By making a covenants
By telling, (letting us know) that HE will be there for us

-
Q4. (Genesis 28:22) What does Jacob
-
Q3. (Genesis 28:18-21) What did it mean to Jacob to set up the stone? What did anointing the stone mean to him? Why does he do these things? What does he promise God in his vow?
Setting the stone upright was to Honor God
Annoint the stone was to devote himself to God
Jacob promises that God will be his only God

Q2. (Genesis 28:12-15) What did Jacob
-
Q1. (Genesis 28:3-4) Why does Isaac bless Jacob, especially after Jacob
-
Q6. Extra Credit. Whose character flaws most remind you of your own? Isaac's, Rebekah's, Esau's, or Jacob's? Why? How is God working to improve your character?
Isaac, for I think he really knew what was happening, but he did not stop it. Like me I have backslid for a few years now
and knew what was happening but did not stop it. I almost was to the point of thinking God would not have me back, and
the only way I knew to come back was to come back through this Bible Study.
-
Q5. (Genesis 25:28) What happens when your children sense that you love one child more than another? Did such discrimination happen to you when you were growing up? If so, how are you finding healing? How can we as parents love our children equally but differently?
Jealously happens between the children
-
Q4. (Genesis 27:33) Why couldn't Isaac reverse his blessing once he discovers Jacob's trickery? What is Isaac's role in this blessing? What is God's role in it?
It was already done Isaac only had the one blessing, God all knowing knew and planned what had happened
-
Q3. (Genesis 27:6-29) God had told Rebekah that Jacob is supposed to rule over Esau (Genesis 25:23). To what extent does this excuse her plan to deceive her husband Isaac? How much responsibility does Jacob bear in the deception?
Well, I do not think Rebekah should have deceived Isaac and that Jacob beared just as much of the responsibility as Rebekah
-
Q1. Why does the New Testament condemn Esau for selling his birthright? (Hebrews 12:16-17) What did selling the birthright represent? What does this transaction say about Esau's character and values? What does it reveal bout Jacob's character and values?
For selling his birthright was disrespectful, godless, it showed that Esau was selfish thinking only of himself and rejected his birthright
Jacob is no better then Esau he took advantage of Esau
-
Q2. Was Rebekah a spiritual woman, that is, interested in spiritual things? Was Isaac a spiritual man? Which do you think was the more spiritually sensitive? What evidence of spirituality do you see in Jacob? In Esau?
Yes Rebekah and Isaac were spiritual. I do not see evidence of spirituality in Jacob or Esau at this time.

Disputes
Forgive and repent and you will be forgiven. You can not worship the Lord with a unforgiving heart. God is Love. God will not hear your prayer.
-
Paul emphasized this because the church was not teaching about Christ Jesus, Christ fulfills the two roles by giving his life for all men
making us holy in Gods presence, in Jesus name we Pray.
-
So Timothy would be sure and teach this at the church at Ephesus for some were not being taught that they could pray to the Lord themselves, and gentiles were not taught the message.
-
So he would not forget to follow them. Fight the good fight is to follow the Lords ways in all you do to not deviate no matter what.
Timothy might be tempted with ways of the false doctrine at the Church at Ephesus. Paul reminds Timothy to hold on to his faith in God and keep a good conscience to not wander away from the truth
-
Our Eternal Father who reigns forever, incapable of being seen, the one and only. We deeply respect and exalt forever
praise is offering our thanks and honor to God to glorify him
-
To let them know that he was once a sinner and separated from God, but through Gods grace mercy was given to him.
This teaching of the truth might bring the church back together.
-
Results of false teaching in the church at Ephesus caused controversies by overdoing the law, by offering their own opinions and not revealing God message they did not Stress the importance of Christ death and resurrection.
They devoted to much of their time to finding out where they came from and following man made laws.
This controversies hurt the church by distorting the truth, leading the church down the wrong path in turn destroying the unity of the church
-
There is no sin to great for Gods forgiveness.
We need to worship the Lord in Truth, we do not need to be afraid for God is Love and will forgive if we repent, we should not hold back.
Luke 23:46
God is a Spirit and they that worship Him must worship Him in Spirit and in Truth
-
This points out the authority of the Scriptures. This chapter explains clearly that Jesus died to intercede for us sinners.
-
For it would be easily understood why His blood must be shed just as the blood was shed of the Passover lamb to protect, His blood must be shed
I think the disciples had a clear understanding for this had been going on for years but it would have been hard to understand the full impact untill after the resurrection
-
Instead of condemming us, God offered us a way out by allowing us to sacrifice an animal for forgiveness of our sin. It is Gods will to forgive not to punish, not because of our righteousness but because of His mercy
-
Jesus bore the sins of the world, Jesus experienced a break in the relationship with God, in which was perfect before. Jesus done this for me, in order to empower, lead, and intercede for me. This gives me all the hope/encouragement I need to have faith/believe in Jesus the son of God. even though I will fall and feel I am not worthy, Jesus laying down His life for me takes that doubt away. I'm inspired to live for Christ
Q3. God is Angry with Moses
in 1. The Birth and Call of Moses (Exodus 1-4)
Posted
Moses response to Gods Call reflects a True Humility

Oh Yes God has been angry with me for I have let him down before.
Moses appeases God by doing what it takes.
