  1. If God doesn't love us, in an agape sense what hope would there be? Why would God have sacrificed his only Son for us?
  2. What does it mean that David desires to "dwell in the house of the Lord"? To be with God. To do thing which are pleasing in God's eyes. What does it mean to "seek his face"? To be able to approach Him. For God to allow this approach How does David provide hope at the end of this Psalm There is the hope that, in time, the Lord will make himself known to David
  3. In this psalm we learn about the extent of GOD's knowledge of us, not only our thoughts, but also our bodies. GOD is and always has been completely aware of the smallest detail of our lives. It is an uncomfortable feeling. In the end we ask GOD with his intimate knowledge of us to find in us sins of which we are not aware, that we may be more perfect in his sight.
  4. Verses 1-6 speak of God's glory as revealed to all the world, in verses 7 to 13 the emphasis shifts to our knowledge of God as revealed in His law. Verses 11-13 shift to the psalmist, how the words affect him. The "great reward" of verse 11, but also the concern which builds in the next 2 verses that we need to to more, that we do not understand the law as well as we need to. We come at the end through the prayer in verse 14 to realize that it is only through GOD that we can hope to understand the law.
  5. Q1. (Psalm 8). What does this psalm teach about God? What does it teach about human beings? What does it teach us about Christ? What does it teach about our responsibilities? We can never hope to understand the full glory of GOD Never the less we must continue working to that end. Although God does not expect full understanding, He expects and requires that we will try. To that end He graciously provided us with His Son, Jesus.
  6. My name is David. I've been praying the Daily Office for almost a year and have found myself getting more and more interested in the study of the Psalms. I looking forward to increasing my depth of knowledge. Your Brother in Christ David
