  1. Q1. (Romans 5:1-2) According to verses 1-2, faith is a key to salvation. For Abraham (4:3), what was the relationship between faith and justification? For us (5:1-2), what is the relationship between faith and justification? In your own words, just what does it mean to be justified? For Abraham it was accounted to him for righteous because he found the pearl of great price which was faith in the Lord. Without faith we cannot be justified by God through righteousness by faith through Jesus Christ because without faith it is impossible to please God and also find Him. To be justified means we are no longer enemies of the Lord but friends of His and also His bondservants and He is our peace.
  2. Day 15 Meditation (Psalm 134). What does it mean to you to bless or to praise the Lord? Do you take time in your daily devotions to bless him, to praise him? What does it mean to you to receive a blessing from the One who made heaven and earth? For me it is praising Him for His marvelous works and realizing that He is God alone and I have no other God besides Him. Yes I do. It means that He loves me and cares for me.
  3. Day 14 Mediation (Psalm 133). Which word pictures in Psalm 133 do you find most compelling? Why do you think lasting unity is so hard to achieve in our world, in our countries, in our churches, in our families? What do you think is the chief obstacle to love in your life? I believe the word pictures that are most compelling to me are the one of unity and the part of blessing. I believe unity is so hard achieve in our world because people refuse to agree to disagree on certain things and realize that certain things are better left unsaid at certain times. When it comes to our countries it is because people think they know better than their leaders and if they don't like what someone says they have to tell that person off. In churches I believe it is because the people it is because they refuse to bury the hatchet so to speak and forgive and live in unity. But also there are churches who believe they are the only church who is actually saved. In families they finger point about what someone has done wrong repeatedly and eventually the family is torn apart. The chief obstacle is my idolatry which is something I am working on daily,
  4. Day 13 Meditation (Psalm 132). State the Davidic Covenant or Promise in your own words. How was this promise fulfilled in Solomon’s time? How was it fulfilled in Jesus? How will it be fulfilled when Jesus returns? When Solomon became the King of Israel God chose the city of Jerusalem to reside and live in as make a holy city because of the temple that was being built for His sake. It was fulfilled in Jesus through the fact that Jesus was Lord's son and chose to die for the world's sins and healed the sick and did many miracles. When He returns He will officially set foot on the Mount of Olives and it will split in two. But also every knee will bow and every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord.
  5. Day 12 Meditation (Psalm 131). Why does demanding answers from God lead to stress? How have unexplained events in your life made you angry? How do you actually go about calming and quieting your soul? What does it mean to “hope in the Lord”? Demanding answers actually makes a person anxious and stressed out because they are constantly wondering when they are going to get those answers in truth. The biggest unexplained event outside of my dad's death would be me ending up in the er after having constipation over 4 weeks long. I am still suffering from it and have to go in for a colonoscopy now since I have no answers yet. I am not really angry I have accepted the fact that this could be a detour and God could be teaching something right now. I would say for me I listen to Christian music and read my Bible, pray and speak to the Lord in prayer about what's going on in my life and let Him speak to me in return. To hope in the Lord is to wait in the Lord and believe in His promises.
  6. Day 11 Meditation (Psalm 130). How does knowing that God forgives us affect our lives? Our faith? How does knowing God forgives us affect our willingness to forgive others? How is your “expectancy level”? How is your hope? How is your faith? For me it comforts me and reassures me and shows me that He does care and love me even when I stray from Him and that He also comes after me and chooses to seek and find me and bring me back to the fold. When it comes to our faith it strengthens it and causes us to hope in Him. It causes us to remember how much the Lord gave of Himself to forgive us of our sins. I am daily learning to wait on the Lord even when it is hard. My hope is in the Lord alone. It is strong.
  7. Day 10 Meditation (Psalm 129). Can you think of times in your life when God has delivered you from affliction? Or perhaps from “the cords of the wicked”? How have you dealt with the bitterness that comes from oppression? Have you been able to forgive? If not, what would it take to enable you to forgive your enemies and offer them a blessing? Yes as I look back on my life I see how He delivered me from the enemy's tactics and used that to bring others to Him through my ministry. For all things work together for good to those who are called according to His purpose. Yes many times in that area as well when I least expected it He would tell me when someone was out to harm me. For me I have chosen to be like Jesus and remember what Jesus went through for us and not focus on the past. It took time for me to forgive but as time went on I was finally able to forgive.
  8. Day 9 Meditation (Psalm 128). What does it mean to “fear the Lord”? What kinds of blessings has God showered over your life? Why does he allow remaining struggles? Does faith always result in prosperity? How do you define prosperity? What it means to fear the Lord is to have reverent awe and fear for Him that you choose to be Holy for Him alone. He blessed me with salvation, a holy calling as His Child and also His Prophetess for the Field of the Ministry I am in. He blessed me with a full time ministry that does so much for Him. He does it so we can grow stronger in our faith with Him. No it doesn't. I define it as crown of life.
  9. Day 8 Meditation (Psalm 127). Why is work without trust inadequate? Why is trust without work an illusion? How can we achieve the kind of balance that affords us good rest? Why do you think the psalmist stresses that children are both a “heritage” and a “reward”? When we choose to do things on our own; and not ask the Lord's blessing for them we will utterly fail and we will fall flat on our faces in the end because we are doing it in our our strength not His. We must be willing to partner with the Lord in every work He gives us to do no matter how great or small it is truly. For when it comes to the Lord's work He has a plan for how He wants His work done and we must be willing to follow it. It is an illusion because we are not relying on God like we should and we do not have the works of faith that the book of James speaks of. We can achieve it by trusting the Lord to provide for us and protect us when we need it. I believe that the Psalmist stated that because of the fact that when we choose to obey the Lord; He chooses to give us the desires of our heart.
  10. Day 7 Meditation (Psalm 126). Why doesn’t God always do the stupendous miracles of which he is capable? Why is patient obedience over the long haul necessary to both the success of our labors and our own spiritual maturity? Can we shout for joy now, even before we receive the answers to our prayers? What might prompt that in us? I believe the reason that He doesn't do them anymore is because so many churches and their leaders fail to realize that the Lord is same yesterday, today and forever and not only that He is not a mere mortal and so He can't be put a box nor can His power for it transcends both time and space and there is no way to explain it. We must be willing to obey Him in whatever capacity He gives us to do for ministry no matter how small or large for when we obey Him little becomes much in His Hands. Yes when we choose to obey the Lord and realize that He has it all under in control. It would prompt in us joyous surrender.
  11. I believe it all deals with the person's faith and how much they believe God can do for them when they ask in prayer. For the Lord said in His word that anyone who would ask in His name believing they will receive. It takes faith to believe that you receive a miracle just like it took faith for us to be saved. I believe it is because we are the Lord's children and sometimes forget who gives the increase. That is not us but the Lord. Yes when we choose to change our perspective on things and realize that God knows what is best for us. It might cause us to praise God more.
  12. Day 6 Meditation (Psalm 125). What does this psalm teach us about the security that the Lord gives us? What examples do you see of unrighteous rulers? What kind of government happens when rulers are unrighteous? What happens in the government of our hearts when we allow unrighteousness in us to continue to guide our actions and thoughts? That the security the Lord gives us is not temporary but eternal in the sense that He will never leave us nor forsake us. Because He is not a mortal man and He doesn't lie or change his mind. When I think of unrighteous rulers; my mind recollects several. Barack obama, Joe Biden, Kamala Harris, Bill Clinton, Tony Evers, Gavin Newsom, Pete Buttigieg I believe when we allow it to reign or rule in us we no longer become vessels of honor for the Lord then. We start.doing things that we will regret later on my since we didn't choose to think things through like we should have. We sometimes make hasty decisions in areas that need more consideration. When we do this we end up paying for it in the end.
  13. Day 5 Meditation (Psalm 124). Think back on your own life. In what circumstances have you seen God deliver you from danger from others? Even from danger from yourself? How do you explain God’s undeserved love toward you? What undeserving person comes to mind who can be the object of your love and mercy? For me I can think of the times when I was helping out the ministry I created with my team members and there were people who directly intended to hurt me and the Lord caused them to become ill because of what they had done to me or someone I knew. I also can remember times when I wasn't close to God yet the Lord was looking out for me and rescued me. The danger from myself would be the many times I did something I should have known better not to do. Yet time and again would do anyway. But upon the Lord's admonishment I realized my error and came back to Him. I can only explain it as unmerited favor since the Lord chose to die for me while I was in my sins. My aunt since she caused me pain.
  14. Day 4 Meditation (Psalm 123). What does this psalm teach us about trust that our Master will right our wrongs? What does it teach us about contempt for others? What group of people in your particular community most bear the brunt of prejudice? What can you do to go out of your way to show active love toward them? It teaches that when we choose to trust in the Lord and believe that He is able to defend us and our cause and right any wrong. He will do it as long as we choose to trust Him and not to take matters into our own hands instead like the rest of the world. It teaches us that that we are treat others as equals and not differently because of color of their skin. We are also treat them as God as sees them. I would have to say the Arabs are being treated with great prejudice as well as the blacks. Even people who are obese now. I can show them God's love.
  15. Day 3 Meditation (Psalm 122). Why do people desert the house of God in our day? Why do so many Christians believe they can mature in Christ without the help of Christ's people? How can you pray for the peace of God's house? What can you do to "seek the good" of God's house? I believe some people get hurt by others in the church and become discouraged in the faith because of it so they walk away. The young people may become disenchanted because the music is not their style. However the house of God has never been about the music, the pastor or youth pastor or choir but about the Lord and His work. I believe it's because it is how they are raised or taught in their churches but that is not how the church is and what the Word says. I can pray for unity among all believers in the world. I can pray that they all glorify the Lord.
  16. Day 2 Meditation (Psalm 121). In what ways is God your Help? How does he help you? In what ways is he your Keeper? How do you perceive that he guards and protects you? How is he your Shade? How do you see that he shields you? When it comes to God being my Help I can't even begin to count the ways He has helped me in my life lately and in the past. I however can remember some very awe inspiring moments that caused me to realize how powerful my God truly is. While I was casting out demons in my ministry that I have, I felt that the person's family in general was very antagonist toward believers and would not approve of me and what I was doing at the time. Upon finishing what I had done, I began to get death threats and some very disturbing things at my door step that were from the family. All saying that they would kill me if I chose to do to come back down and my work for the Lord. As the Lord would have it; I ended up being told that I was no longer able to participate in them because of my chronic back pain and it was best that I let someone else take my place. That I believe was God's protection of me then when I least expected it. Just recently I have been struggling with ongoing health issues that never seem to resolve themselves. I ended up in the er because of it. I was incredibly terrified at the time because I didn't know what they would find. However upon they ended up telling me that I needed another test to find the cause of my problems. While on the way to the hospital God used a song's lyrics to make a point to me. He told me that even though I don't see Him working He is working and He is the way maker. He helps me by reminding me of His goodness and protection and provision when I need it. See above for examples. When I am scared I feel His presence. His wings surround me. He shields me from the storm.
  17. Day 1 Meditation (Psalm 120). In what ways does stress pull us away from God? In what ways does stress draw us closer to God? Have you given your stress points to God fully? What are you asking him to do about your stresses? It pulls me away through me ranting and raving commonly as complaining, grumbling like the Israelite over my problems instead of giving them over to God. I will make my problems bigger than they appear meaning I will turn molehills into mountain ranges so to speak. It causes us to cry out to Him. No I am still a work in progress there. To take them from me.
  18. Q5. (Hebrews 13:16, 20-21) What are the actual requests being made of God in this great benediction? What "pleases" God according to verses 16 and 20? Why should we "make it our aim to please him" (2 Corinthians 5:9, NRSV)? The requests being made are that God make us complete, so that we are equipped for every good work in Him and are able to bring people to Him as well. It pleases God when we choose to obey Him rather than man or our selfish desires. Because He is our Savior and Lord.
  19. 2. (Hebrews 13:5-6) How can we recognize greed in ourselves? What will be the signs? What is the antidote for greed in our lives? What would be the earmarks of a greed-free life? If not money, what should be the basis of our security for the future? What promises do you find in verses 5 and 6? We can recognize it when we start buying what we don't need, when we are no longer thankful for what we already have, when we look elsewhere for fulfillment in our lives other than God. The antidote is to be content with what you have and also to love God with all of your being. You are grateful for what you have, you buy only you need, you don't what you need, you also learn to rely on God's guidance and direction for all your decisions. I believe it would be that would be the Lord is our helper when we need Him most.
  20. Q1. (Hebrews 13:1-3) How do hospitality to strangers and visiting prisoners relate to brotherly love (philadelphia)? Where are you strong in brotherly love? Where are you weak? In the Gospels Jesus spoke of how we are to clothe the naked, feed the hungry, refresh the thirsty with something to drink, take strangers in, visit the sick, and visit the prisoners. The Lord Himself states that when we do it one of our brothers or sisters we are doing unto Him. Intercession, Encouragement Wisdom. Loving the unlovable.
  21. Q4. (Hebrews 13:15-16) Though the sacrifice for atonement have been completed in Christ, what kinds of sacrifices or offerings are Christians called upon to make? What effect do these offerings have on God? The sacrifices we are to bring are those of acknowledgment, praise, good deeds, and adoration to the Lord. They please God when they are made.
  22. Q3. (Hebrews 13:8) What is the significance of this verse for the original readers? For you? For understanding just who Jesus is? For believing in the power of God for today? It means that Jesus is unchanging to them, completely consistent and He will not change. For He is the eternal God whose ways are everlasting. What He says He means. It means for me I can completely trust Him and His word. It proves that the Lord is the eternal God who will return again soon. It means that His power is immutable and won't change.
  23. Q5. (Hebrews 12:25-29) Is a fear of God healthy? If so, how? When does fear of God become unhealthy? How does the fear of God fit with 1 John 4:18? Yes because in truth when we choose to fear it is a reverent fear that we have of Him. We are learning to trust Him through this fear of God. Unhealthy fear is when you believe that God hates you and will discipline you continually for everything you do wrong. It fits in with it through the fact that the person no longer is fearful of the Lord's judgment anymore.
  24. Q4. (Hebrews 12:14-17) Is the writer of Hebrews teaching salvation by being holy? Why or why not? 1 Corinthians 6:9-11 and Galatians 5:19-21. Can habitual sin deprive us of heaven? If so, how? The writer of Hebrews is telling us that when we come to Christ and become believers we need to learn to live for Him by redeeming the time and living Holy lives and learning to sanctify ourselves or set ourselves apart from the world so they can see a difference in us. I believe in certain cases in more like that person never truly had a heart change and different mindset.
  25. Q3. (Hebrews 12:5-7) I've sometimes heard, "God never punishes anyone." Is that true according to these verses? If so, how does punishment fit into the larger overall concept of discipline and child-rearing? What is the purpose of God's discipline? No that is incorrect and untrue according to what these verses state. They state that those the Father in heaven loves He chooses also chastens or discipline as well. That means the Lord disciplines us for righteous sake. It is done out of love not out of anger.
