  1. Reconciliation means to be brought back together. It is necessary because we were separated in the beginning because of Adam and something was needed to restore us back to God who created us. In a sense we are being saved through Christ’s resurrection and because He lived again, His death and resurrection is what’s saved us. In the present Jesus is interceding for us so that we are acceptable to God (Romans 8:34)
  2. Because it shows the unconditional love that God has for us and even more so continue to have for us after we accept Him the Lord of our life. Because it’s part of accepting Him as our Lord; we need to accept the fact that we have just been given a second chance and God’s sacrifice of His only Son deserves every bit of our life. Christ died for us at our worse. It gives us assurance of the fact that the Cross happened and the Holy Spirit that we have been given to give us the confidence and faith in God and the knowledge we gain to use against the Devil’s lies.
  3. Not rejoice in that we jump up and down because of suffering like losing a job, but rejoice knowing that God has a bigger plan and during this trial He wants to build character in us and put our trust on Him. Perseverance is what allows us to endure whatever sufferings/trials we’re going through. It’s having the determination that is often called for in a Christian because it is written that we will be persecuted; it is not an easy road to travel. Tried character is important because it shows we’ve been through the test and it shows what we’re built of when successfully getting through trials and sufferings. The importance of hope is keeping our eyes on the prize; knowing that God will get us through everything.
  4. For Abraham, his foundation of belief; believing in God along with his faith is what made him righteous and therefore was justified. For us, having faith in Christ is accepting what He has already done on the cross and knowing that our sins have been paid for once and for all. To be justified is to be pardoned. Christ’s death gave us justification for our sins so that we may be righteous in God’s eyes.
