[Q3. Self-perception vs God's perception]

God saw Gideon as "mighty warrior". Gideon was humble enough to consider himself the weakest of the weak. He had a worldly perception of himself. But God is Almighty, capable of making any one mighty. However at first Gideon didn't realized that God was speaking to him. God said to Gideon that He will be with him and gave strong suggestive assertiveness that Gideon will be able to srike down the Medianites all together.

Prayer: Almighty God, help me to recognize what You want me to do.

[Q1. Breaking God's commandment]

Israelites worshiped the gods of Amorites. Thus they broke the second commandment. "Though shall have no other gods before me ". The prophet pointed out this to the Israleites but they didn't care.

[Q2. Blaming God for our troubles.]

The Lord was not with Israelites.

Gideon's assessment was inaccurate because, the God was always with them but they were away from Him. It's human tendancey to find fault with others for our misery.
