  1. Q4. (1 Corinthians 2:9-16) How does the Holy Spirit make “the mind of Christ” available to us? Because the Holy Spirit knows the mind of God and knows everyone in-depth. So the Spirit provides us guidance through the mind of Christ. "What would Jesus do" How does this make you dependent upon the Holy Spirit? Vs12 Now we have not received the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who comes from God, so that we may understand what has been freely given to us by God. How does this relate to listening for God’s voice? It relates tremendously because the Holy Spirit is the key to hear God. If not ones own thoughts would be heard and put into action would may not be Christ like.
  2. Q3.What promises concerning the Paraclete – Comforter – Counselor – Helper – Holy Spirit does Jesus give in John chapters 14-16? That he will send us one forever to be with us if/when we believe in Him. How do these relate to guidance? To “hearing” God? When we believe and are given the gift of the Holy Spirit we are guided through life by hearing God through the Holy Spirit. The Spirit is with us to help us along our journey.
  3. (John 5:19, 30) Why do you think Jesus said, “By myself I can do nothing”? Jesus knew that the will of God is why He was sent down to complete His mission and all that He was sent to do was of our Father. How do you justify this statement with Jesus’ divine nature as the Son of God? That is was Jesus purity which made Him Devine and only the son of God could have this perfect nature. In what ways can we use Jesus’ example as a pattern for our own life and ministry? In many ways. He was loving toward all people without judgement because He understood we are all sinners. Through Him we are saved so we are to minister Him as the answer to salvation and choose to follow Him in our own lives by building/transforming our character to care virtue. How do you think Jesus would “see” and “hear” the Father? Through the Holy Spirit.
  4. The pattern would be Jesus going off and praying alone to His/our Father. He spends time with Him early in the day to be prepared for the day. This helps Him by Him calling on our Father for the answers to the daily tasks. By beginning the day in the meditation helps be in peace. The deciples wanted Jesus to continue to heal in a place where Jesus had already brought forth much healing. Jesus wanted to continue on the journey because He knew there was much ministry and healing to be done in a short time. I do have quiet time before work and sometimes before bed. However, I do need to devote more quite time with Him. I could improve this by dedicating a certain time during each day to spend quality time in His presence.
