Sorry I cannont give an evaluation at this time as owing to unforeseen circumstances(illness) I have had to put my studies in a folder till a bit later. I know they will be excellent as always.

God's answer to Gideon and to us is "I will be with you" God is faithful, He will never leave us nor forsake us. With Him we can do all things. "It's not by might, it's not by power but by My Spirit " says the Lord. When God sends, God empowers. Father, Help me to be the person you have created me to be, help me to recognise Your ways, and Your will is what is best also for me and will bring glory to You.

God sees Gideon as a mighty warrior, Gideon sees himself as weak. God sees what we really are or can be, He sees the heart. Self-perception can be a form of pride and self-centredness, rather than being God centred.

Disobedience. in breaking God's command. "Thou shalt have no other GOd..." They did their own thing, and worshipped the gods of the Amorites. If we do not spend time in God's presence, communicating with Him, and allowing Him to speak with us, to lead us and guide us we will find ourselves in the wilderness, and maybe even "worshipping" other gods.
