  1. We must be very careful that we do not come to take the Lord's Supper or Communion with unforgiveness in our hearts. The instructions were to be sure we had the forgivenss of our sins under the blood before partaking of His communion, because He plainly told them, because they came with sin in their lives, some became very sick, other even fell asleep or died. Our Heavenly Father expects us His children to live right, do right and be right if not then we MUST pay the price.

  2. Paul was exhorting them to believe and trust and obey. That was what he was trying to make them understand. The Lord's cup is easy and a blessing, the demons cup is hard and no blessings come with it. We as His children are admonished to be obedient to the one and only true God, and in obedience to Him, we will not try to ride the fence and walk and remember God and what He has done for us and try to please the devil too. It will not work, for we will love the one and hate the other and if we choose to go the way of demons we will fall and never be able to get up again. We MUST choose God and His plan and remember what He has done for us and all those who were behind us and all those who are before us. We have run this race to win and if we fail now and don't be obedient we will surely fall and lose all our rewards.

  3. Q1. When repeated often, doesn't the Lord's Supper run the risk of becoming mundane and lose its meaning? Why did Jesus command its repetition?

Taking the Lord's Supper could very easy become numdane to sleeping Christians in this day and age, but Jesus wanted us to take the Lord's Supper often as a reminder of what He did for each of us. We take everything in a mundane way today, killing, stealing, etc. so if we can do that in our lives today, don't you think it very possible that we as Christians have fallen to sleep and forgotten to worship, and praise and adore the very one who made it all possible for us to get to heaven. We become creatures of habit and forget why we do things and don't have any feelings at all when we do them and don't care why we do them except to be sure we do things because everybody else does. We must not go back, we must go forward, and in so doing, we MUST take the Lord's Supper often and with great pleasure and reverance.

    thank you,

    Rev. Dr. Jo Jordan
