The Lord permitted Moses to choose for himself the most faithful and efficient men to share the responsibility with him. . . . yet serious evils would eventually result from their promotion. They would never have been chosen had Moses manifested faith corresponding to the evidences he had witnessed of God’s power and goodness. . . . He was not excusable in indulging, in the slightest degree. . . . Had he relied fully upon God, the Lord would have guided him continually and would have given him strength for every emergency. Moses was fed up with them complaining and wanted to die. But interesting the Lord gave him a choice and yet the choice he made in the long term was more a curse than a help and a blessings.. There is heaps of discussion these days about being filled with the Holy Spirit.
I believe it is a daily experience and we need to claim Luke 11:13 if we ask we will have the Holy Spirit. That is the Word. I do not believe it is a emotional experience although many say it is. I believe its the time we spend in the Word and allow the Spirit to lead us to Surrender which is a daily walk with Him. Would be interested in your thoughts. Thanks & Blessings Pat Downey
