  1. What promises do we find in Joel and Ezekiel concerning the Holy Spirit? Who are the recipients of these promises? Ezekiel 39:29 And I will not hide My face from them anymore - WOW! Just like Moses... we can experience God. Ezekiel 36:27 And I will put my Spirit in you and move you to follow my decrees - When we are filled with the Spirit(& not filled with the things of this world) we will naturally follow Him....& we need to pray and believe this for others that are struggling in their faith. Joel 2:30-32 again we see judgement language tied to the coming of the Spirit. A possibility is that this judgement might be referring to AD 70, & we are "the survivors"- verse 32. With the Temple destroyed, all possibilities of continuing in the Old Covenant have been squashed. We are the people of the Spirit, and NOT the Law. Most Exciting: Joel2:28 Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your old men will dream dreams, your young men will see visions. -Last year, I started having waking visions. The Lord still speaks to us in this way. Just pursue love & eagerly desire spiritual gifts! 1Cor 14:1
  2. What promises does God make through Isaiah the prophet concerning the Holy Spirit and the Messiah? How were these fulfilled? "he will bring justice to the nations" & " the Spirit of the knowledge and fear of the Lord" & "and the day of vengeance of our God" Wow! I have never noticed the connection between the filling of the Spirit in Jesus, and the judgement(possibly a dual mention of AD 70 & the Final Judgement)
  3. Why does Moses long for the Spirit to come upon all God's people? When the Spirit was upon the 70, they spoke the message of God. If there ever was a time that God's message was needed- is today! Like Moses, I too, " I wish that all the Lord’s people were prophets and that the Lord would put his Spirit on them!(NIV)" My prayer is to speak the truths of God without my own agenda.
  4. From the study David- "O God, you are my God, earnestly I seek you; my soul thirsts for you, my body longs for you, in a dry and weary land where there is no water. I have seen you in the sanctuary and beheld your power and your glory. Because your love is better than life, my lips will glorify you. I will praise you as long as I live, and in your name I will lift up my hands." (Psalm 63:1-4) What effect does the Spirit seem to have upon their relationship with God? When someone has a divine encounter- it changes everything. The Holy Spirit opened David's eyes to the unseen spirit realm. It is one thing to know about the invisible spirit realm, it is another to experience it. Just like Peter, James, and John, they were forever changed by their Mount of Transfiguration experience.
