  1. This gives us an idea of the magnitude of our Heavenly Father’s love for us. The Father loves the Son so much, yet He sends the Son to die for our sins. This is true love. We cannot even attempt to measure or imagine the love of God for His own sinless Son Jesus Christ. In our world, surely such a Father will not permit such a Son to suffer – never mind to die. Yet He "spared not His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all." “He who did not spare His own Son, but gave Him up for us all - how will He not also, along with Him, graciously give us all things? (Romans 8:32). His love to His sinful children made Him willing to sacrifice His sinless Son. “In bringing many sons to glory, it was fitting that God, for whom and through whom everything exists, should make the author of their salvation perfect through suffering. (Hebrews 2:10)” The Father’s sacrifice in allowing Christ to suffer and die must only be because: "For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life (John 3:16).
  2. In what way does the title Son of God make Jesus equal with the Father? When you deal with the Son, is that the same as dealing with the Father? Do you know Jesus the Son of God? Do you love Him? The Bible, strongly confirms Jesus’ as the eternal Son in the Trinity (see Matt. 11:25-30; 17:5; 1 Cor. 15:28; Heb. 1:1-3, 5, 8). The Son of God, referring to Jesus, is shown as being equal to God the Father in all of His attributes. In John, we also read that Jesus is the Son who fully reveals the Father, and has been given authority from the Father to pronounce eternal judgment, and to rule over all. So, to me, when we deal with the Son, it is the same as dealing with our Heavenly Father. Yes! I most definitely know Him, and this only by the grace of our Lord. Yes! I love Him above all else
  3. Q6. (Luke 9:35) Since Jesus is God's Chosen One, what does it mean to "listen to him"? My Answer: It means that listening to Jesus is the same as listening to God In what ways does your life reflect listening to him? My Answer: Today I am busy and distracted with a major home improvement project that is draining my energy and focus. I was tempted to put off my Bible study time to get on with my project. A still small voice, I believe is Jesus, prompted me to take the time to be with Him and work on my project afterwards. Thank You Jesus! In what ways do you need to heed him more explicitly? My Answer: I will continue with my home improvement project story...I would not have lost my peace and joy over this project if I had walked more closely with Jesus throughout the project's implementation. Had I placed my focus on Him, where it belongs, I would have enjoyed the journey so much more. He has been here with me the whole time yet I left Him behind to pursue my own agenda.
  4. Q5. Where did the title "Branch" come from? How does the imagery differ from the title "Root"? The title Branch came from prophecies in Isaiah and Jeremiah. The Root is the source (Jesse/David) and the Branch is Jesus, the righteous king, long awaited Messiah.
  5. Q. Why were the chief priests and scribes so angry when little children referred to Jesus as "Son of David"? A. They were still looking for and waiting for a Messiah that would come from the lineage of David to deliver them politically from the Roman's rule and did not see Jesus as that expected Messiah. Q. What does the title "Son of David" signify? B. It signifies that Jesus is the Seed of David, the comes form the lineage of David
  6. Q3. (Matthew 16:13-16) Whom did Peter believe Jesus to be? My Answer: Peter believes Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the Living God. How did Peter come to believe this? My answer: Jesus said that His Father in heaven revealed to Peter (Simon) Who Jesus is. Why does Jesus command his disciples not to tell others that he is the Messiah? (Matthew 16:20). My Answer: Because He was not ready to reveal that other than to His followers at that time
  7. Isaiah 9:6-7, For unto us TO US! This Child will come to us to save us....think of that! And what qualities He will have. His power brings peace, not war. Righteousness and justice, not despotism and corruption. And it will last forever! There is an oblique reference in Isaiah 43:18cf....'Remember not the former things, nor consider the things of old.....Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it?" Isaiah Chapter 53 must be the greatest and yet John 3:16 where we learn that God loved us so much. He loves us! Loved us so much that He chose a people, fashioned their history, put them through experiences, sent them prophets and gave them signs of His coming, And He came to them and to us. Jesus, Yeshua, the anointed Son of Man, Son of God, who came to save us by taking our sins upon Himself at the cross.
  8. Christ is our Lord’s, originating from the Greek word christos, which means “anointed”. Christ declares Jesus as God’s Anointed One, sent by God Himself to come and save mankind. He had been sent to teach us about the Kingdom of God, to heal the sick, and to deliver us from sin. Messiah has the same meaning in Hebrew as “the Anointed One”. In Jesus’ day the Israelites expected David’s descendants to rule forever, and the Messiah would come and deliver them from their bondage to the Romans. He would overthrow the Roman yoke and reign forever. God has kept the Davidic Covenant unconditionally, preserving the rebellious Hebrew nation and bringing them back from exile “for My own sake and for My servant David’s sake”.
  9. First, He is our only Mediator with the Father. No man comes to the Father except by Him. We are commissioned to bring our supplications, prayers, intercessions and thanksgivings to our Father through His Son in whose name we pray. We pray together as His Body, the Church gathering before Him. This is the work He has commanded and empowered us to do as His children.
  10. In humility He suffered and bore our sins upon Himself to the cross of calvary. Therefore as christians, we need to adhere to his sorrow when He cried-out to His father on the cross. He was in great sorrow in that time towards his crucification and the pain of it. But, on earth Jesus also had great joy in His life by preaching the Kingdom of God, meeting with people, healing the sick and showing love to one another. In short He was peacefull and a happy person on earth.
  11. He is God to be worshipped in spirit and in truth. He has given us His word to know Him and to obey Him and His commands. When we walk in obedience, we bring glory to Him. It is in the obedience that we walk in the power and authority of god and we get to see the demostration of his power and glory on earth
  12. Resembles a man, comes on clouds of heaven, approaches the Ancient of Days. Would have to have been divine to approach the Ancient of Days--God He rec'd authority, glory & power, all persons worshiped Him, has an everlasting kingdom. In Matthew he said that in the future they'd see the Son of Man sitting at the right hand of God
  13. Jesus is the truth, His truths seems foolishness to the earthly realities. Jesus wisdom leads us to salvation while earthly wisdom leads us to condemnation. The word of God will help me hold unto the truth and wisdom of Jesus
  14. Jesus is called the true and faithful witness because He truely accepted to come down in human form to witness or testify about His father and faithfully went to the cross to fulfill His father's mission of redemption. He witness tothe love of God and the everlasting convenant the God promised to mankind to redeemed us from our sins and bring us to salvation. He was truely faithfull in that He indured persecutions, accepted all challenges, gave up himself to die to bring us salvation. As a disciple, I stand strong on His word in and out of season, preaching and tearching the whole council of His word. If I improve in my witness, more prople will come to the saving knowledge of christ, swelling the kingdom of God.
  15. Jesus is LOVE and the word of God is Love. Therefore Jesus is the love of God. Because He was manifested in human form to come and teach the love of God to us and to be the symbol of love on the cross to redeem us. Because in Him there is life eternal The bible says we cannot get to the father except we past through Jesus the word. So we should pay attension to The Word because it is Love and Jesus Himself
  16. My relationship with Jesus as teacher"rabbi" is cordial. I am at the listening end while he speaks to me through his word. I come to Him to teacg me daily through prayers With my heart wide open to accept His teachings. I think that I am quite teachable now by the way i live in my community
  17. The disciples were given authority by Jesus to use His name in prayers to cast out demons and to heal the sick. This was only goinr to be possible if the disciples believe totally in Jesus. Yes.We have this authority.Acting in Jesus name demostrates that we are christlike and speaking on His behalf. We are sometime afraid to act in Jesus name because of our disbelief. The devil will instill fear in us that God will not answer us. To alleviate this fear, we need to always listen to the silent voice of the Holy spirit and trusting totally on Jesus for all our solutions
  18. Prayer in Jesus name signifies that He has given you authority to go to His father with your heart desires. The bible says except you believes in Jesus you cannot see God. Yes. The phrase "in Jesus name" appears serverally in my prayers. Because i believes He is the way , the tryth and the life. Praying in Jesus name does limit our prayers per say but gives us only what is best for us from the will of God through Jesus as he knows our needs better than we do.
  19. The world and its patterns thinks that we should live to satisfy its desires, and as soon as you identify with the ways of Jesus Christ you will be called names and even be considered as a stumbling block to peoples way of life. Yes. I was hated by a member in the church beceuase i constantly condemn some aspect of his life that were not giving glory to the lord. If you compromise in preach the true word, then you are ashame of His and His word. By speaking His word in and out of season and living by it.
  20. Jesus oiginally Hebrew name means "Yahwes Saves" meanwhile "saves" is from the verd Yasha meaning to save, give victory etc. The Angel appeared to Mary and asked her to name the chile JESUS(Luke 1:13) and then to Joseph gave him the name Jesus and the reason why that name (Mtt 1:21) You will give him the name Jesus because He will save His people from sin. His mission is to SAVE His people from sin, and bring them to salvation. Jesus fulfilled this mission by accepting to die on the cross so that His blood will washed away our sins. Tis mission is fulfilled in my life since I have accepted him, knowing that his blood has cleansed my sins and now I am saved.
