What a blessing to be able to speak in prayer to King and Father of glory. They tell me again that He is high and lifted up above all others. The passage in 2 Corinthians tells me that I, too, by the power of the Holy Spirit, am being changed into His glory as I worship this King and Father of glory.

Surely, One who inhabits eternity must indeed by the High and Lofty One. I spent time this morning pondering the remainder of this verse that this One who Is High and Lofty dwells with the with the contrite and humble spirit. What a huge thought to start the new year.

It means to me that this God whom we serve is above All--above everything that wants to raise it's importance in our lives....Above anything and everything that takes our attention, time, talents, treasures away from our devotion to the One true God. When I pray "Oh Most High God"...it is humbling and reminds me of how HE wants to be our utmost...for His highest.
