(2 COR12 : 9; Acts 18: 9-10; 23: 11; 27: 24 Answers: a} Paul the apostle no doubt was afraid, so he was assured by the Lord in a vision that he would be protected from harm, no matter the situation the Lord said" I the Lord is with thee , so fear not. This personal encouragement from the Lord would have relieved Paul of his fear. b} The manner in which the ever loving Lord speaking to Paul would have assured him that he the Lord will be with him in person so he will not come to any harm from any man. If we turn to Matt. 24 : 35 we will see the written Word as spoken by the Lord " Heaven and earth shall pass away but not his Word", and in Deut. 32: 46, 47 all believers knows that the Word of God is Spirit and Life. - (Praise God for Jesus}.
  2. Question: (Mark 1: 33 - 35) (a) What Pattern do you see emerging in Jesus prayer life? (b) How did the disciples desires for Jesus differ from what Jesus felt impelled to do? (c) Do you have a quiet time? Answers: a) Jesus the Son of God and the Son of man, filled with the Holy Spirit made it his duty to be alone in a quiet place. At this lonely peaceful place undisturbed he would pray to the Father before day begins. He would receive instructions for the day ahead. There in private, he could tell the Father all about his day, and get his Father's opinion on all that he had done on that day. This shows the unshakable bond between Father and Son. b) Jesus precious Jesus whose name is above all names differ from his disciples because they would seek him to heal the sick of all manner of illnesses and cast out demons but Jesus was about the Father's business which was to establish his ministry and to teach his selected disciples all about the Kingdom of God. c) For many, many year I have always seek the Lord several times night and day alone and undisturbed in prayer and asking for his help for myself, family and those who contacted me home and abroad for healing.   3. Answers: Ques 1. (a)The author contrasts clearly clarify there are many different ways God speaks to mankind, such ways are as follows: "still small voice" to the wind, earthquake and fire. It is therefore vital and important that each and everyone train their mind so that they can recognize the Lord Voice, and do not get confused with the voice of the spirit enemy, or their very own voice. Ques1. (b) God's voice comforted the prophet Elijah by as follows: 1) He gave him strength and direction. 2) He gave him a spiritual woman companion. 3} He enables him to amend his way of thinking. Ques1 {c} It is easy to miss God when his voice is gentle and quiet unless we observe as follows: 1) Obey the Lord's commandments. 2) Wear the armour of God. 3) Live in the spirit
