Q6. What do you think God intended animal sacrifice teach us about sin? About holiness? About God's nature? God wanted us to know that there is a consequence to sin. The bible tells us that the wages of sin is death (Romans 6:23). Sin separates us from a Holy God, animal sacrifice atones that sin for a short time until we sin again. The fact that we keep having to make sacrifice for our sins, shows that we are can never come into the presence of a Holy God. We learn that God loves us so much that, He offers only His only son in our place. Now we are able to be with Him here in this life and for Eternity, because of His Grace

Andrew and I believe John the author of this Gospel were followers of John the Baptist. John the Baptist was an accomplished teacher; fulfilling his purpose by leading people to Jesus. He became less that Jesus may be the greater. I am reminded of the Holy Spirit, who is with us at all times and leading us pointing the way) to Jesus and God the Father.
