  1. Q1. (Psalm 27) What does it mean that David desires to "dwell in the house of the Lord"? What does it mean to "seek his face"? How does David provide hope at the end of this Psalm?

I think it means exactly what it says...David wants to live with God in his house FOREVER! When he says he wants to see his face means he wants to be in his prescence. He provides hope ny letting us know that we are all loved by God and through his Sons salvation we can spend time with him.

  2. What does this psalm teach about God? What does it teach about human beings? What does it teach us about Christ? What does it teach about our responsibilities?

It Teaches us that God is so much bigger then we will ever be but so full of love for us that we can not even begin to fully comprehend it. It teaches us that God gave us little insignificant humans power over the creatures of the earth because God loves us and That he loves us so much he brought his down to us to die so that we may truly live.

  3. The importance of faith is to keep us strong. Christ will keep us strong and fulfilled as long as we gold on to him and our faith in him.Sin tricks us by looking pleasurable, it looks fun. Sin hardens us by being so much fun that it slowly weighs our hearts down and hides us from Christs loving glory, a spiritual death. nBy surrounding ourselves with believers we are able to constantly give each other a helping hand, prayer, guidance and fellowship which will help keep our faith strong.

  4. Jesus had to becoma human like us in order to expierience everything we do so that way he can understand how feel and the way we act, so that when he counsels us he is able to provide empathy with love and understanding. When people say I understand we tend to think to ourselves no you dont how can you ? you havent been through what I have been through. Because Jesus was made human he was able to relate to us and say I understand and we are able to say yes you do because you went through it to and to me that is very comforting.

  5. i think the purpose was to destroy our fear of death and forgivness. Im not sure i understand this right but it sounds like that as long as we fear judgement we are holding on to our sins wich means we can not be forgiven, so if we do not forgive our self then we have doubted God.When jesus died on the cross he defeated death an our sins were forgiven so when we ask for forgivness we should have no fear because we should believe that Jesus death defeated the fear. When jesus returns he will cast fear and death (the enemy) into a lake of fire. The result of our lives is that we should live without fear of death if we have accepted Christ and asked for slavation through his blood.

  6. It means to gather alot of people to salvation, he was a sheperd jesus preached the word of God to many people and gathered them together to bring about Gods word to others.jesus became perfect through suffering by having to go through the suffering all humans do but the difference is jesus was able to overcome all suffering, we are to follow that path, jesus suffered through his life to teach us that it was only temporary and better things would come so grin, pray, and bear it with Gods strength and nothing was to large to overcome. When jesus died on the cross he perfected that suffering by defeating death and saving our souls, And although while we are on this earth we may never be as perfect as Jesus we are to live our lives through his teaching and strive to become perfect.

  7. He did this by taking his cross up on the hill and allowing us to put him to death. he made the ultimate sacrifice. The jews would make sacrifices of animals on the alter for the forgiveness of their sins. God did the same thing according to his law but instead of an animal GOD sacrificed HIS only son and he did it through his loving grace not because we asked or even wanted he did it because he loves us. if he did it for my worst sins then I am allowed salvation just the same as anyone else.

  8. Jesus suffered with the emotional and physical pain of saving each and every one of us from our sins..He went through more then we could ever imagine. We are likely to suffer but giving up things we love in our sinful ways to serve the Lord in the ways that are right.Jesus walked many miles(probably with blisters oon his feet) he spoke in large groups with people persecuting him and laughing at him trying to humiliate him, all for us. Jesus spent many days and hours in fasing and prayer for us. We will all be asked to do the same. One day we will have to find ways to minister with the threat of death and persecution but we must give our life to save people.if we do not suffer then we are not giving up our sinful ways and we are not giving our life to Christ.

  9. My thought process changed simply in , I question EVERYTHING I do now. Every word , thought, or even step I ask myself is this what God wants me to do. I believe it would help and hinder in the world today. It would help because the people of today need these miracles and by seeing them could turn them to a life of christ when so many belive so strongly in science. I also belive it would hinder because the world today is no more less harsh then when jesus walked the earth and History would repest itself, many would come to believe but many would have to do it in fear. But I would love to see the miracles, and whether we see it or not there are still to this day many miracles that happen all around us we just dont see them or sometimes choose not to.I have formed my opinion of the value of it from the book of revelation.

  10. We are not immune because we are sinners. We as people tend to let the works of the world interfere with our life in God. The business of everyday life, work, school, families ,we tend to get caught up in tthese things. We can resist the temptation to drift by spending time in Gods word Everyday. Early. It is said that breakfast is the most important meal of the day. I have found that when I rise early and make my breakfast Gods word then I am able to look at every aspect of my day through Gods word. I am a new christian and a smoker and everytime i light up I feel guilty I know God is working on me on its hard but I spend time in his word because I know I can not give this up on my own. When Jesus describes the parable he is describing our everyday life. We can not grow in Gods word and Keep it if we have no root system. The Gospel was introduced to me many times but never had any depth until I met my inlaws. The parable is telling us that in order to grow in Christ we need to saty in the word. Go to church, read your Bible and most importantly PRAY. Which I need to be better at.

  11. I am a new christian so some of these questions are hard for me and if my answers are off please email me and i would love the help. The authors description makes me think Jesus is divine because Jesus is described as an exact replica of God. Gods word became flesh. I believe God took his holy word (like an author may do a character) and put in some human dna without flaws took some of His glory made a man without sin and sent him to us.Jesus is Gods word. I also believe that his role is to keep us in line and love us. To pull us all out of our sinful ways and to Gods glory

  12. I do not think it was a metaphor, and i think its more spiritual then biological. God created his son and then sent him to the earth with humans to show his love for us, Jesus was Gods ONLY son. Most parents with only one child seem to give them all of the rewards of that relationship. God appointed Jesus as his right hand man, like a birth right. Jesus was a Man for while he was on the earth, but I believe he had a little different dna so to say. Jesus was in my belief a part of God.

  13. Q5. Why should Christians look forward to the events surrounding our resurrection? Why do you think Christians have largely lost this as their active expectation and hope? What should be done to reclaim these truths?

out of all the questions I have answered as a new christian this si the easiest why should we look forward to it? Simply because we will be able to leave this sinful world and be where true love lives. we have lost it because we are of sin and this sin is inpatience, the world around us surrounds us with proof or facts instead of faith. We can reclaim these truths by doing the works our Lord Jesus Christ taught us to do. never giving up faith and surrounding ourselves with Gods word and Love.

  14. Q4. What will our resurrection bodies be like? Why do you think we will be given resurrection bodies? What is the point?

I think our bodies will not be unlike the ones we have now, the difference being we will be filled with the power of the Lord and the sins of the flesh will be gone.We will all be beautiful but different and we will all love each other as brothers and sisters in Christ. we will be filled with glory shining in the light that is God. our earthly bodies as of now are given in to sin we are not worthy of any kind of holiness.we have to be transformed in one word into a new glorius body in able to be worthy of being in the prescence of Gods holy light.

  15. Q1. What is the word used in the Bible instead of "rapture"? When will the resurrection take place in relation to Christ's return? In relation to judgment? In relation to glory? (This is NOT the place to debate various theories of the rapture and the millennium.)

The word i see used for rapture is raised up.The dead will be raised first and then who is left will be gathered up in the clouds to meet with Him. We willnot know the day or the hour.

  16. Q5. (1 Corinthians 15:58) What does being steadfast and immovable have to do with the hope of the resurrection? Why is our labor not in vain in the Lord?

It means dont give up and dont give in. Keep up the work you do in the Lord keep bringing people to christ. Dont be discouraged, keep your faith dont let people who do not believe sway yours.God see all that we do and sees when our faith is strong and when we need more of it. God sees the work we do for him and in him and every little bit counts to God

  17. Q4. What assurance do you have that you will be physically resurrected rather than experience disembodied immortality? What does it mean that Jesus is the "firstfruits" (1 Corinthians 15:20) and "firstborn" (Revelation 1:5) from the dead?

My assurnace is the promise God had made by resurecting His Son Jesus. Because Jesus was the first to be raised from the dead from Gods promise He has made a way for us. Without Him we wpould no be able to raise again in the fleash and meet in heaven.

  18. Q3. How does Christ's death and resurrection provide an analogy for baptism according to Romans 6:3-5 and Colossians 2:12? According to Ephesians 2:4-6, while being "raised with Christ" is still spiritual, not physical, in what way does this union impart real spiritual power?

I was just recently baptized. By being laid in the water fully you are like being laid in a grave you are dead your sins are dead with it. By being raised out of the water you are like Christ being raised from the dead, Reborn a new child in Christ.

  19. Q2. In what way does Christ's resurrection somehow validate that we are saved and forgiven by God? If we didn't believe Christ had been actually raised from the dead, how might we have doubts about our salvation?

This was hard for me because I can't not believe Christ was resurected. I would not have said that a few years ago but back then I did not belive in anything. So I guess there is your answer. Without believing in the resurection what hope is there? By bringing Jesus back to life God sealed and signed a contract so to speak, a covenant a promise. The veil was torn so that we may ALL be in a closer forgiving relationship with God.

  20. Q1. What kind of credibility would Jesus' ministry have had if he were not raised from the dead, especially when he predicted it ahead of time? In what way is the resurrection God's seal of approval on him?

None.. Its simple if you were to tell someone something was going to happen and that the source it came from said it would as well and then it didnt happen you would no longer belive a word that person told you or the source it came from. If jesus was not resurected his teachings and everything he stood for would be a lie and in saying that the word of God would be a lie and our lives meaningless. I thank God everyday that it was not a lie, that He has risen ,that seal was put on his head as proof of Gods word.
