  1. Q1 What did the angel's announcement say about who marries child was and who he was to become? 1. Mary will become pregnant. 2. Mary will give birth to a son. The name "Jesus" Matthew 1:21 his title will be "Son of the Most High" he will inherit "the throne of his father David" finally his kingdom will never end. I believe this says it all as to who and was to become.

  3. What does v44 teach us about the kingdom that the God of heaven will set up? Gods kingdom will be everlasting, never be destroyed & will crush all other kingdoms. What kingdom is this? Kingdom of God when Jesus returns. When does this kingdom come? Only God knows this answer however the word of God says it will be in the end time. I believe it could be at anytime because we are living in the end of time. How is this related to Mark 1:15? They both tell us what is to come. The Kingdom of God. Jesus spoke of this as being at hand, all should repent & believe. When will it destroy all other kingdoms? At the second coming of Jesus himself as described in Rev 11:15& foretold in Isa 27:13. Exo 15:18 says, The Lord shall reign forever and ever.
  4. How does Daniel show humility is this situation? Daniel takes no credit for knowing the answer to the kings request but gives all credit to the God of heaven. How does he use this situation as an opportunity to witness before the king to his faith in God? He tells the king there is a God in heaven who reveals all mysteries. According to 1Peter 5:5-6, should we try to exalt ourselves? No If we do so, what will happen? God will resist us. The Bible clearly states that all glory should go to God for all things.
  5. 1Tim 2:1 Correction Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men.
  6. Why does Daniel ask his friends to "plead for mercy"? Their lives depended on Daniel being able to tell the king his dream & what it means, only God can reveal that to Daniel. According to Scripture, is intercessory prayer important? 1Tim 2:1 says" Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions (which is praying for others) of thanks be made for all men. If I believe that God's word and follow his commands then yes it's very important. Is it effective? Yes How can we implement intercessory prayer in our churches? I believe that if the churches are in line with God's word then intercessory prayer is a big part of any church already.
  7. What is Daniels first approach to eat a different diet? Daniel's request was asked with respect & acknowledgement that he was asking a person in charge. What does he do when his first attempt failed? He then proposes a test. What is his demeanor towards those over him? One of respect and acknowledgement that this is the person in charge. In what way do you think God affects the outcome of Daniel request? God gave favor to Daniel by intervening on Daniels behalf.
  8. Why do you think Daniel took a stand concerning being defiled by the kings food and wine? God's laws given to Moses, I feel was a big concern. Food's that may have been used in a sacrificial offering to pagan gods would have defiled them see (1 Cor 10:20-33). How do you think eating the king's food would cause defilement? Daniel & his friends had given up everything & to give up their faith, belief & trust in our God would have been a sin in the eyes of God. What does this tell you about Daniel? His conviction and character was strong.
