  1. Why do you think Jesus said, “By myself, I can do nothing”? (vs. 30). Jesus does what his Father does How do you justify this statement with Jesus’ divine nature as the Son of God? Father, Son, Holy Spirit. 3 in 1. But the Jesus and the Holy Spirit come from the Father In what ways can we use Jesus’ example as a pattern for our own life and ministry? We are supposed to be Christlike. Believe. Share. Pray. How do you think Jesus would “see” and “hear” the Father? By spending regular quiet time with God
  2. If I keep Jesus' commands He will send the Holy Spirit to guide me forever. He will show himself to me. If I love him and obey his teachings he will make a home in Heaven for me. The Holy Spirit will give me the peace of Jesus and teach me everything.
  3. What pattern do you see emerging in Jesus’ prayer life? Consist prayer time. Guidance from his Father. Why do you think he spends Quiet Time with the Father before the day begins? It is almost like breakfast is the most important meal of the day Prayer time with God should be also like it was for Jesus. How does this prepare him for his ministry? It is like his focal point for guidance. How did the disciple desires for Jesus differ from what Jesus felt impelled to do? (Mark 1:37-38) Why? My belief is that that wanted to be with him at all times and totally did not understand his need for private times for prayer and the need to spread the Gospel. Do you have a Quiet Time? Yes, I try to get up early before the house awakens. What could you do to improve the quality of your time with God each day? I could be more consistent in my time with God.
  4. My thoughts: If I am faithful to God and live my life serving Him, He will give me wisdom and let me know things that I need to.
  5. Hi! I'm Sherri from McClure, OH (800 people) and I attend Church in Grand Rapids, OH (Apple Butter Fest fame) at the Wesleyan Church. I have some cognitive issues with my Multiple Sclerosis so please be patient with me. I teach our Kids at Church on Wednesday night. "Who's Who In The Bible Crew". I love it. I love to crochet and bake bread in my spare time. Looking forward to learning how to listen for God's voice.
  6. I believe that God was teaching us respect because the animal sacrificed was to be the best of our lot. He was teaching us humbleness because it was expected of all. I also believe that God was showing us forgiveness.
