  1. To receive Jesus in your heart, means to bring him into your life, become one with Jesus and believe in Him. Believe in His Word and be willing to follow Jesus all the way. To receive Jesus is to receive the Holy Spirit and be willing to live your life through the Holy Spirit, leading and guiding your life. We have a direct relationship with God when we obey His Son. Those that do not believe and question Jesus Christ, do not have God in their hearts.
  2. John the Baptist was being hassled by the Jewish religious leaders, Pharisees and Sadducees because John was receiving much attention from the people and they were afraid that they would not adhere to the religious laws. Also, these leaders may have felt threatened as if they were losing their power as leaders of the people. The leaders wanted to clarify if John was claiming to be the Messiah or the Prophet who is to come before the Messiah. John understood his own mission as the one who cries in the wilderness as prophesied by Isaiah. John denied being a prophet and also denied being the Messiah. John wanted the people to prepare themselves for the coming of the Lord. John's mission could cause much conflict because he was doing something new and different. When people aren't use to change and want things to remain the same, they are threatened by anything that brings about a change.
  3. John was a "forerunner" for Jesus Christ. He came to tell about the Coming of Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ is the "light" of the world. As Christians, we have Christ living deep within us and as a result we are to let that "light" in us shine so that all men can see and be drawn to us an not away from us. When we share the Good News of Jesus Christ or share the Gospel, we are testifying to the light. As a minister I am doing well in this area. However, I need to do more within my community and my own neighborhood. John the Baptist was beheaded because of His work for God in telling others about the Coming of Christ. I may not be beheaded, however, I can be ostracized by others; talked about; and even harassed mentally, physically and/or emotionally and spiritually. Others who I may testify to can have a life changing experience or they may choose to ignore God's word. Evang. Snow

  5. Yes, I agree with you Jen, we will never know all there is to know about God...therefore, sometimes when I am questioning God or questioning "Why" I have to stop and accept the Word as it is and believe in Him and do His will. God answers us in His own way and in His own time. Evang. Snow
  6. Q1. (John 1:1-3) According to the Apostle John, is Jesus fully God? What does it mean that Jesus is the “Word”? What does this say about him and his ministry? According to Apostle John, Jesus is fully God. In the beginning was the "Word" and the "Word" was with God. Jesus is the "Word." Everything that is made came from God and Jesus was God wrapped in the flesh when he walked amongst men to teach them the Word of God. No one has ever seen God, but has seen Jesus as a the light or representation of God. God's light shined through Jesus because God is light and as we believe in God's Word and/or believe in Jesus the Christ, we inherit that Light which gives us power of the indwelling Holy Spirit. Many people separate Jesus from God, because they have difficulty in comprehending God's ways and his thoughts, but his ways and thoughts are not like ours. God's power is incomprehensible. God had a reason to wrap himself in flesh as Jesus the Christ. Thank God for Jesus and His ministry. Jesus words came directly from God and not from man and Jesus knew His mission was to be about His Father's business. Evangelist Snow
