  1. We are one with Jesus. Jesus says whatever we do to one of His people we do to Him. Matthew 25:40. We are one in His Spirit. 1 Corinthians 6:17. God will close doors on me that I see as open and when I try to go through the door, I am met with obstacle after obstacle and eventually defeat. I feel it is harder on me but Lamentations 3:33 says this is not so.
  2. Q4. (Romans 5:9-10) What does "reconciliation" mean? To restore to friendly relations Why is reconciliation with God necessary? Reconciliation makes salvation a possibility (an open door). We could never be saved if we were not first, reconciled to God on friendly terms. We understand our having been saved by Jesus' death (5:10a, past tense). In what sense are we being saved (5:10b, present tense) by his life? His death made it possible for us to be able to live a life as He now lives. A life that is full and complete (nothing missing nothing broken). A Soteria lifestyle. (The word “salvation” in the Greek language is “soteria” (so-tay-ree-a) #4991, rescue, safety, deliver, health, The word “saved” in the Greek language is “sozo”(sode’-zo) #4982, it means “ to save, deliver or protect, to be made whole (in health, prosperity and peace of mind).) What is Jesus doing for us in the present? He is our High Priest who intercedes on our behalf before the Father.
  3. Q3. (Romans 5:6, 8) Why is it so important to embrace the truth that "Christ died for the ungodly" (5:6), ... It is an affirmation to the fact that we are saved, not because of what we have done, but because of what Christ has done for each and everyone of us. If we can grasp the truth that He died for us while we were considered to be 'ungodly' then we can know that He truly lives for us once we become 'godly'. that "Christ died for sinners" (5:8)? It is affirmation that we are no longer considered to be 'sinners' once we are saved. Now that He lives, we now live as the 'righteous'. According to 5:8, did Christ die for us at our best or at our worst? At our worst. Without salvation, forgiveness, righteousness, godliness, etc. we are at our very worst. Does not matter how we feel about ourselves, whether good or bad, it is about what He says about us that becomes the truth. Without Him, we are helpless (to save ourselves and make ourselves right) and hopeless human beings. How does this give us assurance against the devil's lies about us being too bad to forgive? We can rest assure that what God says about us is truth and what the devils tries to tell us about ourselves does not matter. God says we have been made righteous with Him if we have chosen salvation through Jesus Christ. (1 Corinthians 1:30)
  4. Q2. (Romans 5:2-5) According to this passage why should we rejoice in our sufferings and tribulations? Because through each and every trial and tribulation our perseverance is proven. One by one, what is the importance to our lives of: perseverance, tried character, and hope? Perseverance is what keeps us in hope and in faith during tough times. This will build our character so that we can be sure the next tough time that we are able to keep our joy because we know that with God we end up as the victors. We can truly learn to count it all joy. And our joy keeps us filled with hope and peace during tough times. Perseverance helps us to become more like Jesus (who truly counted all His suffering as pure joy because He knew what His suffering would produce .. Christians).
  5. Q1. (Romans 5:1-2) According to verses 1-2, faith is a key to salvation. For Abraham (4:3), what was the relationship between faith and justification? Abraham believed what God said to him and then acted on this belief in faith (he left his family to move where God told him to move .. he was willing to sacrifice his only son, etc.) Abraham was justified by God as a result of his belief and faith in what God said. The relationship between faith and justification .. God's gift to Abraham was His Word. Abraham's gift to God was faith. God's gift to Abraham was justification. For us (5:1-2), what is the relationship between faith and justification? In your own words, just what does it mean to be justified? For us as well, God's gift to us is His Word (Jesus). Our gift to God is our faith. Because of our faith, Jesus has justified us before the Father. To be justfified is to be absolved and made free of the responsibility of our sin. It is to be free of present and future blame for the things we do wrong,
