  1. Q1. (John 2:14-17) What was going on in the temple? "In the temple courts he found men selling cattle, sheep and doves, and others sitting at tables exchanging money." (2:14) The sacrificial animals and money-changing tables were located in the Court of the Gentiles within the temple grounds. So the place designated for believing Gentiles to pray and worship was cluttered with the clink of coins, the braying of animals, and the sounds of commerce -- hardly a place of peace wherein to seek the Lord. Why was Jesus offended by it? Jesus was offended, not that pilgrims needed to purchase sacrificial animals -- cattle, sheep, goats, doves/pigeons, etc. -- but that God's house had become perverted from its main function as a house of prayer, and turned into something resembling a market, at which everyone brought their produce, set up stalls, and crowds came to do their shopping. The temple that supposed to be holy and the Father's earthly house was now a commercial area. What action did Jesus take? "15 So he made a whip out of cords[75], and drove all from the temple area, both sheep and cattle; he scattered the coins of the money changers and overturned their tables. 16 To those who sold doves he said, 'Get these out of here! How dare you turn my Father's house into a market!'
  2. Q4. (John 2:6-10) Why did Jesus perform this miracle behind-the-scenes? Jesus is not showy. He do things according to his own timing and his own will. Who was he trying to protect? He is trying not to catch the attention of the people in the wedding. He is only protecting the newly wed couple to embarrassing moment. What does the quantity of the wine tell us about Jesus' glory? Six water pots of stone, 6 means incompleteness. With Jesus, 7 is complete, glory to the Lord. What does the quality of the wine tell us about Jesus' glory? Saving the best until now. The best wine. The glorious God he is. Jesus’ only wants for us is the best.
  3. Q3. (John 2:6-10) Why do you think alcoholics are quick to point out this miracle? Alcoholics are using this to justify that it is okay to be a binge drinker. Which is wrong: drinking wine or drunkenness? Drunkenness. Drinking wine is not just a social drink but is a part of a meal that you should not have to much. Anything that is too much is bad. How can we avoid excesses and still enjoy God's good gifts? There must be a gauge, like one glass is good and two glasses is more than enough.
  4. Q2. (John 2:3-5) Why do you think Mary pushes Jesus to solve the wedding host's problem? Mary became worried or anxious and because of that she tried to control Jesus. It is not known why Mary told this to Jesus. It would seem that she had a belief that he was able to supply it, though he had as yet worked no miracle. Are her words to Jesus appropriate? It is inappropriate. Mary shouldn’t interfere in Jesus’ own way and timing. Would you categorize Jesus' reply as a rebuke? Verse 4. Woman. This term, as used here, seems to imply reproof, as if she was interfering in that which did not properly concern her; but it is evident that no such reproof or disrespect was intended by the use of the term woman instead of mother. It is the same term by which he tenderly addressed Mary Magdalene after his resurrection (John 20:15), and his mother when he was on the cross, John 19:26. Comp. also Matthew 15:28, John 4:21, 1 Corinthians 7:16. What have I to do with thee? Matthew 8:29. This expression is sometimes used to denote indignation or contempt. See Judges 11:12, 2 Samuel 16, 1 Kings 17:18. But it is not probable that it denoted either in this place; if it did, it was a mild reproof of Mary for attempting to control or direct him in his power of working miracles. Most of the ancients supposed this to be the intention of Jesus. The words sound to us harsh, but they might have been spoken in a tender manner, and not have been intended as a reproof. If so, why does he go ahead with the miracle? It is clear that he did not intend to refuse to provide wine, but only to delay it a little; and the design was, therefore, to compose the anxiety of Mary, and to prevent her being solicitous about it. It may, then, be thus expressed: "My mother, be not anxious. To you and to me this should not be a matter of solicitude. The proper time of my interfering has not yet come. When that is come I will furnish a supply, and in the meantime neither you nor I should be solicitous." Thus understood, it is so far from being a harsh reproof, that it was a mild exhortation for her to dismiss her fears and to put proper trust in him. Mine hour,
  5. Q1. (John 2:1-2) Why are we sometimes “too busy” to spend time with friends and relatives? Because of attending to our own personal life and needs What does Jesus’ attendance at this wedding tell us about him? Jesus came to celebrate with the new couple, with his relatives and friends. He is with them. Celebrations with family and friends are important to Jesus -- and should be to us. How can we apply that learning in our own personal lives? We shouldn't feel ourselves too spiritual or too busy for such earthly joys and responsibilities. We should always keep in touch with our relatives and friends, spend time with them.
  6. Q5. (John 1:50-51) John 1:50-51 (KJV) 50 Jesus answered and said unto him, Because I said unto thee, I saw thee under the fig tree, believest thou? thou shalt see greater things than these. 51 And he saith unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Hereafter ye shall see heaven open, and the angels of God ascending and descending upon the Son of man. Which aspects of Daniel’s prophecy in Daniel 7:13-14 does Jesus apply to his title as Son of Man? one like the Son of man came with the clouds of heaven Daniel 7:13-14 (KJV) 13 I saw in the night visions, and, behold, one like the Son of man came with the clouds of heaven, and came to the Ancient of days, and they brought him near before him. 14 And there was given him dominion, and glory, and a kingdom, that all people, nations, and languages, should serve him: his dominion is an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and his kingdom that which shall not be destroyed. When will the Son of Man complete his ministry? His dominion is an everlasting dominion. Jesus second coming is the fulfillment of the promised but his ministry is forever.
  7. Q4. (John 1:45-50) John 1:45-50 (KJV) 45 Philip findeth Nathanael, and saith unto him, We have found him, of whom Moses in the law, and the prophets, did write, Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph. 46 And Nathanael said unto him, Can there any good thing come out of Nazareth? Philip saith unto him, Come and see. 47 Jesus saw Nathanael coming to him, and saith of him, Behold an Israelite indeed, in whom is no guile! 48 Nathanael saith unto him, Whence knowest thou me? Jesus answered and said unto him, Before that Philip called thee, when thou wast under the fig tree, I saw thee. 49 Nathanael answered and saith unto him, Rabbi, thou art the Son of God; thou art the King of Israel. 50 Jesus answered and said unto him, Because I said unto thee, I saw thee under the fig tree, believest thou? thou shalt see greater things than these. How does Jesus deal with Nathanael’s skepticism? Come and see. This was the best way to answer Nathanael. He did not sit down to reason with him, or speculate about the possibility that a good thing could come from Nazareth; but he asked him to go and examine for himself, to see the Lord Jesus, to hear him converse, to lay aside his prejudice, and to judge from a fair and candid personal inquiry. So we should beseech sinners to lay aside their prejudices against religion, and to be Christians, and thus make trial for themselves. If men can be persuaded to come to Jesus, all their petty and foolish objections against religion will vanish. They will be satisfied from their own experience that it is true, and in this way only will they ever be satisfied. What was the nature of the miracle? The miracle is when someone believe, it is the grace even though we are not worthy. Nathanael have faith at once to Jesus and that is the nature of the miracle. (John 1:47-48) Nathanael responds with instant faith in response to this prophetic insight: Upon coming to faith, what title does Nathanael bestow upon Jesus? Verse 49. Rabbi. Master. Applied appropriately to Jesus, and to no one else, Matthew 23:10. The Son of God. By this title he doubtless meant that he was the Messiah. His conscience told him that he had judged right of his character, and that therefore he must know the heart and the desires of the mind. If so, he could not be a mere man, but must be the long-expected Messiah. The King of Israel. This was one of the titles by which the Messiah was expected, and this was the title which was affixed to his cross, John 19:18. This case of Nathanael John adduces as another evidence that Jesus was the Christ. The great object he had in view in writing this gospel was to collect the evidence that he was the Messiah, Matthew 20:31. A case, therefore, where Jesus searched the heart, and where his knowledge of the heart convinced a pious Jew that he was the Christ, is very properly adduced as important testimony. (*) "the Son" Matthew 14:33, John 20:28,29 (*) "the King of Israel" Matthew 21:5, 27:11
  8. Q3. (John 1:40-42) John 1:40-42 (KJV) 40 One of the two which heard John speak, and followed him, was Andrew, Simon Peter's brother. 41 He first findeth his own brother Simon, and saith unto him, We have found the Messias, which is, being interpreted, the Christ. 42 And he brought him to Jesus. And when Jesus beheld him, he said, Thou art Simon the son of Jona: thou shalt be called Cephas, which is by interpretation, A stone. What role does Andrew play in Simon Peter’s conversion? Andrew became the tool of the God as a soul winner. Today, why do so many Christians substitute bringing a person to Jesus with bringing them to church? People love social gatherings thats why Christians invites and bring them to church and let the minister introduce them to Jesus. What might be the similarities? Just like the Jews they love to socialize but they love to meet and to be introduce to Jesus What might be the differences? Being introduce first to Jesus is receiving first the blessing of knowing him personaly. Then later on joining him to the church.
  9. Q2. (John 1:38-39) John 1:38-39 (KJV) 38 Then Jesus turned, and saw them following, and saith unto them, What seek ye? They said unto him, Rabbi, (which is to say, being interpreted, Master,) where dwellest thou? 39 He saith unto them, Come and see. They came and saw where he dwelt, and abode with him that day: for it was about the tenth hour. Why doesn’t Jesus tell his inquirers where he is staying? "Come and see." He doesn't give them an address or make an appointment. He invites them to come along with him and walk with him. Verse 39. Come and see. This was a kind and gracious answer. He did not put them off to some future period. Then, as now, he was willing that they should come at once and enjoy the full opportunity which they desired of his conversation. Jesus is ever ready to admit those who seek him to his presence and favour. Why was it important for disciples to “be with” Jesus? God gave the grace to these disciples that is why they now have the desire to be with Jesus. They will now learn more and walk closely with Jesus. The importance is they will have a close experienced to be with Jesus and that is what they are going to tell, preach or teach to the people. Following him -- and in the process, learning from him -- is the essence of what it means to be a disciple. Mark's Gospel tells us of the Twelve: "He appointed twelve -- designating them apostles -- that they might be with him and that he might send them out to preach and to have authority to drive out demons." (Mark 3:14-15) What does “being with” Jesus mean today? Being with Jesus today means reading his Word day and night, learn more about him by and by, meditate, apply it in your life, live with his Word, be equipped, teach and preach his Word. If we want to become close-following disciples of Jesus, we must "hang out with him," spend time with him so we can learn from him and pattern our lives after him.
  10. Q1. (John 1:35-37) John 1:35-37 (KJV) 35 Again the next day after John stood, and two of his disciples; 36 And looking upon Jesus as he walked, he saith, Behold the Lamb of God! 37 And the two disciples heard him speak, and they followed Jesus. Upon whose recommendation did Andrew and another person start following Jesus? through John's recommendation (John 1:37) And the two disciples heard him speak, and they followed Jesus. They had been the disciples of John. His office was to point out the Messiah. When that was done, they left at once their master and teacher, John, and followed the long-expected Messiah. What did this recommendation cost the recommender in this case? John's work is done. John 3:30 (KJV) 30 He must increase, but I must decrease. This shows that John was sincere; that he was not desirous of forming a party or of building up a sect; that he was willing that all those whom he had attracted to himself by his ministry should become followers of Christ. The object of ministers should not be to build up their own interests or to extend their own fame. It is to point men to the Saviour. Ministers, however popular or successful, should be willing that their disciples should look to Christ rather than to them; nay, should forget them and look away from them, to tread in the footsteps of the Son of God; and the conduct of these disciples shows us that we should forsake all and follow Jesus when he is pointed out to us as the Messiah. We should not delay nor debate the matter, but leave at once all our old teachers, guides and companions, and follow the Lamb of God.
  11. Devout Christians differ on the baptism of the Holy Spirit. As you discuss this, make sure that your attitude is one of love for your brothers and sisters, even if you might disagree with some things they believe. Q5. (John 1:33) John 1:33 (KJV) 33 And I knew him not: but he that sent me to baptize with water, the same said unto me, Upon whom thou shalt see the Spirit descending, and remaining on him, the same is he which baptizeth with the Holy Ghost. How does John the Baptist’s baptism differ from the baptism that Jesus brings? John the Baptist's baptism is the washing of the body with water, immerssion in the water for the purification of the body to be acceptable to him. While Jesus Christ who will then will baptize with the Holy Spirit. Baptism is a word that means “immerse, plunge under water.” What does a “baptism of the Holy Spirit” imply about this event? It implies that in this event the baptism of the Holy Spirit or the descent of the Holy Spirit is the union of of these three names in the form of baptism proves that the Son and the Holy Ghost are equal with the Father. Jesus Christ was joined by the Holy Ghost and the Father the triune God in One.
  12. Q4. (John 1:29) John 1:29 (KJV) 29 The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world. What does the title "Lamb of God" tell us about Jesus' ministry? Behold the Lamb of God. A lamb, among the Jews, was killed and eaten at the Passover to commemorate their deliverance from Egypt, Exodus 12:3-11. A lamb was offered in the tabernacle, and afterward in the temple, every morning and evening, as a part of the daily worship, Exodus 29:38,39. The Messiah was predicted as a lamb led to the slaughter, to show his patience in his sufferings, and readiness to die for man, Isaiah 53:7. A lamb, among the Jews, was also an emblem of patience, meekness, gentleness. On all these accounts, rather than on any one of them alone, Jesus was called the Lamb. He was innocent (1 Peter 2:23-25); he was a sacrifice for sin-the substance represented by the daily offering of the lamb, and slain at the usual time of the evening sacrifice (Luke 23:44-46); and he was what was represented by the Passover, turning away the anger of God, and saving sinners by his blood from vengeance and eternal death, 1 Corinthians 5:7 According to 1:29, whose sins did he come to take away? Which taketh away. This denotes his bearing the sins of the world, or the sufferings which made an atonement for sin. Comp. Isaiah 53:4, 1 John 3:5, 1 Peter 2:24. He takes away sin by bearing in his own body the sufferings which God appointed to show his sense of the evil of sin, thus magnifying the law, and rendering it consistent for him to pardon. Romans 3:24, Romans 3:25. In what ways did Jesus fulfill Isaiah 53? When he died in agony on the cross of Calvary. Isa 53:5 But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed. Isa 53:6 All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all. Isa 53:7 He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth: he is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so he openeth not his mouth. Isa 53:12 Therefore will I divide him a portion with the great, and he shall divide the spoil with the strong; because he hath poured out his soul unto death: and he was numbered with the transgressors; and he bare the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors.
  13. Q3. (John 1:19-27) How does John the Baptist show humility? Verse 27. Whose shoe's latchet. Matthew 3:11. The latchet of sandals was the string or thong by which they were fastened to the feet. To unloose them was the office of a servant, and John means, therefore, that he was unworthy to perform the lowest office for the Messiah. This was remarkable humility. John was well known; he was highly honoured; thousands came to hear him. Jesus was at that time unknown; but John says that he was unworthy to perform the humblest office for Jesus. So we all should be willing to lay all that we have at the feet of Christ, and feel that we are unworthy to be his lowest servants. How can a person see himself as the fulfillment of a passage from Isaiah and still be humble about it? Verse 21. Art thou Elias? This is the Greek way of writing Elijah. The Jews expected that Elijah would appear before the Messiah came. Matthew 11:14. They supposed that it would be the real Elijah returned from heaven. In this sense John denied that he was Elijah; but he did not deny that he was the Elias or Elijah which the prophet intended (Matthew 3:3), for he immediately proceeds to state (John 1:23) that he was sent, as it was predicted that Elijah would be, to prepare the way of the Lord; so that, while he corrected their false notions about Elijah, he so clearly stated to them his true character that they might understand that he was really the one predicted as Elijah. How does John see himself in relation to the coming Messiah? Verse 20. I am not the Christ. This confession proves that John was not an impostor. He had a wide reputation. The nation was expecting that the Messiah was about to come, and multitudes were ready to believe that John was he, Luke 3:15. If John had been an impostor he would have taken advantage of this excited state of public feeling, proclaimed himself to be the Messiah, and formed a large party in his favour. The fact that he did not do it is full proof that he did not intend to impose on men, but came only as the forerunner of Christ. How can a person be such a strong revivalist preacher and still remain humble? John's example shows that all Christians, and especially all Christian ministers, however much they may be honoured and blessed, should be willing to lay all their honours at the feet of Jesus; to keep themselves back and to hold up before the world only the Son of God. To do this is one eminent mark of the true spirit of a minister of the gospel. Can humility and powerful, confident speech co-exist? I think yes. Because your only doing this for Christ and the Holy Spirit that is with you is the power behind it.
  14. Q2. (John 1:26-27) John 1:26 John answered them, saying, I baptize with water: but there standeth one among you, whom ye know not; John 1:27 He it is, who coming after me is preferred before me, whose shoe's latchet I am not worthy to unloose. Why did John baptize? John was to prepare the way of the coming Messiah. One way of preparing to meet someone is to be presentable/acceptable. Having a good shower, grooming, and nice clean clothes. So John baptize with water to wash the body of a sinner-believer to purify them and make them presentable/acceptable before they meet the coming Christ. What is the meaning of the baptism he was performing? John's baptism with water means the washing of body for purification of the vessel. Being ready, being clean body, being acceptable. What do you think baptism represents to those John baptized? Those who are baptized by John are presentable and acceptable to Jesus Christ.
  15. Q1. (John 1:19-23) John 1:19 And this is the record of John, when the Jews sent priests and Levites from Jerusalem to ask him, Who art thou? John 1:20 And he confessed, and denied not; but confessed, I am not the Christ. John 1:21 And they asked him, What then? Art thou Elias? And he saith, I am not. Art thou that prophet? And he answered, No. John 1:22 Then said they unto him, Who art thou? that we may give an answer to them that sent us. What sayest thou of thyself? John 1:23 He said, I am the voice of one crying in the wilderness, Make straight the way of the Lord, as said the prophet Esaias. Why do you think John the Baptist was being hassled by the religious leaders from Jerusalem? There are many reasons like John is gaining popularity in the Jewish nation. The priest and Levites are intrigued in what John is doing like prophesying, preaching, counselling, and baptizing in water. Now they are reacting, they are offended because John told them they are generation of vipers. What were they afraid of? The time was the nation of Israel is under the colony of Roman empire and the king is Herod. There are uprising going on and there were rebels against the Romans and against king Herod. They are afraid he may cause un uprising and or if he is making money for preaching and prophesying he is evading tax. How did John understand his own mission? John being led by the Spirit of God did his mission and become to understand that there are a lot of sinners that needs a remissions of their sins. How much conflict do you think could be expected from John’s mission? There are a lot of conflicts because the corrupt priest and the Levites and also the king were offended. People may no longer go to the priest for sin offering and instead they can just go to John which is a cheaper way to remission their sins.
  16. Q5. (John 1:18) "We have seen his glory, the glory of the One and Only, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth." (John 1:14b) What does it mean that Jesus is the “Only God” or the “Only Begotten God”? It is amazing and really a grace to know God. To know that he is GodMeaning you cannot compare it to any human mind or to any creature. That is why he is also being called Almighty God. Our Father revealed himself through Jesus as the only God and also revealed himself as the only Begotten Son. That is why whoever was given understanding was given a grace of wisdom of knowledge and understanding. This is the real good reason to say WOW! Does the Apostle John seem to make a distinction between God the Father and God the Son? John did not make any distinction between God the Father and God the Son. Jesus in the flesh is the very Expression of God Himself, and that this Jesus IS God himself "No one has ever seen God, but God the One and Only, who is at the Father's side, has made him known." (John 1:18) What does all this mean for our understanding of the Trinity? God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit, the triune God in ONE God the Father : By His Word he proclaimed his being God who created all things and who is the sovereign ruler of all things. The Divine. The Highness. God the Son: God knows already that we cannot do the righteous things by ourself, we will not come to him by ourself. He came down and humble himself unto us to show how to be humble down and meek through Jesus. God the Holy Spirit: Unseen God that only the Father knows who is always with us even before this world begun. And after the ascension of Christ many believers proved that its existing until now. The Teacher, the Chastiser, the Counselor, and the Comforter. This Holy Spirit resides in us.
  17. Q4. (John 1:14) "The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us." (John 1:14a) Why is the idea of God “becoming flesh” so important to the basis of the Christian faith? God through Jesus Christ became flesh. He showed how a man can do a journey in this world while relying in the promise and provisions of God by believing in Christ. What would Christ’s life, crucifixion, and resurrection mean if he were only pretending to “become flesh”? Then all will be in vain. The blood that was spilled would mean nothing and our sins have no remissions. In what ways have you personally experienced his grace? When He gave me light, he let me known of my sins and that my life is just a mist or just a breath. He showed His unconditional love by giving his life for me. In what ways has his truth changed your life from what it was? I got Peace, I got Patience, I learned to Pray - talk to him constantly, I have his Provisions, my hope is his Promises
  18. Q3 (John 1:12-13) But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: -John 1:12 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. -John 1:13 What does it mean to "receive" Jesus? Receiving Jesus is receiving the Light. Receiving the pardon from sins. Receiving the understanding of the love of God What does it imply to "believe in" Jesus? To believe that Christ died for our sins is very important for our salvation That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.-John 3:15 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.-John 3:18 What is the spiritual relationship to God of those who receive and believe in Jesus? We will have a relationship with the Father as his sons by receiving the light and believing in Jesus. But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: -John 1:12 Of those who do not? Eternal damnation will come to the unbelievers. but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.-John 3:18
  19. Q2. (John 1:7-8) John 1:7 The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through him might believe. John 1:8 He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light. What did it mean that John was sent to "testify" to the light? We learn from the Apostle John that John the Baptist: Is sent from God. Is a witness to testify regarding Jesus the Light. a.)John is sent to tell everyone that whosoever believe in Jesus Christ, will not perish but will have an everlasting life. John 3:15 That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life. John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. b.)John is to tell that the dark days or blindness is over because Jesus will open our eyes. c.)Having the light means having the understanding. Meaning Jesus Christ will give you the understanding that we have sinned and through Christ there is pardon. In what sense are you put here with the purpose of "testifying" to the light? God have put the purpose in my heart to tell the world that Jesus is the Light. Meaning Jesus is the Saviour. Having the Light is knowing that a.)"For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God" -Romans 3:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. -Romans 6:23 b.) But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.-Romans 5:8 c.) For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life -John 3:16 How are you doing in this regard? Christ is the real soul winner and we are the instrument. By the grace of God I am being used by the Lord to be a witness of the Light. What happened to John the Baptist? John the Baptist witness to many souls about the Light and many believed and were baptised and were saved. He was imprisoned for rebuking king Herod and later on beheaded. What might happen to you if you testify clearly? I can be a tool of God to testify to the Light and may win many souls What might happen to the people to whom you testify? lost souls might be save which is the primary purpose of God why John was sent.
  20. Q1. (John 1:1-3) According to the Apostle John, is Jesus fully God? YES - In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. What does it mean that Jesus is the "Word"? a.) Ever since the beginning of this world Jesus is there already and He is the "Word". He was with God in the beginning -John 1:2 b.) Proverbs 8:22 The LORD possessed me in the beginning of his way, before his works of old. (KJV) Proverbs 8:23 I was set up from everlasting, from the beginning, or ever the earth was. KJV) c.) I and my Father are one. -John 10:30 What does this say about him and his ministry? Through him all things were made; without him was not anything made that was made. -John 1:3 Meaning He is God Almighty the creator of the earth, the heaven, and whole universe. He has the power to forgive sins and to minister to the poor in spirit.
