Jesus is sitting at God’s right hand.  He will ultimately have all who oppose him under his feet.  The primary role of priest is to help us find God.  Jesus’ sacrifice is the ultimate path to God.  He has coveted our sins and reconciles us to God.

Q10. (Psalm 110) According to verse 1, what is Jesus doing at present? Currently, Jesus is sitting at the right hand of God until his enemies are made a footstool for his feet.

What will he ultimately succeed in doing? Conquer and rule over all the nations.

What is the primary role of a priest?  A priest was the one who brought atonement for your sins through the sacrifice of an animal.

How does Jesus function as a priest who brings us to God?  Jesus was the high priest and the sacrifice for our sins. In doing so, he reconnects us to God.  (verse 4).

Q1. Jesus is sitting at the right hand of God waiting until it is time to come to defeat His enemies and reign with us .

Q2. Jesus will succeed in defeating His enemies and bringing those that belong to Him to be in His presence for all eternity.

Q3.The primary role of a priest is to present God to us, to pastor us and to teach those in his flock.

Q4.Jesus gave the ultimate sacrifice for us by dying on the cross for us. This enabled us to have our sins forgiven because Jesus had paid the price. Because of this we can come to God spotless and pure and follow Him. Eventually if we are faithful to the end we can look forward to spending eternity in His presence.

According to verse 1, what is Jesus doing at present? What will he ultimately succeed in doing?

At the moment, Jesus is telling us to wait until he crushes our enemies. He, Himself, is also waiting for God's command to "extend (His) mighty sceptor."

Waiting: He's between acts, between the triumphant resurrection and the triumphant second coming.

He's waiting to rule ... in the midst of enemies. In time, ultimately, he will crush our enemies on the "day of His wrath." He will heap their dead bodies as in a pile after judging them. Then, as he takes a cool drink from a brook, he will lift his head in satisfaction, approving what He had done.

What is the primary role of a priest? How does Jesus function as a priest who brings us to God? (

The priest is an intermediary between God and humans. He offers sacrifices to appease the anger and satisfy the righteousness of God.

Jesus is both the priest and the sacrifice. As well, He is God to whom the sacrifices are offered. He is the sacrifice, the one who sacrifices and the one to whom the sacrifice is intended. I don't understand this.

Somehow, in this convoluted identity, Jesus act brings us to God.

Q10. (Psalm 110) According to verse 1, what is Jesus doing at present? What will He ultimately succeed in doing? What is the primary role of a priest? How does Jesus function as a priest who brings us to God? (verse 4).
Presently Jesus is sitting at the right-hand side of God the Father. This is the highest position of honour and rank. He is the King of kings and He reigns over the whole universe, and rules with full authority in the midst of all His enemies. Ultimately He will succeed in placing all unbelievers and those against the gospel under His footstool, as the Father provides the victory to the Son. He first came as a Lamb to be a sacrifice for sin, now He comes to bring judgment. The primary role of a priest is to stand between Holy God and sinful man, and to represent sinful man before Holy God. He is a mediator; he stands in the gap and acts as a peacemaker between us and God the Father. Our Lord Jesus Christ, who knew no sin, acts as our High Priest, He makes intercession on our part, He continues to pray for us, and petitions the Father on our behalf.

According to verse one: WhT is Jesus doing in the present?  He is taking His enthroned place until the Father provides the Victory for Him.

What will ultimately succeed in doing? He will both redeem us from our sins in His triumph and reign over all nations.
The primary role of a priest is to be the mediator between Man and God and to bring atonement for our sins.
How does Jesus function as a priest who brings me to God.?
For there is one God,  one mediator, between God and man, the man Christ Jesus who gave himself a ransom for me and all men.

1. a. Jesus is sitting at the right hand of God.

   b. Make His enemies His footstool.

   c. Bring us to God, Mediator -  For, There is one God and one Mediator who can reconcile God and humanity—the man Christ Jesus. ( 1 Timothy 2:5)

   d. He gave Himself for us.  He is God/man.  He came as a man, holy,  that he could pay for our sins, the only one who could. Because He was God without sin or blemish and represented us. When we accept Him, He takes away our Adam sinful DNA and gives us heavenly DNA  (2 Cor. 5:17) Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.

Once Jesus dies, he sits on the right hand side of God.

He will make the enemies his footstool.

The role as priest is to be the mediator between man and God.

Jesus defeated the devil's power by dying on the cross to deliver us from sin. He gave us the chance to repent and become born again to endure a new life. We must go through Jesus to get to God.

By His sacrificial death on the cross, Jesus had our sins nailed on the cross and bridged the gap that was between us and God. We have free access to God now but he still intercedes for us when Satan accuses us before God.

At present Jesus is seated at the right hand of God interceding for us.

He will ultimately succeed in defeating His enemies as well as ours.

The primary role of the Priest is to administer and minister in the Temple according to the principles of holiness.  The priests were responsible for anything inside the Holy Place or the Holy of Holies.  They dealt with the brunt offering altar, had oversight over the various offerings and sacrifices, kept the lamp burning on the brunt offering altar, replaced the twelves cakes of the "bread of presence" on the table in the tent of meeting, handle the offerings brought by the people, and maintained the sanctity and purity of the sanctuary.

As the Priest who brings us to god Jesus acts as our mediator to atone for our sins.  He bore our sins and carried our iniquities and He sit at the right hand of God interceding for us.
