  1. Q3. (Daniel 2:44) What does verse 44 teach us about the kingdom that the God of heaven will set up? What kingdom is this? When does this kingdom come? How is this related to Mark 1:15? When will it destroy all other kingdoms? An eternal kingdom. A kingdom like no other since the beginning of time. Ruled by Yeshua. This kingdom comes last. It will come on God's time. Not ours. Yeshua told about this kingdom when He said that it was "at hand". So we must be ready. When the tribulation period ends, the Forever Kingdom will be set up. The antichrist deceives people into believing that he is the Christ. How sad for them. Yeshua will begin His one thousand year reign. I am so ready. The world has beome so evil. And we haven't even seen the worst of it. This is NOT my home.
  2. Q2. (Daniel 2:27-28) How does Daniel show humility in this situation? How does he use this situation as an opportunity to witness before the king to his faith in God? According to 1 Peter 5:5-6, should we try to exalt ourselves? If we do so, what will happen? Daniel gives the credit to the One True God of Heaven. He knows God gave this to him and he knows he must give God the credit. As we should. I love the way Daniel uses this opportunity to witness. I want to be like Daniel. I want to use every opportunity that comes my way. I know I have missed many. That makes me so sad. Daniel tells the king that NO ONE could do this. But One. The God of Heaven. We should never exalt ourselves. That is pride. God hates any sin. Pride is high on that list. If we are prideful, we lose our close relationship with God. I never want to do that. But we all have to fight pride. We must humble ourselves.
  3. Q1. (Daniel 2:17-18) Why does Daniel ask his friends to “plead for mercy”? According to Scripture, is intercessory prayer important? Is it effective? How can we implement intercessory prayer in our churches? He asks his friends to pray because the four of them (especially Daniel) understand that prayer is the only way to discover the answer to the puzzle that was the King's dream. These were men who walked with God. They prayed about everything. As we should. Intercessory prayer is effective. The churches need to take on intercessory prayer for what it is. Intercession. For the lost, for the world's problems and for the persecuted church. We need prayer teams in ALL Bible preaching churches to pray for our persecuted brothers and sisters. The pastor have to take the lead and appoint those they know are prayer warriors.
  4. Q4. (Daniel 1:8-16) What is Daniel’s first approach to eat a different diet? What does he do when his first attempt failed? What is his demeanor towards those over him? In what ways do you think God affects the outcome of Daniel’s request? Daniel was very respectful in his first request. I can be assured that he spoke in a pleasant way. He depends on God with both attempts. That is the important thing for me. He never loses his faith. He never waivers in that. When his first fails, he tries again. This time, with a time limit. Which makes it easier for the king's official to accept. God was engaged in helping Daniel. He is helping us. All we have to do is ask. Daniel was humble and obedient to the one true God. He was polite and considerate with the chief official. God was there with Daniel turning the chief official's heart to Daniel and working the outcome in Daniel's favor because God knew Daniel's heart.
  5. Q3. (Daniel 1:8-10) Why do you think Daniel took a stand concerning being defiled by the king’s food and wine? How do you think eating the king’s food would cause defilement to Daniel’s conscience? What does this tell you about Daniel? I think Daniel had no other choice BUT to take a stand. He was a child of the One True God. Giving in to the king would have NEVER been an option for this man. It would have defiled his conscience because he wasn't about to leave God. He would never have been able to live with himself. And that's as it should be for all of us. There are so many lessons to be learned from Daniel. Daniel was serious in his walk with God. A prayerful man, he lived for Gid and walked closely with Him no matter what the consequences of his actions.
  6. Q2. (Daniel 1:1-7) What changes did Daniel and his friends experience? What was their status in Jerusalem? In Babylon? What do you think was the effect of changing their names to Babylonian names? What impact might it have on them to be made eunuchs? Did they make compromises? If so, why? Pastor Ralph, I believe their entire way of life was changed. They had to learn to accept the change. They were of nobility in Jerusalem. They became captives in Babylon. And they had to do what Nebuchenezzer ordered. I think the name changes were ver hard for them to take. They loved God, and I believe that in their time together when no one else was around they called each other their Hebrew names. They were forced to make compromises. They had to. And I know it hurt them. But they did stick to their Hebrew diet, didn't they? There were some compromises they flatly refused to accept. Thank you for making this picture more detailed to me. I've read it at least a hundred times, and I am just now realizing how hard it must have been for them.
