Mpolo Posted September 18, 2016 Report Share Posted September 18, 2016 For as much as I love the promises in this book - and we all do and quote, at what extent can we claim these promises from GOD to Joshua to us? I have faith to believe the promise - but how can any of us be totally sure that GOD is promising me or you that everywhere you set your foot will be yours? Where in the book God indicates these promises are for all God's people (you and me?). And where in this chapter we can see the passages prophesying about Jesus? Jn 5:39 - "study the Scriptures diligently because you think that in them you have eternal life. These are the very Scriptures that testify about me" I see unmistakably the promise God makes to Joshua and to the people, and that Jesus makes to us that "HE will never leave us, nor forsake us".
