Q3. Drinking vs. Drunkenness
John6:68-69 replied to Pastor Ralph's topic in 4. Changing the Water into Wine (John 2:1-12)
They may feel that this supports that there is nothing wrong with drinking in excess. drunkenness minimally/what you need not just because you want it. -
Q2. Mary's Nudge
John6:68-69 replied to Pastor Ralph's topic in 4. Changing the Water into Wine (John 2:1-12)
Because this would be a life long shame as well as financial hardship for this young couple. She also knew that Jesus was capable & would help. Yes, she showed submission & faith, in the fact that Jesus would help by choosing when to & what to do. She did not "nag" him. Avery mild/slight rebuke. Jesus is compassionate. I also think that he knew that the truth of his miracle getting out to the masses was very small. I think he knew that this miracle would be kept to the few servants, Mary, Jesus and his disciples. -
Q1. Time for Friends
John6:68-69 replied to Pastor Ralph's topic in 4. Changing the Water into Wine (John 2:1-12)
We're not really "too busy". We just either have something else that we choose to do or we just don't want to take the time out of our day to spend with family or friends. Jesus interacted socially with other, he was sincere & faithful to his family & friends, it was important to him that they knew this. We should take the time to show our family & friends that we care, even if it is a 5 minute phone call, a cup of coffee, lunch etc.. -
Q5. Son of Man
John6:68-69 replied to Pastor Ralph's topic in 3. Disciples Direct Friends to Jesus (John 1:35-51)

Q4. Skepticism and Faith
John6:68-69 replied to Pastor Ralph's topic in 3. Disciples Direct Friends to Jesus (John 1:35-51)
First Jesus gives him a compliment/as well as a presumed knowledge of the kind of person he is; "here is a true Israelite, in whom there is nothing false" 2nd Jesus states that he saw him "under the fig tree" which Jesus was not physically present to have human knowledge of. Jesus states that he saw him "under the fig tree" which Jesus was not physically present to have human knowledge of. You are the "Son of God", you are the "King of Israel" -
Andrew is actually the initiator because, he brought Simon Peter to meet Jesus. By bringing them to the church, they are bringing them to Jesus's house, where he is present Similarity: they are introduced to God & his word; Difference: with the whole congregation together worshiping the presence of God hopefully will be so powerful that they will be able to feel the Holy Spirit reach out to them.

Q2. Being with Jesus
John6:68-69 replied to Pastor Ralph's topic in 3. Disciples Direct Friends to Jesus (John 1:35-51)
So that they can spend time together, To learn Jesus teachings Spending time in prayer & reading the Bible -
Q1. Recommending Jesus
John6:68-69 replied to Pastor Ralph's topic in 3. Disciples Direct Friends to Jesus (John 1:35-51)
John the Baptist recommended for them to follow Jesus. It cost John some of his disciples. -
John takes no credit for himself, he states there is one coming after him who is far greater than him, that he was unworthy to untie Jesus sandals. John knew that the "bigger picture" wasn't about him. He knew that he was just one piece in the big puzzle. You can be confident in your words & beliefs and still have the understanding/true self feeling that you are a tool for God's use and be over joyed by it.

Q5. Only Begotten God
John6:68-69 replied to Pastor Ralph's topic in 1. The Word Became Flesh (John 1:1-18)
That Jesus is fully God, They are one, When He became flesh He is the Only Begotten God. John does make a distinction by stating "Who is at the Father's side" but then he also says "but God the One and Only" Jesus revealed God to us, He is God in the flesh. The Trinity is one yet three. The Trinity is God. In three forms{per say} God The Father, God The Son, God The Holy Spirit. -
Q4. Becoming Flesh
John6:68-69 replied to Pastor Ralph's topic in 1. The Word Became Flesh (John 1:1-18)
Without God becoming flesh then Jesus would just be a spiritual leader providing us with an example to live our lives by & to love & help others. His death would not be able to cleanse our sins and provide salvation. It would mean that he wasn't the Son of God. Thank God this is not the case. -
Q3. Receiving and Believing Children
John6:68-69 replied to Pastor Ralph's topic in 1. The Word Became Flesh (John 1:1-18)
Jesus becomes your life, you recognize His authority and position as The Son of God. You trust Him, totally commit to Him, that He is truth. We are the children of God we have been re-born spiritually, we have the right to say we are the children of God. They are not spiritual children of God, only in the sense of creation -
Q2. Testifying to the Light
John6:68-69 replied to Pastor Ralph's topic in 1. The Word Became Flesh (John 1:1-18)
John was sent to prepare the way for Jesus & to confirm that Jesus is the Son of God. We are to spread the word of God & to tell our story, displaying the life of Christ in our action, thoughts & deeds so that others will come to God, John was beheaded, Satan will try to sidetrack & discredit us because he does not want people coming to God. The people we witness to may come to God and be saved. -
Yes Jesus is God. Stating that Jesus is the word, I think is another way of telling us that Jesus is God. What this says about him & his ministry, WOW, Jesus is God in human flesh. his ministry gives us an example to live by. His ministry is visual proof that God exist, the extent of his love, faithfulness. I truly do not even have the vocabulary necessary to even explain the extent of the gift that was given to us through his ministry.
