  1. They don't like it at all.  And they will usually let you know it.

God's love draws us to Himself.  When we choose not to be drawn--we are judged already.

The wages of sin is death.  When we don't accept Christ's gift of salvation we are opting for judgment and eternal separation from God.

It takes on as just love--kind of a jello, marshmallowy sticky icky kind of love with no value.  This also happens when we leave out the fact we are sinners.

  2. Sometimes.  Especially when I fail to resist temptation so often.

That I am redeemed by the precious blood of Christ.

A deep & true love--bringing value to my life.

You should be able to tell a lot about a person by looking at his/her checkbook--or bank statement.

I need to be out witnessing more & invest time in my relationships.

  3. To be holy is to be set apart from the unholy--dedicated to Jesus Christ.

I have been saved and my life is not my own.  Jesus' blood covers me.

Holiness comes as we obey what God set down for us through Jesus.

My struggle is with business--choosing hobbies that take away time to serve Him!

  4. The basis is our faith & love for Him & our salvation.

Human emotions cannot cause it--it can only be reflected in our faces.

No, not emotional--however it can cause emotion.

We are not pursuing happiness--we are pursuing a deeper relationship with our Saviour.

You can see true joy when a person is joyful even in bad or trying circumstances.

  5. Jesus' example of associating with sinners was to love them, care for them and draw them to Himself.

His real "buddies" were the disciples--ones who already related to Jesus and had decided to follow Him.

Part of what we want to do is to have relationships with unbelievers to share with them about Jesus and so they can see a difference in our lives.  Those we spend the most time with would be fellow Christians.

Having no friendship with non-Christians takes away our chance to share with them and draw them to Jesus.  They still need to hear the gospel and we've be commanded to share the gospel!!

  6. 1st commandment--love the Lord with all your heart, soul and strength.  Competing gods causes us to not obey that commandment.

They became divided--not serving God only. They began to compromise.

Our gods can be anything that keeps us from loving the Lord wholeheartedly--anything that keeps us from serving & worshipping God.

We need to seriously ask ourselves what is it that keeps us from time with God?  Perhaps keeping us from the Bible????

Where & what are our priorities....

  7. Free from any sin-set apart to God alone.

God made us holy by sending His Son Jesus to pay the price for our sins.

Our lifestyles should reflect Jesus.  We are in the process of sanctification and will continue until we die.  Almost the whole of the New Testament shows us how to grow in sanctification--our character changing to be more like that of Jesus.

  8. We live in a "do it yourself" society.  It is looked on as being weak if we don't.

Some may be tempted to leave it all to God to do--but that is laziness & sin--He has commanded us to obey His requests of us.

We know God has the power to accomplish whatever He puts His hand to--He wants us to do it and He will supply the power.  But, He gets all the glory!!

I desire to give God the glory--I still need to grow in obeying totally.

My church desires to GO and responses vary as people vary.  Hopefully, we are all growing to give the glory to God!

  9. Misusing His name as a cuss word or as an expression like "OMG--oh my God"  Why don't we use Buddha instead?  Why is only His name that way?

By hearing others use it in everyday dealings.

If someone comes to me & says "I swear it is true" I would tend not to believe him.  It means we can't trust their yes or their no.

We need to think before we make a promise---about anything.

If I am God's child, what I do reflects on Him and could turn others away from following Him.
