Q3. (1 Timothy 4:7-8) How would you define "godliness"? What produces godliness in a person? How is godliness different from embracing a strict morality?
i say godliness is having an abundance of God in your life and acting accordingly. Godliness is produced by knowing the word of God and following his commands. morality is restrictive self-imposed and boring. it is what man looks upon compared to what God sees you as.

Q1. (1 Timothy 3:2-12) What kind of leader do you believe Paul is indicating for us with the phrase "husband of one wife"? Why is a leader's family an important indicator of leadership potential or problems?
by husband of one wife, i think it is taken literally regardless of the time period. One wife is enough to handle more than one can drive a man insane and pull his attention and loyalties away from God. All great leaders lead by example so i think you have to have control over your children in order to lead a whole flock in the right direction.

False doctrine creates a disruption of peace and unity in the church. False doctrine will make you ? the pastor's spirituality and leadership abilities, if you are so busy fighting amongst yourselves you are less likely to move on and you can not grow if you don't let go of bitterness and hatred. a church cannot get a following if it cannot agree on the message to deliver....

in 4. Setting a Godly Example (1 Timothy 4)
Posted
rigid unsmiling orthodoxy doesn't produce godliness because those are words not examples or right living. you have to be an example because lips lie and actions don't.
