  1. Q2. (1 Corinthians 4:3-5) Why doesn’t Paul care how others judge him? Why doesn’t Paul judge himself? Why are our motives so important in God’s judgment process? Do you see God as a harsh judge? An easy judge? Why?

Paul cares about how the people perceive him up to the point of being like Jesus and displaying the love of Christ. Paul is following, believing, trusting, and obeying the Jesus he met on the road to damasks. I don't see God as a bad or harsh God nor an easy one-just someone who knows us through and through and wants to give us "His" World.

  2. Q1. (1 Corinthians 4:1-2) In what sense is a Christian worker a “steward”? Have you ever met a Christian worker who wasn’t faithful? What effect did this have on the church? On this person’s witness. What are the reasons we are sometimes unfaithful in our area of ministry? What can we do to remedy that?

A steward is a faithful worker who is a steward in more ways than money. He/she influences the Church in many ways. Their witness affects the church in many ways showing the peace and love of Christ or the chaos of the world.

  3. Q4. (1 Corinthians 3:17) Division and church splits injure people, especially tender new believers. Why do you think there is such a harsh punishment for those involved in hurting Christ’s church? What are better ways to deal with differences in the church?

Divisions, splits cause pain in all denominations. I feel we are not punished harshly for this behavior thus we portray allot of the World in our Churches.

  4. Q3. (1 Corinthians 3:9-13) In terms of building congregations in our day, how would you assess quality vs. slip-shod building materials and methods? How important is improving your ministry skills through training? Prayer? Practice? Diligence? Faithfulness? Doctrinal accuracy? Devotional life? Openness to spiritual gifts? Etc.

We are not in charge of building our church that is God's job. I feel we are the parts and our job is to grow in which we are given and spread the love of God.

  5. Q2. (1 Corinthians 3:4-9) In what ways do denominations encourage Christian unity? In what ways do they foster disunity? Does belonging a “non-denominational” church make any difference regarding unity throughout the body? How can we tear down the barriers that divide us?

I feel denominations separate us. Many people struggle to become a part of the Christian faith and yet we don't unify we argue who wrote the Bible, what does it mean.....etc. Instead of becoming 1 as Christ presented us with the answer--Christianity instead of mini groups who think they associate with the elite. Where is the love?

  6. Q1. (1 Corinthians 3:1-3) In behavioral terms according to these verses, how would you classify yourself in terms of hunger for the Word? In terms of jealousy and quarreling? – infant, child, teenager, adult? What will it take for you to grow to the next stage?

I behavioral terms I have ups and downs. I try to do my very best which I will never be perfect until I reach Heaven. I have a hunger for the Word I try to hold back  when it comes to others and quarreling. I hold back until I can think about the truth-theirs or mine-and have a long talk with Jesus. Today I am learning (recently had surgery)to not jump back at someone just because I get upset. I know also I have a whinny voice not meaning to I convey a certain amt of neediness that some hear (not intended) so I realize my actions and decided to sit back and allow God to take care of all the worldly junk going on. When he decides I move to the next level.

  7. Q5. (1 Corinthians 2:9-16). Explain how we can “have the mind of Christ.” How does this work, according to these verses? How does having the Holy Spirit “circulating” through our minds explain spiritual gifts working through us?

The mind of Christ is given to us when we accept Christ. We are therefore in management of the development by reading the word, studying the word, memorizing the word while the Holy Spirit gives us a deeper discernment.

  8. Authenticity of the Bible is so very the reasons we are in "Sodom" right now. Our watering down the Word and losing of control of ourselves saying we won't get caught we can do what feels good. Feeling good is straight from the pit. Why people can't see we made this world into a pit of hell raisers who are trying to convince all people to do what feels good. I choose not but sometimes feel as if I am alone.

  9. We are commanded to love one another no matter what divisions comes in the church. No that isn't quite what happens and some denominations fight to see whose the best. I feel if we worship God through Jesus Christ there should be no divisions. God stated it clearly in His Word, but we humans choose to create our own interpretations and believe we know better. I am disgusted by these peoples ways but I don't fight with for that would create more division. I wish for all fighting to stop in Jesus Name.

  10. God gives us the very air we breathe and all the blessings we need. He gives us discernment inside to know when we do wrong and when we do something that pleases him. When pleasing him I receive the greatest high of praise as if he was saying Well done my child. He gives us this joy and his presence in our daily lives which keeps me persevering toward our goal to be with him. I believe we need to ask for forgiveness everyday to continue in his will.

  11. Q4. (2 Thessalonians 3:9-16) Why do so many churches avoid exercising any church discipline? What is the result of a thoughtful and appropriate application of church discipline? What is the result of neglect of church discipline?

They refused to discipline and approach the ones who can-fear and members may riot or leave. The member would learn to work Some among you are idle and disruptive. They are not busy; they are busybodies.Such people we command and urge in the Lord Jesus Christ to settle down and earn the food they eat. And as for you, brothers and sisters, never tire of doing what is good.

Take special note of anyone who does not obey our instruction in this letter. Do not associate with them, in order that they may feel ashamed. Yet do not regard them as an enemy, but warn them as you would a fellow believer.

  12. Q3. (2 Thessalonians 3:10) If we were to follow Paul’s rule, “If a man will not work, he shall not eat,” wouldn’t that allow people to starve? It sounds harsh. What are the positive results of this rule? To whom in a Christian community would this rule apply. To whom would it not apply?

The one who is unwilling to work shall not eat.-the ones healthy enough to work. The elderly, disabled, and the ones who are challenged.

  13. Q4. (2 Thessalonians 3:1-5) Why is perseverance so important as we see wickedness increasing? What happens if we stop believing and being patient? How can we help one another persevere? What part does faith and perseverance have in our salvation? What part does God’s redemption and grace have in our salvation?

Perseverence is most important because there are many wickedness increasing and if we stop we no longer are a Christ follower we are decieved. All Christians should encourage each other. Faith and trust is like a 2 sided coin+redemption and grace=salvation.

  14. Q3. (2 Thessalonians 2:9-12) What makes people so gullible that they believe the Antichrist’s deceptions? What is the reason that God gives them over to this deception? Why is a fearless seeking of God’s truth so important to us? How can a preaching of the truth set people free?

He will use all sorts of displays of power through signs and wonders that serve the lie, and all the ways that wickedness deceives those who are perishing. They perish because they refused to love the truth and so be saved. For this reason God sends them a powerful delusion so that they will believe the lie and so that all will be condemned who have not believed the truth but have delighted in wickedness.

  15. Q2. (2 Thessalonians 2:3-5; Revelation 13:5-8) What are the characteristics of the Antichrist that Paul gives in this passage? What does Revelation 13:5-8 add to our basic understanding?

He will oppose and will exalt himself over everything that is called God or is worshiped, so that he sets himself up in God’s temple, proclaiming himself to be God.given a mouth to utter proud words and blasphemies and to exercise its authority for forty-two months. It opened its mouth to blaspheme God, and to slander his name and his dwelling place and those who live in heaven. It was given power to wage war against God’s holy people and to conquer them. And it was given authority over every tribe, people, language and nation. All inhabitants of the earth will worship the beast—all whose names have not been written in the Lamb’s book of life, the Lamb who was slain from the creation of the world .
