Q1. Persecution and Spiritual Growth

Recommended Posts

  • 2 months later...

Persecutions.pressure and stress show our level of faith in Jesus. When we are faced with dificulties which create pressure and stress or might be even persecuted while standing and serving Christ, we are tested to see how we exhibit our faith in Jesus. If i count it all joy, then I am a real disciple and it is making my faith grow stronger . If i quit, then I know i do not trust the Lord enough. As James says count it all joy when you face trials of different kind because it make me mature in Christ. We will become mature Christians and grow strong in the Lord .When we face pressure and stress it is at that time, the Lord is ever close than before. We are able to experience his love ,grace and strength in those darker and tougher times of our life. We will come out victorious and stand witness to the Lord and shall be able to comfort many more who did suffer like us. God has designed them for a purpose in our lives.

Our faith needs to get tested to see how much we have grown in the Lord and it becomes a test of endurance with the Lord. With every rising pressure and stress our character is revealed to us. We need to be tested to grow strong in the Lord and be mature Christians tasting the power of the resurrected Lord. Without them, we do not grow

In what ways do persecution, pressure and stress help us grow strong in Christ?

If we just believe, but do want to obey Jesus, our faith will not endure under the pressure of persecution and will "fall" away. But if we endure the stress and pressure, and rejoice, we will have much more confidence in our faith and it will show the unbeliever that what we believe is true.

What would we be like without the testing of our faith?

We will not fully believe in Jesus without someone questioning how we believe. I believe because I have had to show why I believe and also demonstrate my faith in actions. No faith is pure without being tested to see if it will stand true. Without the testing of our faith, we have nothing to lean on.

In what ways do persecution, pressure, and stress help us grow strong in Christ?

These are ways we prove our faith, as well as ways that we are being sanctified. When we go through hard times, we learn to trust more on God, and less on ourselves.

Our character grows and becomes better as we leave the bad behind and move forward in Christ

What would we be like without the testing of our faith?

We will expect to receive without producing as well. We will not experience God, because as i am being tested i also learn to call out to God to help me through my trying period

Q1. (2 Thessalonians 1:3-5) In what ways do persecution, pressure, and stress help us grow strong in Christ? What would we be like without the testing of our faith?

Our trials and tribulations increase our faith, ability to persevere and our love for God and each other. People don't grow in the easy life. The storms of live set our minds on Christ and our priorities get straightened. I am talking about Christians and those who will turn to Christ and His love.

Without testing we would be shallow and we would never know for ourselves if we would be true to the One who is worthy.

God Bless!

Jen

Persecution, tribulation, trials and suufering help us to grow in our faith in God's ability to overcome up coming trials; make our love for fellow suffering believers to increase and we develop further ability to persevere in all pressures.

Without these trials we will not be able to deveolp that perseveraing muscles in times of the trials.

Testing proves our faith. A person whose faith has not been tested, is weak. We grow stronger as we depend upon God in our trials. We see his answers to prayer and trust him even more. Testing within a group draws the members of the group closer together. When we stand united in Christ Jesus, we have strength to even die for Him.

Q1. (2 Thessalonians 1:3-5) In what ways do persecution, pressure, and stress help us grow strong in Christ?

In order for us to grow we must first purpose in our hearts to stay faithful to Israel's Messiah, and we must purpose in our hearts to walk in the fullness and power of the Spirit, for if we are not persuaded that neither death, nor life, nor principalities, nor powers, nor persecution, nor pressure, nor stress shall separate us from the love of God, which is in the Messiah than we will fail.

What would we be like without the testing of our faith?

Testing will prove us to be either "HOT" - "COLD" or "LUKEWARM."

Q1. (2 Thessalonians 1:3-5) In what ways do persecution, pressure, and stress help us grow strong in Christ? What would we be like without the testing of our faith?

I think that without testing we would tend to take our faith for granted. We wouldn't appreciate it as much. Also, it helps us define where our priorities are. If something is worth suffering for, then it is appropriately important to our lives

(2 Thessalonians 1:3-5) In what ways do persecution, pressure, and stress help us grow strong in Christ?

Because we are all the more dependent on Christ; 2 Corinthians 12:10 That is why for Christ's sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, I am strong.

What would we be like without the testing of our faith?

That situation could easily lead to a complacent attitude; one in which we are walking in our own strength. We would possibly be spiritually weak, so when the testing came, (and it will in one form or another) we would ill prepared for a time, to bear up under it. Romans 5:2b-3 And we boast in the hope of the glory of God. Not only so, but we also boast in our suffering, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance character, and character, hope.

Q1. (2 Thessalonians 1:3-5) In what ways do persecution, pressure, and stress help us grow strong in Christ?

These strengthen us and build endurance, patience, character, and long suffering...qualities which are only "worked" into us. Kind of like steel being tempered...the more pressure, the stronger the metal. The persecution causes us to dig deeper in our faith and to rely on the strength of the Lord instead of our own. It purifies our motives and causes us to stop and think about what is really important in life.

James 1:3-4 these "trials prove our faith, so that we become people whose faith is perfectly and fully developed.

What would we be like without the testing of our faith?

We would be weak "flabby" fleshy Christians...probably strong willed, self serving, self pandering....more than likely not bearing much good fruit which honors the Lord and builds His kingdom.

Q1. (2 Thessalonians 1:3-5) In what ways do persecution, pressure, and stress help us grow strong in Christ? What would we be like without the testing of our faith?

Persecution, pressure, and stress helps grow our faith, increases our love for our brothers in Christ, develops spiritual strength, and utlimately makes

us worthly to be a part of the Kingodom of God. The testing of our faith makes us strong in our faith and develops a stronger, closer relationship with God.

Without a testing of our faith we really don't know the reality of our faith. We need the good, the bad, and the ugly in our lives to develop and understand our faith and trust in God.

Q1. (2 Thessalonians 1:3-5)

In what ways do persecution, pressure, and stress help us grow strong in Christ?

What would we be like without the testing of our faith?

We often see that any kind of persecution, pressure, or stress destroys one’s faith – this is especially true if we only have a shallow faith, not deeply rooted in our Lord and Saviour. This faith will actually be exposed as a false faith. True faith, on the other hand, is indestructible, because the Lord Jesus Christ will not allow it to be destroyed. It will only with the help of the Holy Spirit become stronger and stronger under any kind of pressure. So all these stresses we undergo are like a litmus test of our faith and will expose us for what we truly are.

Q1. (2 Thessalonians 1:3-5) In what ways do persecution, pressure, and stress help us grow strong in Christ? What would we be like without the testing of our faith?

Persecutions, pressure and stresses in life are usually situations that are beyond our capabilities or out of our control. In these situations, we turn to God for help and we learn He is trustworthy and faithful and that He is above and more powerful than anything that comes against us. We learn to be humble and to trust Him and count on Him in times of stress. We also learn His wisdom is far above ours and we can rest in His leading in our circumstances! We are also strengthened in perseverance. At first we want to tend to fall down and give in to hopelessness and worry, but we soon learn there is always hope in Christ and we become stronger in the face of adversity, knowing we have hope in God....instead of hoping for good circumstances all the time. We are not left alone and He never forsakes us...ever.

Without the testing of our faith we would never grow and we would never experience the truth of God in our lives. We wouldn't come to really KNOW Him and His character or His intentions towards us that are loving and good and FOR our good to grow into spiritual maturity.

Persecution, pressure and stress help us to grow strong in Christ as during the persecution, presssure and stress our faith is tested and our faith in Christ helps us to persevere, being an indication of our strong growth in Christ.

What would we be like without the testing of our faith?

Without the testing of our faith, we would be boasting ourselves of being faithful to Christ while in actual sense we are not.

Q1. (2 Thessalonians 1:3-5) In what ways do persecution, pressure, and stress help us grow strong in Christ?

When we're in the pressure cooker of life sometimes our only hope is Christ. People let us down and sheer bad luck and hard circumstances knock us over. We HAVE to depend on God because there's no one else to turn to. It'd be nice if He did lighten the load occasionally though.

What would we be like without the testing of our faith?

Simply put: There'd be no need for faith if it was never tested. If you never need any help, you never have to ask.

We grow more when our faith is tested than when all is going well. Trials of our faith are an intentional part of God's growth plan for his children. God will be faithful to us even when we face persecutions and when we see God faithful in the midst of our trials, our faith blossoms. If God can help us in this situation, we reason, he can help us in any situation. When we come out on the other side of troubles, having endured the worst Satan could throw at us, we are stronger. We know they can outlast troubles in the future without giving in and that Jesus is stronger than our trials.

If our faith is not tested we will remain immature and not grow in our faith. When we go through difficult times we learn to trust more in God and during these times God is the closest to us than ever before revealing more about himself to us and teaching us new things and correcting us of errors we have done in life. When we are out of these tests successfully, it will be easy for us to understand people who are going through the same tests as us and we can encourage them and be with them as they go through trials with our testimonies and in turn their faith also will be increased in Christ. Trials shows us who we are in Christ and also helps in building perseverance and good character.

persecution, pressure and stress brings us much closer to Christ because in situations like these we cling to Jesus as our help , our hope and our comfort. The word of God says in 2 Corinthians 1:3-4-- Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have recevied from God.

when we face these situations with right attitude with Christ as our strength we will be able to overcome these situations and we will be able to comfort other believers in their troubles and enable them love and serve Christ in a effective way. Persecutions enable us put all our trust in God and enable us to grow stronger in Christ and hold fast to the Word of God as weapon of victory. It is through situations like these we are also able to give up all those things which do not please our God and these situations make us pure and holy and in turn we will be used by God in a powerful way. we will be filled with the overflowing grace of Jesus Christ and He is able to pour his mighty Holy Spirit on us to do great works for Him. As we keep our focus on Jesus, thank him and praise him continually we will come out as refined gold and we will be valuable instruments in the hands of God to fulfil his mighty purposes.

we will not be able to continue a strong walk with our Saviour if not circumstances which come to test are faith. the weakeness in us cannot be turned into strengths. If not for testing circumstances we may not be able to value the love of Christ for us or the blessings he gives us. Testings produces perseverance and in turn this will cleanse our character too and fill us with the love and knowledge of Jesus.

Q1. (2 Thessalonians 1:3-5) In what ways do persecution, pressure, and stress help us grow strong in Christ?

Persecution, pressure, and stress help us grow strong in Christ when our faith is tested then when we are doing well.

Four points is seen when our faith is tested.

  1. Growing faith – Experiencing God’s answer to our prayers and trials.
  2. Increasing love – As we experience common trials together it strengthens us and it binds us in love for one another.
  3. Perserverance – Steadfastness; Helps us to hold on in the face of difficulties and trials, and
  4. Counted worthy – To be able to stand the test proves that we are worthy of the kingdom to which we have been called.

What would we be like without the testing of our faith?

Without the testing of our faith we would be like a sinking ship without an anchor, or a young tree whose roots has not taken hold, or have no stakes to keep it from blowing over.

We would not have any hope or a sure foundation, which is Christ.

2 Timothy 2:19 - Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity. (KJV)

Isaiah 33:6 - He will be the sure foundation for your times, a rich store of salvation and wisdom and knowledge; the fear of the Lord is the key to this treasure. (NIV)

1 Corinthians 3:11 - For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ.

Persection, stress, and pressure helps us grow strong in Christ by 1]helping our faith to grow more, 2]helping us to learn how to endure, and 3]helping to become worthy of the Kingdom of God.

Without the testing of our faith, we would become complacent and we wouldn't grow in our Christian walk.

In what ways do persecution, pressure, and stress help us grow strong in Christ?

Persecution, pressure and stress increases our faith because in most instances our human ability would not be enough to face, overcome and persevere. When we go through persecution and pressures we realise that only our faith can help us rise above those problems. It is a testing ground for our faith in Jesus Christ. When we come through victorious it increases our faith and get closer to God.

What would we be like without the testing of our faith?

Without testing we will never know  what true faith is. It may be easy to state our commitment to and faith in Christ when everything is going well according to plan. But  when faced with persecution many of us may backslide or back out as our faith hasn't been tested and we fear the world  It is during these testing times that we know how strong our faith is. Even Peter denied knowing Jesus when faced with imminent arrest. We howerever do not have to endure such severe tests to increase our faith. Even ordinary day-to-day problems tests our Christian faith.

I think that persecution, pressure and stress help us grow strong in Christ because we are going to him more asking for help. We know that He is always there but when things are going great then we don’t talk to Him as much. We need to always be looking for way to get closer to Him.

If we weren’t being tested in our faith then we would thing that we are good enough with the help of God.
