  1. People who aren't Christians does not have the Holy Spirit.

Christ and the Father make their home in people who are save and ask for the baptism of the Holy Spirit.

Your body is the temple of God where the Spirit dwell.

The spirit empower you to witness to others and empower you to  use the gift/gifts that he has given you.

  2. When you are lead by the flesh, you feed your desire and whatever you want. Yes, we can have victory over temptation.Jesus came to break the sin of living after the flesh. We have to make a decision to live and walk by the spirit. We have to submit to God and allow the spirit to empower us to resist temptation and taking god by his word that he will give us an escape from the temptation. It can be a struggle and disheartening. but we have to stay focus on God.

  3. The pattern that Jesus teaches us to stay connected to the Father for his will to be done.

He spent quiet time with the Father so that he wouldn't get distracted on what the day will bring.

Jesus prepare for his ministry by seeking the Father first.

He minister through the spirit since the spirit know the thought of the Father and not to learn on his own understanding. He is teaching us to inmate him so we can know the will of the Father. Jesus was all God and all human but he demonstrating his human side .

  4. Jesus was born from a virgin(Mary). When she went to see Elizabeth (pregnant with John) the baby leap inside. This was the spirit confirming Jesus inside of the belly. Jesus was born fully human and fully divine. He came to do his Father business by removing the power of the devil on us. He was always praying and was given all authority and power on earth. He went around healing and delivering people. Holy Spirit came upon him  as he came up from the water of baptism. An audible voice from heaven came to confirmed that he was the son of God.

The spirit also overshadow us by empowering us to do God's will(assignments) We can do nothing apart from his spirit.

  5. By following he spirit, Peter lead the evangelism with the Gentile.

When others criticized Peter, he explained to them that it was God's will. An angel had been with them and told them to go get Peter and the spirit told Peter to go with them. This was a confirmation for the both of them. The real question is who do you want to please? Man or God

  6. If Paul wasn't sure of his instruction from the Holy Spirit, he would not have gone.

Yes, being in my human spirit I would have told him not to go since hardship and danger was ahead and after the prophet had shown him being in bondage.

When we choose the easy way, it is just a temporary solution.  The problem is still there. We  don't learn the lesson that God want us to received.

  7. I believe he made the contrast to show us that we expect God in outer things. We look for something powerful, big, extra ordinary, thunder   but God focus on the relationship with you. Sometime we focus on outer things (distraction) and miss God's voice. This is why we need to quiet ourselves and listen.

God comfort Elijah and gave him a new assignment. We all can be in this isolated place and pity party forgetting how  big our God is. God had shown himself mightly through Elijah before this.

We can get confuse in hearing God when our thoughts get in the way. We want God to support what we want. God can speak to us but we can add to it and  be disappointed. Lord, teach us how to listen to your voice.

  8. Jesus want us to imitate him. He want to be an example of how we seek the Father's will and cooperate with him, then we will see the power of god in action through us. Jesus was letting us know that he couldn't do anything without the father, neither can we. He depended on pray and God's spirit for guidance in spite that He was part of the trinity. Jesus came in the flesh to be an example for us. For our ministry, we must do the same. Pray and read and depend on his spirit for guidance and to hear from God.

  9. If Joshua dwell on his anxieties, he wouldn't do anything but live in fear.

Strong in the Lord and Courageous to be obedient

Joshua knew that he had to depend on God just like Moses had done. He couldn't do it in his own strength. ( This is the reason that God gave us his spirit because he knew that we can't do his will without the spirit)

Yes I believe that you can be courageous and still be fearful. You can be obedience to God but fear the response of people.

  10. Joshua was confident that if God, Almight was with him then all was well.

It give me confident that no matter what I am facing that God will make  a way for me to endure and strengthen me.

We know that we can't do anything without God. He is an unlimited God and with all power. We believe in faith that we can do all things through Christ Jesus who strengthen us.
