Q1. (Zechariah 1:3) Why is a message of repentance from sin such an important part of the Gospel? What happens when we remove repentance from the core message of Jesus? Why do you think God wants you to repent of all known sin?

1. The two are interrelated and necessary for salvation.  Mark 1:14, 15 states:Screenshot_2017-09-23-09-44-26-1.png.a438c0361e4ef7e9ee7cbbb941788b5c.png

Furthermore it is written in Luke 24:46,47:Screenshot_2017-09-23-09-42-02-1.png.c57f0d9969b76cf58b668f7d3d6e443e.png

2. We remove the whole reason that the Messiah came.  See Matthew 9:12, 13Screenshot_2017-09-23-09-53-01-1.png.82991fb30de8d95816c190472da296ae.png

According to Luke 13:3 we will perish if we don't repent.   See Luke 13:3:Screenshot_2017-09-23-10-00-49-1.png.4d4823b78d168d70ad7533047728b26b.png

1. We cannot truly follow Jesus and try to straddle the fence with sin. We will not or cannot truly be born again unless we admit that we are sinners in need of a Savior. Sin is what separates us from God, before we are born again, and if we continue "winking" at our sinful ways after we come to Jesus we erect a barrier of fear, guilt and condemnation which destroys intimacy and fellowship with Him. He desires an honest relationship with us...not a fake plastic one with a nod in His direction while in church.

2. To remove repentance from the core message of Jesus, is to nullify the purpose Jesus came to live, die for our sins, be resurrected and return to the Father and to send the Holy Spirit to live in us. Christianity isn't a club or secret society or religion we join so we look and feel acceptable and accepted. It is a full on dive into the deep end of the pool of His love and shed blood, recognizing that without doing so, we are on a fast track to an eternity in hell. To remove repentance from the Gospel makes for an empty, feel good, heretical and false religion like all the rest of them which abound.

3. Known sin which persists without repentance causes shame and guilt which results in  a huge blockage in our relationship with Him, and most likely in our other relationships. I love the verses which tell us to make straight the highways of our hearts for Him.  It's a visual "picture" for me. Known sin puts up a "ROAD BLOCK...DO NOT ENTER" for Him. DIVIDED HIGHWAY signs tell Him we have other priorities which don't include Him. DIP IN THE ROAD tells Him we're needing to be comforted or carried through a difficult or low time.  DETOUR signs tell Him to take a hike. THROUGH TRAFFIC signs welcome His full participation in our heart and life.  ROAD NARROWS AHEAD: Tells Him we're slowing down to spend more time with just Him to focus on His Word and to meditate on it.  While NO U TURN signs tell Him we acknowledge His promise to never leave us nor forsake us and we  are a straight way for Him to travel in and through us wherever He wants to take us.

We cannot decide to follow Christ and not turn from our sinful ways. Remember He died for our sins on the Cross to enable us to have a personal relationship with God. As we truly realise what Christ has done for us on the Cross, we are believing His word and that sin is not part of being in relationship with Christ. Being fallen and human, we need to repent every day - when we don't repent, it offends God's holiness.

We all were born as sinners and must repent in order to return back to God.  Removing repentance from the core message of Jesus mean we do not recognize the purpose of his leaving the Father to come and die for our sins.  God wants us to repent of all known sin in order to have a relationship with him.

When we repent we have a cleanness of the heart, our heart must be transformed in a place of praise for God. When we actually acknowledge to God that we really need and trust him things in  your life begin to change.

Jesus’s comment in Luke 13:3 explains it best: but unless you repent, you will all likewise perish. Without repentance what changes? For the unrepentant sinner, nothing so why should God, who demands we be holy offer eternal life to someone who has no intention of conforming to God’s will? The promise of eternal life is the driving force in man which would bring one to Christ and if Jesus Himself says “you will all likewise perish,” then what is the sense in preaching, or sharing the gospel with others if such an important aspect of salvation?

When you remove repentance from the core message of Jesus, you are apparently trying to teach a new version of salvation which does not now, nor ever has existed.

God wants us to repent from all known sin because Jesus said, Be you therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.Matthew 5:48 How can we be perfect if we have not repented of all known sin? Are we not supposed to search ourselves? We cannot completely conform to God’s image, in an unrepentant state because it means there is something we don’t want to let go of which stops us from attaining that perfection.

Repentance from sin is important part of the Gospel because when you do you will be getting closer to God. If we remove repentance from the core message of Jesus then we will not get right with God. We will think that we can do anything and don’t have to worry about the consequences. God already knows the sins that I have committed he just wants me to acknowledge them.

(Zechariah 1:3) Why is a message of repentance from sin such an important part of the Gospel? What happens when we remove repentance from the core message of Jesus? Why do you think God wants you to repent of all known sin?

Sin is what caused the fall of man. We have inherited sin from our fathers(Adam and Eve). Sin separates us from God. God is Holy and without holiness we cannot have a relationship with God. Therefore, repentance( the turning away from sin) is a vital part of the Gospel.

When we remove repentance from the core message of Jesus, we are nullifying/invalidating the work of the Cross. Jesus died for our sins. He took our place on the cross and  suffered the penalty for us. Not only did Jesus pay the debt of sin on our behalf, but he also shares with us his righteousness. We have been made "right" with God.

God is Holy. He has provided the means in which we also can be holy. The Holy Spirit works in us to sanctify us. God desires for us to be One with the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. This can only be possible when we turn away from all sin and seek communion(daily walking) with the Father, guided by the Holy Spirit, in Jesus Christ our Lord.

Repentance is at the heart of the gospel.  If we don't turn from sin--we will still be a slave to sin.

We have a love gospel that means nothing; no recognizing sin for what it is.

Holiness, growth in Him, Holy Spirit's power in us.

Q1. (Zechariah 1:3) Why is a message of repentance from sin such an important part of the Gospel? What happens when we remove repentance from the core message of Jesus? Why do you think God wants you to repent of all known sin?

 1. Repentance is necessary because it gives you a clean heart to serve God and it let’s God know that you are sorry for what you did wrong.

 2. There is no communication with God and we are punished for what we do wrong. Things could possibly get worst.

 3. That will show him you are serious, aware of the sin, and will be determined to not do it again. To have a relationship with him, whereas nothing is in the way.

Q1. (Zechariah 1:3)
Why is a message of repentance from sin such an important part of the Gospel?
What happens when we remove repentance from the core message of Jesus?
Why do you think God wants you to repent of all known sin?

Without repentance there can be no salvation. It is therefore an integral part of the Gospel. If we have accepted Christ as Saviour, the Holy Spirit at some point regenerates us imparting new spiritual life within us. This changes our thinking about our sin, our relationship to God, and about the work of Jesus for salvation. We now feel a sincere sorrow for the sins we have done and now commit ourselves to forsake it and walk in obedience to Christ. In repentance we, as sinners, come to a true intellectual realisation of our sinful condition – that we are dead spiritually and have an urgent need for forgiveness. We also realise that our sinful condition is offensive to the Lord. We then make a decision to turn away from both our lifestyle of sin and our individual acts of sin.

Our Heavenly Father desires to have a relationship with us, but all unconfessed known sin keeps us separated from Him. In order to be eligible to enter the kingdom, we have to do an about-face regarding sin, and believe the good news concerning the Lord Jesus. We, therefore, need to lead a life of repentance for He has promised that if we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9). He is just to forgive our daily sins, because Jesus has borne the penalty for all our sin, past, present, and future.

the message of repentance is important because we must repent of our sins before God is able to forgive us and wipe away our sins and klokov with a cloak of righteousness of Christ.

we cannot remove the message of repentance from Jesus message because repentance and salvation I'll go together.

God wants us to repent because we are on able to stand before God when we are covered with sins.

Because of new life with God, put out the sins, learn from our mistakes and believe God help all the time, God makes us clean and must be stronger to see the Salvation only come from our God Jesus Christ.

The message of repentance is very important part of the Gospel because, we are all sinners and to be purified and to live in the presence of Holy God we should be free from sins, and by repenting for our sins we get privelage or else we perish.

The core of the message from Jesus is Repentance from sins if we remove this part then there is no forgiveness and santification and no entry into eternal kingdom.

God wants us to repent from our sins, because if dont repent and change our ways for every sin we are answarable ot God and we have to pay a price every sin, if we repent God being merciful, kind and loving will willingly forgive us because He is waiting for us to turn to Him so that he will turn towards us.

Repentance is very important, otherwise we are still in sin. We will not have a close relationship with God if we live in sin without repentance. He wants us to have a close and imtimate relationship with Him so he wants us to let go and turn back to HIM.  When we repent we acknowledge our sin and put it away to have an intimacy with God.

A message of repentance from sin is an important part of the Gospel because it teaches that sin separates us from God.  When we remove repentance from the core message of Jesus conversion is stunted.  The hearers will continue in sin and repentance unto conversion never happens.  God wants you to repent of all known sin in obedience to His commandment, live a discipline life and walk in closeness with Him.

The gospels stress the importance from sin because sin keeps us from closeness with the Lord. #2 If we remove repentance from the core of Jesus message then his message is useless. #3 God wants us to repent of all our sin so we can have a closeness with him and be a holy people to him.

Why is a message of repentance from sin such an important part of the Gospel? Because it warns people to turn away from their sinful ways and obey God Almighty. Disobedience has disastrous consequences.

What happens when we remove repentance from the core message of Jesus? It will be impossible to repent. God does not forget nor does he forget continual patterns of sin as both keep one from closeness to God and subject one to severe discipline from God if we continue in them. God withdraws his blessings.

Why do you think God wants you to repent of all known sin? So that you may observe his commands and decrees he gave us. So that we may return to him and to follow him. So as to be close to us and also bless us. He wants us to be obedient.

The acknowledgment and repentance of sin before God opens the door of the soul for a relationship with the Trinity as well as the redemptive work of the Gospel in one's life.  When repentance is removed there is no acknowledgment of sin, no healing, no understanding of the Gospel, and no indwelling presence of the Holy spirit.   There is no transformative process going on.

Repenting of known sin is acknowledging those acts and/or omissions of acts as sin before God. It brings us into agreement with God and opens our inner person for the Holy Spirit to transform us into Christ-like human beings.

We cannot have salvation without repentance. If we think we can then we are on the wrong track. Jesus came to die for our sins, to enable us to have salvation but if we don’t repent and are not true my sorry for all we have done then we will not be saved. Repentance is an integral part of the gospel message.

In order to become close to God we must repent of all known sin in our lives. If we harbour sin it will form a barrier to having an intimate relationship with God. Also God will punish us if we deliberately keep on sinning and not seek His help to stop whatever we are doing.
