  1. Why does Moses hunger to see God's glory? Moses relied on God's glory to lead the grumbling nation of Israel. Why does Paul press on? Because the BEST in life, love and happiness is found in the presence of God alone. What spiritual hunger do you see in yourself? I hunger for humility, to die to self. How might you increase this hunger? Fellowship with believers, daily repentance and prayer. How might you satisfy this hunger? Looking to Christ seeking first His righteousness.
  2. Why do you think God’s glory is associated with judgment and consuming fire? Alistair Begg said it best "God's mercy is relevant only because His wrath is real". God will receive the glory, even in judgement. What happens when people willfully disobey God and his laws? When people willfully disobey God they are under judgment. In hell, people are aware of God BUT separated from God's glory. This is sever conscious torment. Why can’t God’s holiness coexist with sin? I cannot understand God's blinding glory in the presence of murky sin. God is light and there is no darkness in Him AT ALL.
  3. Reputation glory: Attributed to exploits or achievements Exaltation and un ending praise is the appropriate response to God's reputation glory. Derived glory: All life on earth exists because of the sun's energy. The earth's unique capacity for life is contingent on the sun - not in and of itself. Inherent glory: Attributed to God alone. Not dependent or reliant on externalities. Reputation glory is involved in praise and worship. I am privy to His reputation by faith in His Word. I have derived glory from God.
