  1. I was baptized as a child but when I begun to study the bible, I understood that it is through faith in Jesus Christ that we are saved. I therefore stated my belief in Jesus as the son of God, his death and resurrection for my salvation and made the confession that Jesus is Lord of my life. I was then immersed in water participating in the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus, dying to my old self and beginning a new life in Jesus. I have pledged to live for him who died for me.
  2. Q2. Why do you think God’s glory is associated with judgment and consuming fire? What happens when people willfully disobey God and his laws? Why can’t God’s holiness coexist with sin? God is who He is and we must abide by His Will otherwise judgment follows and with it comes punishment. Disobedience has consequences. An encounter with God results in transformation so sin ceases to exist. When we are unwilling to be transformed then we have no communion with God
  3. Q6. (Revelation 11:15; Psalm 24:7) When people think of spending an eternity in heaven, who do they most look forward to being with? Relatives? Jesus? What does it mean that he will reign forever and ever? In what way is he the King of Glory in your life? This has been an amazing study revealing who Jesus really is and I pondering on where he is positioned in my life. People look forward to being with Jesus I believe. We know him and have come to love and trust him but never been in a face to face encounter with him. It will be so fulfilling to finally meet him. I long to see the face of God too, not even Moses could see his face while on earth! Jesus begun his reign and it will be for eternity. I long for the time of glorification when sin will no longer have a place and he will reign with the saints forevermore. There will be no end to his reign. Jesus is the king of glory in my life in that whatever I do is through him who gives me strength and the glory thus belongs to him. I desire to worship him only and honor him with my life. Thanks so much for these lessons. I look forward to more. Blessings.
  4. Q3. (Colossians 3:2-4) To what degree is Christ the center, the focus of your life? I realize that apart from Christ I am nothing, so I make a choice everyday to let his word guide me and to put my hope in him so I may keep strong. I strive to do everything as unto him. If you had to prove to another person that Christ is the center of your life, what evidence would you muster? I find myself quoting scripture more than anything else. I also have purposed to put others before self just as Christ did for me. What evidence would contradict this? I feel I do not spend enough time talking to my children about Jesus. What kind of repentance is necessary to reprioritize your life? I need to reprioritize and spend more time with my children talking about Jesus. He needs to be the focus of my entire family.
  5. Q2. (John 6:51; 15:1-5) What do Jesus’ teachings on the Living Bread and the True Vine teach us about drawing from his life? What happens to our vital Life when we rely on ourselves, and stop relying on him? Why is it so hard for us humans to learn the lesson of dependence and trust? Apart from Jesus, we can do nothing but if we ask through him we will be able to do so much more. That's a promise we ought to claim instead of depending on our helpless selves yet it's not easy. The tendency is to try all available options before turning it to Jesus. How disappointed he must be with us. Those who hope in God will not grow weary. Our performance in life deteriorates because we grow weary. We need to keep attached to the vine for continuous nourishment. It's our pride that makes us self reliant that's why God brings down the proud and uplifts the humble.Feeding on the bread of life (God's word) is not optional for a christian.
  6. Q2. How are we disciples to assist in Jesus’ mission to seek and to save the lost? What is the love-balance between seeking to save our friends and having to back off because they feel we are trying to pressure them? We have been commissioned to make disciples. It requires work, getting out of our comfort like Jesus did. We plant, we water God causes the seed to grow, so it is not in our place to pressure but to love unconditionally like Christ does.
  7. What is your relationship to Jesus as your Rabbi? How often do you come to him to teach you? How do you receive his teaching? How teachable do you think you are? I am a disciple of Jesus constantly seeking to walk in his ways. I try to make use of every opportunity to learn from His word. My social network includes believers who share from scripture. I also have my personal bible study in addition to various online subscriptions where I read daily sharing of his word. I strive to receive his teaching with humility but I must admit sometimes the flesh takes over and I fail to grasp the teaching. I am learning to pray for revelation by the Spirit and for God to work in me to will and to at according to his good purpose. Putting his word into practice is a constant battle yet the devil cannot win. I am completely sold out to Christ.
  8. I am from Kenya and grateful to be part of this study. I look forward to learning deep insights from God's word as I seek him.
