  1. Q2. (Ephesians 2:14-15) In what sense did Jesus as Messiah "fulfill" the Mosaic Law? What is the significance of that for Jewish people? For us Gentiles? Jesus did not sin(2 Cor 5:22-For our sake he made him to be sin who knows no sin,so that in Him we might become the righteousness of God.)..The purpose of Mosaic Law is for people not to sin..and Jesus fulfill them all by not sinning. The significance for the Jewish people,is that they no longer required to go to the temple and offer sacrifice, because Jesus is the perfect sacrifice once and for all.For us Gentiles,it is also offered to us freely and once we make Jesus our Lord and Personal Saviour,we become adopted as sons, and Heir to the promise. There is now no more Jews, and Greek and Gentiles but all are one in Christ(Gal 3:28)
  2. Q1. (Ephesians 2:11-12) Why does being out of touch with what it means to be "lost" impede our willingness to witness? In your own words, what is the spiritual condition of a friend or co-worker who doesn't know Christ? 1.Pride sometimes will hinder us to accept the fact that before we are born again,we are just lost as our unbeliever neighbor. We tend to sugarcoat who we are before being born again,as not as bad as other. 2. Spiritual condition of our neighbor who does not know Christ is dead. And even if He knows Christ but does not believe and accept his complete work in the cross, his spiritual condition is still dead.
  3. Faith is recognizing, our dependence our nothingness wihout Jesus.Faith is trusting and believing that Jesus Christ is our Lord and our Savior. Faih is something that God has given to all of us.The Bible says in Romans 12:3 that God has alloted to ua a measure of faith. I would define faith to a 10 year old as..TRUST and BELIEVE.
  4. 1.According to Eph 2:10 what we were created to?Why? We were created to do good works.however let us not rushed out and define this work as a root but rather a fruit ofnour being born again. Most of the time we forced the newly born again christian to produce the work..otherwise we accused them of being false christian, because we reason out, faith without works is dead..making the whole born again eperience a sham, and another "do this" don't do this religious yoke. The good works in us, is a result of us being born again, just like an apple,it would produce apple as a fruit and not orange in DUE TIME.
  5. You buy a house and suddenly was out of job, and can't pay for the mortgage, until it accumulates that it is impossible for you to pay on your own. You received a letter thatbthe bankmis going to foreclose your property, and that you vacate the house immediately or face arrest and imprisonment. You really loved the house and you and your family has no where to turn to.The day has ome when the bank and police come knocking at your door,to kick you out..and as you gather your belongings out,a stranger come with all the money that you owe the bank, and paid it all including interest. You don"t know this man,you don't do anything for him,to received such kindness. That my friend is GRACE..you cant pay it in your own,yet someone pay it for you, without you doing anythingbfor him..He do it all for you..your debt is your sin..and the bank and police is satan, who come to steal, kill and destroy your hapiness. They have the right to kick you out of your happiness and joy because you cant pay for your sin..until someone comes to pay it all for you, without you doing anything, only your heart is crying in desperation for someone to save you..His name is Jesus.and what he has done for you is called grace of God.
  6. 1.Why is it so hard for us to understand grace? As a child we are so used to "reward and punishment" way of life that if we do something bad we are punished and if we do something good we are rewarded. And as we grow up,it becomes a norm where ever you go,in school and after that in work.Merits and demerits system. And most of us including myself grow in Religious setting family, who wants to upholds the 10 commandments "thou shall not"..as if we really can obey it all, just like our forefathers before. So therefore our mindset has been program, since childhood to "do this" and "don"t do this" kind of thinking that we react instinctively in every situation according to what we believe is right or wrong..that we need to do something..the focus in ourselves in order to be blessed or cursed, which is the very opposite of Grace. 2.What commonly held life principles thatbit demolish? Self righteousness. 3.Translate the word grace intona language a 10 year old would understand. LOVE.I will love you no matter what you do.
  7. Seal-is the brand of ownership..of possession,an act of taking control. Downpayment--Payment has been done, now you can owned waht you purchased. When does the end term occur?-Jesus second coming How do these analogies help explain how the Holy Spirit functions in our lives?--The Holy Spirit is the Sign that we are born Again, that the Spirit God who was not present before we are born again suddenly is alive in the inside of us.
  8. -To Praise Him,and that we would live a life that Glorifies His Holy Name What do we need to do to fulfill his purpose?-NOTHING..just Receve Jesus as your Lord and personal saviour and live the love that God has for you,and everything will just flows out naturally without you knowing that God's purpose has been fulfilled in your life. Matthew 5:13-16-..Is the result of who you are in Christ after you recieved Jesus..You are now the SALT and LIGHT of the world..which means you need to live who you are in Christ, and this attributes will be seen by people around you without you trying to be SALT and LIGHT..for these are nothing but fruits of being born again..
  9. The significance is the fullfilment of plan and will of God.All the bible points to Jesus..from Old Testament to New Testament. This is the Will of God..salvation through His Son,He has highly exalted Jesus.. Phil 2:9-11- Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: 10 That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; 11 And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. It relates that all things must bow down at the Creator,God the Father and Jesus Christ whom he has sent.United,in One LOrd,one Faith, one batism-Ephesians 4:5.. 1 Cor 8:6-yet for us there is but one God, the Father, from whom all things came and for whom we live; and there is but one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom all things came and through whom we live 1 Corinthians 15:24-2824 Then the end will come, when he hands over the kingdom to God the Father after he has destroyed all dominion, authority and power. 25 For he must reign until he has put all his enemies under his feet. 26 The last enemy to be destroyed is death. 27 For he “has put everything under his feet.”[a] Now when it says that “everything” has been put under him, it is clear that this does not include God himself, who put everything under Christ. 28 When he has done this, then the Son himself will be made subject to him who put everything under him, so that God may be all in all. The above verse relates to me the Final days on Jesus second coming wher He will gather us who believe in his name, and finally destroys everything that rejects Him..and Jesus will reign as King over us the New Jerusalem forever and forever more, according to the will of the Father.Amen.
  10. In what sense have you been "redeemed" from slavery? In what sense have you been "redeemed" from slavery?--I was redeemed from the bondage of my sinful nature, slave to sin due to what the first adam has done (Romans 5:19-For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous.) What do you think your life up to now would have been like if you hadn't been redeemed?--I am still be a slave to my sinful nature, a sinner not because I sinned, but because it is my nature.. And without Jesus redeeming me,I will be in constant perpetual strucggle trying to please God,and trying to save myself which eventually will not happen.
  11. Why is adoption a particularly apt illustration of God;s relationshipt to us?--Because when we recieved Jesus us our personal saviour,He beome one of us,through the Holy Spirit who Jesus tells will abide in Us FOREVER(John 14:16-And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;)..the Holy Spirit does not come and go as most people think so..He is within us,FOREVER..and as the Holy Spirit is in us,we are accepted and adopted as God's Son,because His Son who is also the Holy Spirit abides in us...This is the Fathera nd Son relationship. Why is the concept of adoption encouraging to us?--It is encouraging for I no longer needs to labor,to groan,to work to become one..I is about Jesus who is in me.
  12. What does it mean to be holy?-We can only be Holy with our union with Christ.I attended one Bible study where before we begin, one Elder told us to stand and Cleanse ourselves before the Lord and confess whatever sins we have that separate us from the presence of God..So before we begin studying the Word of God,here we are TRYING TO REMEMBER what God REMEMBER NO MORE(Heb 8:12 and Heb 10:17)..so instead of magnifying Jesus and His complete work, here we are Magnifying Sins and insulting the blood of Jesus, that it cannot take away our sins once and for all..I never returned to that so called Bible study again, who despite their good intention, the devil just corrupt their mind due to wrong belief on HOW TO BE HOLY. In what sense can you stand "blameless" before God-.By Faith on the complete work of Jesus Christ, that his shed blood was once and for all make me righteous and Justified before God.
  13. What is scary about Predestination?--That people will mis interpret it,and will ignore the Grace of God..Jesus Christ complete work in the cross, just because of the argument if I am already predestined to be saved who needs Jesus? What is comforting?-That God is not respecter of person(Acts 10:34- Then Peter began to speak: “I now realize how true it is that God does not show favoritism)..That all are equal in the sight of God,that all have sinned and fall short of the Glory of God,that even the viest sinner, has a chance to be saved..Because God was with Jesus reconciling the whole WORLD,and not only Christian(2 Cor 5:19-that God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting people’s sins against them. And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation). Why does Paul bring up predestination?--To teach the Gentile covert that IT IS ALL ABOUT tHE WORK OF GOD..nothing in themselves but all according to God's good pleasure(2 Tim 1:9-He has saved us and called us to a holy life—not because of anything we have done but because of his own purpose and grace. This grace was given us in Christ Jesus before the beginning of time,) Why do you think he praising God for it in the "hearing" of the Ephesians?-Apostle Paul, wants to impart Faith to the believers..knowing that we need Faith to be saved(Eph 2:8-For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God)..so He keep on Praising God,in the hearing(That His letter will be read in Church),because Faith comes by Hearing and Hearing the Word of God,and in this case by hearing the Praise of God.
  14. To be in Christ is to have recieved Jesus as your Lord and Personal Saviour....It is not I but Christ living in Me.(Gal 2:20-I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.) The implication is that when someone is in Christ The Holy Spirit is already living in the inside of them, that they are already accepted in the beloved..That they are already saved.
