king's counselors gathered together and saw that the fire had not harm the bodies of those men. The king blessed their God because a angel of God delivered his servants. God received all the glory because He showed the king that He is much greater than the king golden image.

Q3. (Daniel 3:19-27) What effect does their deliverance have on their government official colleagues?

In God's sovereign plan God takes the three Jewish boys defiance in obeying the kings command and turns it into an opportunity to show the king and kingdom the steadfastness of the boys and God's ability to deliver them from imminent death.

What effect does it have on the king?

It causes the king to go completely berserk, demanding that the furnace is made even hotter and then throwing them into the furnace expecting immediate death.

What kind of glory does God receive?

God divinely intervenes on behalf of the boys and not even the smell of the smoke was evident or the singeing of a hair was seen.  You might say that it was a walk in the park for the trio.  The king recognizes that this is the work of the God of all Gods, their God, that they were servants of the "most high God"!

What effect does it have on the king?

A look of surprise and amazement as the king looked into the fiery furnace and asked, did we not put only three men into the fiery furnace?  As the king looked in, he seen four men walking around in the fire, unbound and unharmed, and the fourth looks like a son of the gods. Nebuchadnezzar then approached the opening of the blazing furnace and shouted, 'Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego, servants of the Most High God, come out! Come here!'

What kind of glory does God receive?

The king had a new found respect for God as he saved Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego from the fiery furnace and called him the Most High God.

Q3. (Daniel 3:19-27) What effect does their deliverance have on their government official colleagues? What effect does it have on the king? What kind of glory does God receive?

It doesn't really tell us exactly what effect it has on them. It says they gathered around and saw they were unhurt -- even their clothes were! They didn't even smell of smoke! They must've all been amazed like the king was, though. Another thing was that the king made a new decree that anyone who spoke against them or their God would literally be torn apart and their houses reduced to rubble. That would've stopped the jealous backstabbing.

He praised God as being like no other and made the decree that no one was allowed to speak against them or God. Then he promoted them even higher in the government, which was as opposite to the aims of the other officials as it could've been.

He received all the glory for what happened in the furnace and was glorified as being above all others.

What effect does their deliverance have on their government official colleagues?

It was unbelievable that nothing happened to them.  They were full of fear and respect for Jehovah the God of the Jews.  Fear comes in when the unknown is presented.

What effect does it have on the king?

The king must have remembered something about his visions being revealed and exalts the God of the Jewish men.

What kind of glory does God receive?

God receives all the glory for saving the three men from a fiery death.  But the Jewish men were content to accept whatever God planned for them.

Everyone of the Babylon court was amazed about the deliverance of Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego.  Even king Nebuchadnezzar had to praise their God: "Blessed be the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, who hath sent his angel, and delivered his servants that trusted in him, and have changed the king's word, and yielded their bodies, that they might not serve nor worship any god, except their own God". (Daniel 3:28)

God had shown His saving power to the entire Babylon kingdom, and king Nebuchadnezzar had acknowledge His sovereignty over all other gods.

Q3. (Daniel 3:19-27)

What effect does their deliverance have on their government official colleagues?

What effect does it have on the king?

What kind of glory does God receive?

The government officials crowded around the three and could not believe that they were not harmed in any way. I think the king was more impressed by the miraculous – it must have astonished him. He must have realized that these men had not only been rescued, but also that they had been divinely protected - their hair had not been singed, and even their garments were not scorched. We see that he showed little or no interest in the God they trusted, but more in the sheer power of God. Our Lord delivered these men in a way we cannot imagine, but in a way that glorified His name. This demonstrates to us that we can walk confidently into fiery trials because God Himself stands with us in the midst of the fire. All this reminds me of Isaiah 43:2b: When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze. And 43:5a: Do not be afraid, for I am with you.

The officials cannot believe that their clothes were not singed or their hair. The king shows awe and amazement and even respect now for the God they serve.

The effects of the government officials who witnessed the 3 in the fiery furnace was with amazement. They crowed around the 3 to see that their hair was nor singed, clothes not scorched or did not smell of smoke.

The king is amazed at what he has witnessed, a fourth person in the furnace, that appeared to be a son of God (angle). He has sudden respect for the servants of the Most High God.

God receives glory because now the king gives God respect and praise, even all that all that witnessed the 3 men in the furnace, all give glory to God.
