  1. Holiness is a state of being characterized by purity, perfection ,Integrity, good moral character, sacredness and set apart from their opposites. Only God is truly holy, and set apart. Man can act in holy ways at times to the degree that he is consecrated to do so by God. God renews the man to do His will in the man’s life to be more and more holy. Man cannot boast of his holiness, only God is hallowed.
  2. How could Christ's coming not get our undivided attention? He will come like a flash and all will know it! According to the Nicene Creed: "...he ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father. He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead, and his kingdom will have no end. ... We look for the resurrection of the dead, and the life of the world to come. Amen." Jesus announced the Kingdom of God at his first coming. Gave us requirements for becoming citizen of the kingdom, namely to be reborn. When Jesus comes the second time he will manifest the Kingdom physically in this world. Soon or not soon is not the issue we are abide in him every moment and not look for some by and by. Doubting Christ in the form of asking "really" is a problem of faith. That is remedied by repentance.
  3. Believer and non believer have trials. The self centered man turns to faith when he realize how inadequate he is before trials. But the believer has the help of the father when he realizes how weak he is. He realizes he has no where to turn can but God. When he turn to God and is lifted up.out of his utter indadequacy he know that it is God who has done the work. His faith then becomes stronger. I have come to this point several times in my life and I will continue to do so. Because life is trial.
  4. Q1. (1:1) How would you describe the behavior of a Christian who identifies more with his present homeland than his heavenly one? Have you ever caught yourself doing this? What has to happen to get our spiritual priorities straight? A Christian who identifies with his present homeland is at best a nominal Christian. That said, I am pre-occupied with the world but not identified. One needs constantly to come back to the guidance of the holy spirit which lifts us out of this world though physically in it.
