Dear friends:

It's great to hear your answers to the questions. Due to the 
great volume of e-mail, I need to remind you to observe some 
guidelines. Some of you are new and may not be aware of 
these:

1. BREVITY. Please keep your responses short.

2. QUOTING. Please cut off as much as possible of the e-mail 
you are responding to. Only give a sentence or two for 
context only. Please do not include quotes from 
commentaries, books, etc. for the sake of brevity.

3. RESPONDING. To send your comments to the list e-mail them 
to biblestudy@joyfulheart.com

4. PRIVATE MESSAGES. If you are speaking to a particular 
participant PLEASE do it to their own e-mail address, NOT to 
the list as a whole. If your comments are reflections on 
their ideas, then send it to the list as a whole. With this 
many people we need to use great care in sending private 
messages privately.

5. ON-TOPIC. Please keep your messages close to the 
announced topic -- no rabbit trails. I can't complain at 
all. You've done very well on this! Please don't begin to 
debate doctrines. Let's discuss, if you will, what this 
particular passage says about the doctrine.

6. PRAYER REQUESTS. While we will have a few emergencies, I 
prefer to keep on-line prayers for prayer requests for 
Saturdays and Sundays when we aren't doing the study. If 
someone asks for prayer during the weekdays, pray for them 
and encourage them privately via PRIVATE e-mail, but please 
don't do it on the list that goes to everyone.

Thanks for bearing with me here. We are really doing 
amazingly well together. These are just reminders to help us 
learn together how to do this kind of wonderful interactive 
study.  Keep up the good work!
