  1. Q4. (Hebrews 5:8) In what sense did Jesus "learn obedience from what he suffered"? How did Jesus' learning process differ from ours, since he didn't sin and suffer the consequences of his sin -- the way we usually learn?

Jesus chose to obey His Father will. All that His Father plan from the beginning for us even death on the cross. Jesus was in full complete submission to His Father will.

  2. Q2. (Hebrews 4:15) In what ways did Jesus share our weaknesses? In what ways was Jesus' tempted? Because we know he didn't sin, were his temptations easier or more difficult than ours? Do we have any temptations he didn't have? Why does it comfort us that he can sympathize with our temptations and weaknesses?

Jesus share our weakness by taking on human nature. Jesus was tempted in every way that we are, Jesus tempatation was just like our. We have every temptation that Jesus had, in some country believers are temped with their faith whether to live for Jesus or to be put to death. It comfort us to know that we can go to Him in prayer about our weakness and temptations because He experience them all and He can lead us and help us.

  3. Q3. (Hebrews 4:8-11) What do you think the writer of Hebrews means by this promise of "rest" for the believer? Why does the writer urge us: "Make every effort to enter that rest"? What is the difference between apostasy from Christ and the kind of falling into sin that all Christians experience from time to time?

The promise of rest for the believers is peace with God for eternal life when we go home to be with the Lord. And eternal rest in the place that Jesus Christ is preparing for us. Plus we do not have to wait wntil we get to heaven to have this rest, we can have it daily now, our peace in God.

  4. Q2. (Hebrews 3:12-14) What is the importance of faith in our relationship to Christ? How does sin trick us? How does it harden us? What is the value of Christian fellowship to keep our faith strong?

That we must have faith, to have belief in Jesus Christ. We must look within ourself and see our own weakness, do a heart check....make sure our heart is pure, clean and not to be hardened by sin's deceitfulness. Sin can trick us by falling out of fellowship with other believers. No man is an island. It is not good being alone, we need the encouragements, exhortations and prayers from our brothers and sisters.

  5. Q1. (Hebrews 3:6b) Why is the writer exhorting his readers to "hold on" to Christ? Why must we continue in our faith? According the writer of Hebrews, what happens if we don't?

We must hold on to Jesus Christ because He is our only hope, our hope of salvation. We must hold firm to our faith.

We continue in our faith because we are His house, Jesus lives in us, Jesus is the Sent One from God. He is our High Priest, Jesus is over us (His house).

If we do not hold on to our faith, courage and hope we will lose it and become faithless.

  6. Q4. (Hebrews 2:14-15) What was the purpose of Christ's death according to verses 14 and 15? In what sense is this mission accomplished? In what sense will it see its final completion in the future? What is the result in our lives from Christ's accomplishment?

The purpose of Jesus Christ death was to destroy the devil and to free the believers from the fear of death. Satan powers has been broken and we no longer fear death. In the future the final completion will be when satan and his followers will be judge and burn in the lake of fire forever. The ruslt in our lives will be when we will go home and be with Jesus forever.

  7. Q3. (Hebrews 2:10) What does it mean, to bring many sons and daughters "to glory"? In what sense did Jesus become "perfect" through suffering? What are the implications for our own lives?

Jesus is the captain of our salvation. He is our Leader, He is our guide, He encourage us and by this we follow Him. We accept the gift of salvation. Jesus is the author and the finisher of our faith.

Jesus was already perfect, but He became perfect through suffering by coming to earth in human form (man) taking on the sins of the world and dying on the cross.

In my life Jesus is my example, He is my leader, my guide and I am to follow Him day by day.

  8. Q2. (Hebrews 2:9) In what way did Christ "taste death for everyone"? Why is this so dependent upon God's grace? If Christ died for your blackest and most stubborn sins, what are the implications for you?

Jesus being fully dinve, God's Son, He became fully human, to die on the cross to save us. Jesus death on the cross, dying for our sins, He substitute himself for our own sins, due not to any merit of our own, was by the grace of God. When I looked back at my past life and the blackest of my sins, Iam worthy of death and hell. But the blood of Jesus washed and cleansed me.

  9. Q1. (Hebrews 2:9) In what ways did Jesus suffer during his life and death? In what ways are we likely to suffer? Does suffering have any value? What happens when we live in such a way to avoid all suffering?

In all points Jesus suffer, He suffered from the rejection of the peoples, their lack of faith, betrayed, and false accused. Jesus suffer tortured on the way to the cross and on the cross. Jesus also suffered physically, mentally and emotionally. We suffer in the same way, we also suffer because of our faith. I believe that no one can live in this world without suffering and to try to do this you are fooling yourself and living in falsehood. No one can esape some form of suffering. :(

  10. Q4. (Hebrews 2:3b-4) In what way has the truth of salvation been confirmed to you? Would signs and wonders help or hinder establishing the truth of Christ's ministry today? From which portion of the Bible have you formed your opinion of the value of signs and wonders today?

The truth of salvation has been confirmed to me by the word of God working in me, the change in my life and the Holy Spirit that is within me. I think signs and wonders can be both hindrance and help, we must be careful the Bible warn about false prophets. Signs and wonders today? I think Matt. 7:15-23. I still believe that God works wonders today and give us a sign,

  11. Q3. (Hebrews 2:1) In what ways are we not immune to drifting away from the gospel? According to the author, how can we successfully resist the tendency to drift? How did Jesus describe this phenomenon of "drift" in the Parable of the Sower?

We must be grounded in the Word, to stay in our Word (not just read it but to study) apply the Word to our life, so that we we not drift away, pray for the Holy Spirt help. The world is full of temptations. We must learn to be doers of the Word not hearer.

We must pay careful (earnest) attention to our leaders teaching, what Jesus taught and what we read and study from our Bible. We must let the seeds of the Word fall on good soil letting the roots growing deep within our heart, not on bad ground.

  12. Q2. (Hebrews 1:2-3) What about the author's description of the Son makes you think that the Son described is himself divine? What role does the Son have in doing the Father's will according to these verses?

Jesus is divine, He is the Son of God, He is the brightness of His Father glory and the express image. When we look back at Genesis 1:26 God was speaking to Jesus when He said,"Let us make man in our image, after our likeness:" Jesus was with God from the very beginning of time. Jesus is appointed heir of all thing. He is now sitting on the right hand of the Majesty on high.

Jesus Himself had purged our sins.

  13. Q1. (Hebrews 1:2) In what way do you think the author of Hebrews is using the word "Son"? As a metaphor? As a biological relationship? How would a Son's words have more weight than a prophet's?

I believe that the use of the word "Son" is not a metaphor but is used in a biological relationship. God the Father, Jesus Christ the Son. In Matt. 3:17 at Jesus baptism God spoke from heaven saying, "This is my beloved Son...." And In John 1:18 it say, "...the only begotten Son, which is in the bossom of the Father..."

The Son's words have more weight than a prophet's because a prophet speak what gives him to say, where in John 1:1 read, "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God."

  14. Grace and Peace to all, I am looking forward in studying with everyone the Book of Hebrew. I have read through the book many of times but never study it. Well I study a chapter here and a few verses there, but never the whole book. I love studying with Pastor Ralph, he has a great online study. I love studying the Word of God, I can never get enough of it. I just moved from Pa to Fl about 1 1/2 month ago, and I am still unpacking. I am a 54 yrs old mother, I have one grown son. I have been cancer free for one year now!! PRAISE THE LORD! GOD IS GOOD! HE IS STILL THE HEALER!!:D

  15. Q4. What will our resurrection bodies be like? Why do you think we will be given resurrection bodies? What is the point?

Our resurrection bodies shall be like Jesus Christ a glorious body.

We arew given a new resurrection bodies because in the new heaven and earth there will be no sin nor sickness, this is why our body will be change.

Because we will be in the presence of God.

  16. Q3. What does the phrase "redemption of our bodies"(Romans 8:23-24) tell us about our resurrection? What words in 1 Corinthians 15:42-44 describe our resurrection bodies?

Redemption of our bodies will be when our bodies will be rise again in incorruptable new glorious body.

Our bodies will be imperishable, rise in glory, rise in power, and rised a spiritual body. Praise the Lord!

  17. Q1. What is the word used in the Bible instead of "rapture"? When will the resurrection take place in relation to Christ's return? In relation to judgment? In relation to glory? (This is NOT the place to debate various theories of the rapture and the millennium.)

The words used instead of rapture are: caught up, gather, raised, gave up.

When the Son of Man appear in the sky, coming on the clouds of the sky, at the sound of the trumpet call. Everyone will appear before the judgment seat of God. then the very elect/ saved believers will enter into glory forever.

  18. Q5. (1 Corinthians 15:58) What does being steadfast and immovable have to do with the hope of the resurrection? Why is our labor not in vain in the Lord?

Being steadfast means unwavering, to stand firm; immovable means unchanging ---- no matter what happen I stand strong, stay firm in my faith and my believeth, I have that staying power, because I have the victory in Jesus Christ.
