Stress can be an obstacle and even a stumbling block and why meditation on Gods Word is necessary. Stress drives folks to bad habits, sinful actions. Over-eating, drinking, medications and all those things which provide temporary "comfort". Stress, when allowed, can result in poor physical and/or mental health, insomnia because of anxiety and worry.
But, when one's heart has the correct indwelling and instead of looking at the problems that cause stress, look upon the Lord through His Word and stand on His promises, Matthew 11:28-30 KJV
"Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light."

and I ask God for His wisdom for whatever is being stressful, and being quick to hear and slow to speak, because stress can make the tongue say things that should not be said. A very sudden stressful situation can present itself out of the blue, terrible news can arrive at any moment. When waking each morning, have the full armor of God engaged and upon retiring for the evening, evaluate your day in light of God's Word and His promises. His grace is abundant. The Lord is my light and my salvation and Psalm 27-30 is a wonderful place to go to.
