  1. Sauls perspective of David being summoned to court was to play the harp to releive him of the tormenting evil spirit. But then Saul begins to like David and keeps him as a officer who carries armor. Gods perspective for the reason for David to be there could be many different things, to learn from Saul, to see first hand how much responsabilities there are for the King, to be a servant so he will know what it is like to serve and how to treat people who will serve him in the future when he becomes King. Things that prevent me from learning from God is stubborness, To be more teachable I need to rid myself of self and open my mind to His teachings
  2. The story shows us that we are quick to look at people according to human acceptance, but if we wait for the Lord to speak we will see that his thoughts are not based on appearance, or standings in the community, or good deeds that have been done but the heart of the person which humans cannot see. Learning how to listen to the spirit and discern right from wrong takes discipline. Studying the bible, and lots of prayer. Sometimes we think that if we pray for the Lord to send or give us something that if it comes easy it must have been the answer from the Lord. When in my own experience it wasn't the answer at all. Through studying I have learned that His way isn't the easy way sometimes it is the harder way that he wants us to take.
  3. 1. Rebellion - Doing the opposite of what is required based on the thought that your way is better than the way you were told to do it. 2. Rebellion is as bad as witch craft or occult practices because doing anything that doesn't put Gods instructions first is the same as not even having God in your life. 3. Rebellion causes arrogance when anyone thinks their way is better especially if they are able to convince other people to agree, even though it leads them astray from Gods instructions. 4 / 5 When we find ourselves being rebellious we should pray and as for forgivenss, and set it straight with anyone we have influenced to do it our way. If we don't do anything the consequensis could be terrible causing loss of favor in Gods eyes, or even worse causing someone else to fall short of the Glory
