  1. In the list of elements of the Full Armor of God, where does the Spirit show himself? The last two elements specifically mention the Spirit. The sword of the Spirit which is Fathers Word and to pray in the Spirit on all occasions. Why is Spirit-directed prayer so important for the believer? Because it is important to Father, that is why He places that desire, that urgency to pray for someone or something specifically. It builds our faith, and gives us testimony to share with, uplift and encourage the body of Christ. How have you experienced this is your life? Yes on two occasion, two of my children. The next day they both called me and told me they were in trouble of sort, both could have ended tragically, but it didn't. Hallelujah, Thank you Lord.???? Love and Blessings to you all..xx
  2. How is singing worship linked to being filled with the Spirit? Because it stirs up The Holy Spirit inside us, as we sing His praises, it brings us closer to Abba. We submit and surrender to Him as we sing His praises. How is singing worship linked to joy? We feel joy in the presence of the Lord, and praising and worshiping Him brings us into His presence. Love and Blessings to you all.. xx
  3. Why is character change directly related to time deliberately spent in God's presence? When we spend time with Abba, He sees and knows our dedication and our love towards Him, He knows that it is our hearts desire to please Him, therefore He gives us all that we need to please Him, a change in character. As we read Abbas word we learn how He wants us to live, we strive to do what is pleasing to Him, and when we fail, we repent. When we approach Abba with a sincere heart, telling Him our concerns issues, problems, He really does answer us, He moves the mountains that block our path, He comforts us, and give us peace, we actually see Him at work. We grow in faith as we spend more time in His presence, because the more time we spend in His presence the more we are blessed with His Glory and Power. Have you noticed a change in the "degree of glory" you're experiencing now compared to a few years ago? Yes I have. Why or why not? My faith has grown, in knowing that God is in control of everything, even when bad things happen I know that God has a plan. Last night I was verbally abused by text, and voice notes by an ex boyfriend, who claims to know God, because I have changed, because I am not the person I was before, the person he knew. He is still hurt after many years because I had to end the relationship. The environment was not right, Spirit told me to leave, so I left. The tears I cried last night, were not tears of hurt, but tears of compassion for the pain and the suffering he is still going through, I cant change it, I can only pray for him to truly seek and know Our Awesome Creator, for Fathers Will to be done. All the way through I showed, kindness, gentleness, love, even offering to send him money when he said he was running low on electric, it did not matter what I said, the abuse from his own selfish desires, his untamed emotions kept coming, one was wishing someone would slit my throat. I have so much faith in My Father, not only for my protection, faith even when it comes to the time and manner of my death, that it will be His will. Psalm 24 :1 says, “The earth is the Lord's, and everything in it, the world, and all who live in it”. Therefore, it holds then that everything that happens in heaven or on earth is subject to God's commands. He is in charge of all things. Nothing can take place without Him sanctioning it. Love and Blessings to you all.. xx
  4. Why do we need to abide in Jesus? So that He can abide in us. So that we can flourish, become who Father has called us to be. So that we can mature and become more like Christ, desiring live a life pleasing and acceptable to Father. The fruit from branches connected to a vine is the grape. What is the nature of the fruit that comes from being connected to Jesus? To develop Christs nature, and desire, to emulate Christs Character, to live the Life of Christ. To grow in the fruits of the Spirit. Galatians 5:22-23 22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law. Is it accurate to define fruit as "souls saved"? No What is the danger in this definition? Fearing that one is not saved, or that Christ does not abide in them because they have not brought anyone to Christ. I believe fruits is the way we live our lives, striving to live a righteous life, based on the fruits of the Spirit and the Character of Christ. It is these fruits we need to bare. These Fruits are pleasing to Father. We do not save souls, Father does that, He calls His chosen people. He places us in the right place at the right time to do His Will, or to be found, to preach, minister, heal in Jesus name, through the power of the Holy Spirit, or to be ministered of and delivered by the Holy Spirit, in Jesus name. Love and blessing to you all. Xx
  5. Why is Samuel's servant attitude such an important preparation for hearing God's voice? Having a servant attitude, means that you are willing to hear Father voice, and willing to obey and serve Him where He calls you to serve. Father knows our hearts and minds, therefore knows when we are ready to hear His voice, we have to submit to Him and be willing, desiring to hear it, with all our hearts. Why is surrender to Jesus such an important element of discipleship? We have to desire in our hearts to be more like Christ, to preach the Gospel, The Kingdom of God, to become His disciples, therefore our hearts, minds, lives, desires must be surrendered to Him so that the Spirit of Abba can fill us up, and guide our steps. We have to surrender to Jesus to become more like Jesus, He is the only way. Love and blessing to you all. Xx
  6. What connects us to the mind of Christ? The Holy Spirit, the Spirit of Our Heavenly Father. Do you have a regular Quiet Time? Yes. I crave to be continuously in His presence. What could you do to make it more meaningful? Nothing. It is always meaningfully and Spirit led, so what ever I do in that time, I feel I am meant to be doing it, whether it be paying for people, listening to, and singing praise and worship songs in my car, on my knees at my bed side, or just sitting and talking to Him about the things happening around me. Love and Blessings to you all.. xx
  7. What pattern do you see emerging in Jesus' prayer life? Prayer, work, rest. Why do you think he spends Quiet Time with the Father before the day begins? Because it is quieter, less distractions. To draw near to Father, for strength and power. To get instruction from Father, His daily bread. To know what Father wants Him to do for that day, to do Fathers Will. How does this prepare him for his ministry? Father guides His steps, directs Him to where He needs to be. Gives Him strength and power, through the Holy Spirit to heal, minister and to cast out demons. Why does Jesus minster through the power of the Spirit instead of in his own power? Because Jesus is now one of us, flesh. He has no power apart from what is given to Him from the Spirt. Because all power on earth comes from the Spirit, without the Spirit we have, can do, nothing. Love and Blessings to you all. Xx
  8. Your welcome. "ALL THINGS" work together. Father has graciously brought me through the storms of life, and placed my feet on solid ground, He is awesome. My life is in His hands, to do His will. ????
  9. Why do you think John the Baptist calls people a brood of vipers, a den of snakes? Because they are deceitful, cunning, and prideful. Seeking after their own self glory. They only came to him to see what he was doing and to mock him, not to repent. How did the Jews' religious pride in Abraham keep them from taking John's call for repentance seriously? Because of Fathers promise to Abraham, they thought that through Abraham they were safe from judgement, that they need not change their wicked ways. How could religious pride have that same effect on us? We can think that just because we have salvation through believing in Jesus Christ as our Lord and saviour, that, that is enough, that we dont have to change, or continue to repent and seek the help from the Holy Spirit to turn from sin, that we can carry on being selfish, and greedy with no severe consequences. In what way does sharing clothing and food with the poor constitute meaningful repentance? They are acts of compassion and mercy, it shows that we are no longer thinking about ourselves, but about those in need who have little or nothing. What ways do you find to do this in your everyday life? By giving to, helping and supporting people, who Father draws near, and giving to charity as the Spirit leads. Tax collectors were tempted to collect more than was due them. How does this same temptation show up in your line of work or education or home? I guess in daily life this can be seen when purchasing items of food or clothing. One company may charge you more than another for the same item. How will we know when we have repented? What are the fruits of genuine repentance? Willingness to be Obedient to Father, seeking after His heart. Humility, compassion, mercy, and grace towards others. Fairness, honesty, and justice. Contentment in what we have. How does discontent with our lot in life cause us to sin? What would constitute repentance in this circumstance? When people are discontent, they can fall in to the trap of seeking after money, people, and things for their happiness, and not after Father and the life that He has provided for them for their growth and maturity. They might become unfair in their trading, and charge more than they should. They might cheat and steal from the vulnerable, or those who are struggling. We need put down the love of money and material things, and turn away from selfishness and greed, and what we do have, when possible to do so, we should share what we have with those less fortunate. Love and Blessings to you all.. xx
  10. If people are always promoting themselves and pointing to how God is using them, what does that say about them? They may be seeking self glory, they may be feeling lonely, or left out. They might be riding on the back of christianity, for their own gain. About their sense of self-worth? About their maturity? They probably have low self esteem, and are still drinking spiritual milk, still learning, still being worked on. Their realism? They still have not grasped how the Father works, or what He expects from us. Their humility? If it is in Fathers will to use this person to bring Him glory, the person will be humbled, so that He can see clearly, the way of the Lord. What spiritual gifts has God given you, and how are you using them to his glory? A singing voice: I minister in song to different congregations in different denominations, singing praise and worship to Our Father. I also record songs and share them. Encouragement, Mercy, Hospitality, compassion, given to those who Father draws near. Visions and dreams. Healing to those who accept. All ministered in the precious name of Jesus Christ Our Lord and Saviour. To give Father all the glory and praise that He deserves, as a loving, faithful, magnificent, mighty, awesome, wonderful, Holy, and the list goes on, Creator. Love and Blessings to you all.. xx
  11. What are lessons do you learn from verse 11? That we dont get to choose the gifts we want or have, they are distributed to us by the Holy Spirit, according to Fathers will for our lives and purpose for our calling. He created us for His purpose and pleasure, therefore gives to us spiritual gifts according to His plan. What is the role of the Holy Spirit in spiritual gifts? He is the distributor. He knows exactly what we need when we need it, according to Fathers plan. Love and Blessings to you all. Xx
  12. In the twentieth century we saw the evangelistic power of preaching combined with healing the sick. Where in Jesus' ministry do you see this combination? That was the soul purpose of His ministry, to preach and heal wherever He went. Matthew 4:23 Jesus went throughout Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, proclaiming the good news of the kingdom, and healing every disease and sickness among the people. Where in Paul's ministry? Acts 14:5 Paul and Barnabas went to Lystra Acts 14:8 He was listening to Paul preach the gospel. When Paul saw that he had faith to be healed, Paul said in a loud voice: “Stand up straight on your feet!” The man jumped up and walked!! In Peter's ministry? Act 3:19 Peter heals the crippled beggar. In Philip's ministry? Acts 8:6-8 - Phillip went to the city of Samaria... 6 Crowds listened intently to Philip because they were eager to hear his message and see the miraculous signs he did. 7 Many evil spirits were cast out, screaming as they left their victims. And many who had been paralyzed or lame were healed. 8 So there was great joy in that city. Love and Blessings to you all. Xx
  13. Is it legitimate to use Jesus as our example in the use of spiritual gifts? Or was he so different than we are that we can't pattern our ministry after his example? Yes it is legitimate, because He is the reason why we have them. He sent the Holy Spirit to give us the power to carry on His work, and to do greater works, in His Name. All ministries are to be patterned on the examples of Jesus. Where do you see the gift of knowledge in the Old Testament? 2 Samuel 12 - Nathan knew all what David did to Uriah. The knowledge of what David did was given to Nathan from the Lord. In the New Testament? Acts 5 - when Ananias sold his house and deceitfully kept some of the money. The Holy Spirit gave Peter knowledge of this fact. Love and Blessings to you all.. xx
  14. How could a person have the spiritual gift of pastor or teacher without having an official position in a church? It is Father who calls us to a role that He requires us to serve in, He puts that desire on our hearts, gives us the qualifications, and leads us into position. He calls us to be Christ like, so that should also include seeking after all the gifts the Spirit has to offer, to serve our amazing Father. All roles, services are carried out in our everyday life, in our families, to those who our Father sends to us, to those we meet, all an opportunity to minister to, to shepherd, to serve, to comfort, to build up, to heal, to pray for. What must a church do if its "senior pastor" doesn't have the spiritual gift of pastor? It depends on the circumstances as to why the person was appointed as senior pastor in the first place. If I was for some reason appointed as a senior pastor, and I realised I did not have the gift for it, first I would express this to the church, ask them to lay hands on and pray for me, for a supernatural anointing, for help from the Holy Spirit, to give me the qualifications for this role. I would pray and ask Father if it is His will that I take, this role, or whether I should just concentrate on the areas that I am gifted in. Who gives these gifts? The Holy Spirit, whom the Father sent through the request of Our Lord Jesus Christ. Hallelujah?????? Love and Blessings to you all.. xx IN THE PRESENCE OF YOUR MAJESTY In the presence of Your Majesty I sit here and pray Thanking You Lord for yet another day To see all Your glory To feel Your sweet grace To feel uplifted for the trials I may face Lord Your love is amazing Your grace it justifies me To wake up each morning with You by my side What an awesome feeling of love Lord Your love is so amazing Lord Your grace in me justified For me to be here for just one more day Such mercy, grace, such love Lord I ask You for Your guidance I ask for Your will to be done I ask for You to lift me up to be seated with Your son Father Abba, You are holy Your happiness is my desire Shine Your blessed light in me Shine real bright so all may see You have promised me forever What an awesome gift to receive To walk with You in Your garden That is all I really need To cleanse my body in Your fountain To eat the fruits off Your trees Father all the gifts You have promised Please send them down to me So that I can help all Your lost children To bring them safely home to You For this is what You have asked of me Therefore this is what I must to do (Celia Porter 2013)
  15. How would you define the gift of prophecy? It is a gift to help and encourage others, to bring comfort, hope and peace, and warning. To build up, strengthen the body of Christ. Why do churches sometimes despise or prohibit prophecy? Maybe people in the past have used prophecy to abuse or control. Because they are unsure as to whether or not the person is actually hearing from the Lord. What guidelines does Paul give here and in 1 Corinthians 14 to keep prophecy in a congregation healthy? Everyone must seek the gift of prophecy. Have love for one another, so that prophesy can be used to build up. If there are tongues there should be interpretation. If there are tongues only 2 or 3 must speak, one at a time and someone must interpret. If there are no interpreters they must keep quiet in the church and speak to themselves or Father. 2 or 3 prophets may speak in turn, and the other decern what is being said. If a message is received it should shared for all to be instructed and encouraged Do not prohibit tongues. Love and Blessings to you all.. xx
  16. Why do you think God chose someone like John to be Jesus' forerunner? Father chose him for this work, before He formed him in his mothers womb. Elizabeth got pregnant, after being baron for so many years. He was a part of Fathers plan. How can we be sure that all our personal differences are part of God's plan and purpose? Because He told us so (Jeremiah 29:11) "for I know the plans I have for you" declares the Lord... We are fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14) Father formed us in our mothers womb, He knew us before we were born, and He appointed us to do His will. (Jeremiah 1:5) (Psalm 139:16), all the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be. Can't some be patterns of sinful reactions to past events? We are who we are, who Father made us to be. Our circumstances helped to form our character. (Let's resist the temptation to get too deep into the mystery of predestination. Grin.) John was raised in the desert. What kinds of circumstances has God used as a training ground for your preparation? Being saved from depression and suicide - Faith in Father that He is able, that nothing is impossible for Him. He is mighty to save. I am a mother of 5, grand mother to 9, spiritual mother to 2, Thank you Lord, I am blessed - looking out for the needs of others, putting others first. Sacrificial love. I grew up in a household where my parents argued a lot - I refuse to argue, and lose my temper, push all the buttons you like. Rape and abuse - Forgiveness. Losing my house and business - letting go and moving on, not storing up and holding on to things that can be taken away. A lot has happened since 2013, when I got saved, that has contributed to my faith and maturity in Christ Jesus, so many trials matched with equal victories. How dependent are you upon what others think and say about you? Not at all. I was bought at a great price, I depend on my Father, the sustainer of life. How can you change this without becoming callous? He has set you apart, you are blessed. Embrace and believe what the Father thinks and says about you in His Word. Spend time with Him and feel the love He has for you. You are special. What would you say to a person suffering from chronic guilt over past sins? If they have repentented, confessed to Our Father, and have asked Him for forgiveness, he is faithful to forgive, therefore you have been forgiven. His mercies are new every morning therefore tomorrow is a new day, leave that guilt in yesterday, and walk into the gift of a new beginning a new day, saying Father Your Will be done In my life today. How can guilt be healthy? It can turn us away from sin, stops us from committing the same sin again. How can guilt be unhealthy? If we are stressed by it, or if it burdens us with sorrow. Why is humbling (such as repentance and baptism in John's day) necessary to form disciples of Jesus? To step away from the old self, the old ways, to become a new, renewed, reformed, converted, changed. The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working(James 5:16) What kind of cutting, filling, straightening, and smoothing work has God been doing in your life? Over the past 7 years there has been a lot of the above. At the moment I feel that Father is taking me back to the beginning, Him and me, just basking in His presence. Sitting at Jesus' feet, while I enjoy doing these bible studies, learning more about Father, bellowing the flame. What does he still need to do? To continue working on me, guiding me, transforming me into who He wants me to be, for the service He has prepared me for. Why is this necessary preparation for disciples? Father knows what, how, who He wants me to be, so I trust He knows exactly what I need, and how to prepare me to serve Him, to bring Him honour and glory. Love and Blessings to you all.. xx
  17. What is the purpose of spiritual gifts according to 1 Corinthians 12:7? To help each other, to bring together to be profitable in the advance of Fathers kingdom. To assist, support, and encourage, to strengthen the Church, the body of Christ. According to Ephesians 4:11? For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ. What happens when people don't employ spiritual gifts for their intended purpose? The body will not mature, the ministry will be weak, and will not bear fruit. If we dont use them, we might lose them. Like with any gift or talent, practice makes perfect. Love and Blessings to you all.. xx
  18. How does the Holy Spirit produce this fruit in our lives? Some fruits are produced immediately, on believing and receiving the Holy Spirit. For me it was love, peace, kindness, gentleness, and goodness. Others are produced as we mature, as the Spirit guides us through life. Through the trials and tests we go through as we seek a life of righteousness in Christ Jesus. Joy was there for me at first, till I realised I was being left behind ?then it took a while to get use to this fact, for joy to return. ??? Patience was realised, and strengthened after being faced with people, or situations that tried it. As for self-control, and faithfulness, I fell flat on my face a few times to receive these. What theological term would you use to identify this process? Not sure if it is theological, but I call it Gods School, where our lessons are a series of life experiences, which are literally life changing, where you graduate with a masters of the Fruits of the Spirit. How can it be that a person who has been a "Christian" for years displays few or none of these fruits? Maybe some have not yet received the Holy Spirit. They believe for their own pleasure, or to please others, or believe that belief and faith is enough, so they dont need to change. Maybe some have lost the fire they had at first through bad doctrine, laziness, or selfishness, and no longer see the importance of being, renewed, remoulded and Spirit led. Maybe some have their minds still focused on the pleasures of this world, thinking they can do both, World and God. They are still walking after the flesh and not after the Spirit. Are they saved, but just immature? If they have received the Holy Spirit, maybe they are still immature, and maybe they have not studied enough, or have not been sharpened, by spirit led believers. What does James 2:17-19 say about this? That they have very little or no faith. That Faith is accompanied by action, a new way of life, a change of heart and mind. Without works, good deeds, faith is dead. Is that too harsh? No not at all. Love and Blessings to you all.. xx
  19. How does the Spirit enable us to resist the temptations of the flesh? By reminding us that we are the temple of the Most High. That we are spiritual beings, and He that is in us is greater, and much more important, than he that is in the world. How does He restrain us? The Holy Spirit comes with many gifts, such as self-control, Love, Joy, Peace, Kindness, Gentleness, tolerence, faithfulness, and decernment, in knowing what is right and what is wrong. We have also been given the Fear of The Lord, that should also help us to resist. How does he enable us to break the hold the flesh has had over us? By showing us the areas in our our lives where the flesh still has controll, so that we can pray on them accordingly, asking for deliverance. The Spirit gives us the power and the strength to overcome. It took some time to break the hold the flesh had over a certain area of my life, not by my strength nor might could I have done it. I admited to my weaknesses, and prayed, spoke to Father continuously, for His will to be done in my life, whatever it took, even if it meant death. For Father to take away all that is in me that should not be there. The Spirit was there working with me every step of the way, although this was not seen until I had overcome, then as I looked back I saw His amazing work, and faithfulness in delivering me from the lake of fire. He will place Fathers will and happiness to the front of our minds, it is the ignorance, state, condition of our flesh, at the time of temptation, and the desires of it, that pushes Fathers will out of the way, causing us to sin. Love and Blessings to you all.. xx
  20. What does it mean to "set the mind on the things of the flesh"? Making a priority, our own desires, fixing our hearts and minds on worldly things. What is involved in "setting the mind on the things of the Spirit"? Thinking about Our Father, making what He wants, and what is pleasing to Him a priority in our lives. What does it mean to have your mind "stayed" on Jesus? To never forget what Jesus did for us on the cross and why. To never forget where He has brought us from. To remember His teachings, and commands. Those who have their minds stayed on Jesus are able to live a life of peace, love, and understanding. How much of this requires will-power? We have to want the life Jesus is offering us. We have to see Him as more important and beneficial to follow, even with all the trials and tribulations, than to follow the ways of the world and what in the long run, the world has or has not to offer. How much does the Spirit assist us? It can not be achieved without the Spirit. When we submit to Fathers will and have our minds stayed on Jesus, the Holy Spirit is able to re-create us, renew our hearts and minds, till all that remains is Jesus and His desire. Can this become a habit as we practice it? As we submit daily to Fathers will, to keeping Our minds on Jesus, His teachings, His ways, and His character, the more it becomes a natural part of our daily lives. Love and Blessings to you all.. xx
  21. What does Paul mean by "the sinful nature" (NIV) or "the flesh" (ESV, KJV)? The part of us that does the things that we should not do. The part of us that goes against Fathers will, Law, commandments. The part of us that by itself does not have the capability, strength and power, to turn away from doing wrong. The part of us that justifies, glorifies doing wrong. The part of us that seeks self pleasure, and self desire. The part of us that has no regard for others. Is this ever eradicated? Some things are eradicated immediately, and some still have a stronghold on us and get removed overtime, as we grow, pray, and study The Word. After being filled with the Holy Spirit, I was healed from uveitus, and bronchitis. I immediately stopped smoking cigarettes and marijuana. I was on the verge of alcoholism, immediately I stopped drinking, but certain lusts of the flesh, took a while to overcome. But by the power of the Holy Spirit, in a series of fallen events, I overcame that too. Hallelujah, thank you Father Depression also took a while to disappear, it was not the same depression that was there before being saved. I was depressed because I had now been found, but left here on earth, a severe feeling of home sickness, I just wanted to be with my Father, where He is, which was blocking the joy, but He assured me that He would never leave me nor forsake me, and joy eventually appeared. I still feel homesick, and tears stream as I type, but I am where He wants me to be, for His plan, glory, purpose and pleasure. Hallelujah. Can there ever be victory over temptation? Yes most certainly. If you die to self, temptation has no power. Love and Blessings to you all. Xx This is what Father said to me during a sorrowful episode. Xx TIMES ARE GETTING TOUGH Times are getting tough my dear Times are getting tough I know you think the things you do Are nowhere near enough But I have plans for you my dear Do I have plans for you My plans are not to hinder you dear They are plans to get you through Love to the world my dear Give My love to the world Until My plan is revealed my dear Until your path is told Stress not your soul my dear Stress not your soul For your time comes not yet my dear So stay close to the fold I feel all your desires my dear I feel them with great joy I see the tears you cry my dear Could float an ocean buoy Although tears of sorrow my dear Soon to be tears of joy Because you know I AM coming for you my dear Hail Jesus - Clouds Ahoy (Message from Father 2014)
  22. What does it mean that Peter and the believers are "filled with the Holy Spirit" in these passages? They were giving power to speak with boldness, without the fear of being persecuted. Are they "re-filled"? Yes Is it possible for a believer to have many "fillings" of the Holy Spirit? Yes Why or why not? Sometimes we find ourselves in difficult positions, where we need that extra strength and power to get us through. I recall a day I was grilled about the Bible. The person didn't believe it was the word of God. They asked me numerous questions, some in a hostile manner, and the Holy Spirit gave me at that moment the strength and the power to answer, most of the time with love and compassion, and at other times it felt like it was with passion and fire, not once was I able to say, I don't know, Holy Spirit was there, with all the answers needed. It was this strength and power, a great sence of passion, excitement, love, and joy, that I always get when invited to minister, that after 5 hours of questions, and answers, parables and skits, the person started to understand more about the Bible, and its importance. Love and Blessings to you all. Xx
  23. The Holy Spirit comes upon new believers in both Caesarea and Ephesus accompanied by speaking in tongues (and prophecy and praise) like on the Day of Pentecost (Acts 2:4). Does He always come like this initially? As I received Jesus, people in the room said I was humming and it sounded angelic, but I have no recollection of this. As I was being filled with the Holy Spirit there was a distinct groaning/humming. No tongues as such, at that moment, but I knew I was in the presence of the Great I AM, there was warmth, Love, freedom, peace, rest, comfort, and joy, all I wanted to do was dance, a definite conversion from death to life. After my conversion there was no earthly support for me, just me and my Heavenly Father. I would go to bed and fall asleep repeating the Lords prayer, because that was all I knew. There was an amazing sence of the Lord laying next to me and me placing my head on His chest, which was soothing and comforting. Those early days were filled with prompts and nudges of certain literature I was directed to read and one of them was (Tongues: Beyond the Upper Room by Kenneth E. Hagin). Once I understood what it was, what it was for, I wanted it, so I asked Father for it and it was given to me. Hallelujah thank you Lord ??? What about the times when people are saved in the New Testament but tongues aren't mentioned? In Acts 8 the people of Samaria received the Word and believed yet the Holy Spirit had not yet fallen on them, it was only when Peter and John went and placed their hands on them that they received the Holy Spirit, but there was no mention of tongues, but there must have been some sort of sign to confirmed they had received Him. Are they filled with the Spirit also? I believe there are many people then and today who have accepted the Word, accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Saviour, ie said the sinners prayer, but sadly have not received the gift of the infilling of the Holy Spirit as yet. Love and Blessing to you all.. xx
  24. Why does John need to remind us that we have "overcome" the world? To remind us of the strength and power that is within us, the gift from YHWH, the Holy spirit. To remind us that we too have the same authority that Jesus had when He was on the earth. That the power within us is much, much greater than the ruler of this earth, he has already been defeated. For us today, as we see the world plunging into darkness, he reminds us of our hope in Christ Jesus, that even though He was in the world, and lived here amongst man, He was not of the world, relying on the material things to get Him by, His only desire was to teach Father will, give hope, save lives, and return back to Abba, who provided everything for Him, as He did for the hebrews in the wilderness, and so shall He provide for us, His children also. For there is coming a time when the world will order us to worship, worldly treasures, their gods, the prince of this world, just to buy food, to live, to survive. But Father has promised to take care of us, just like He takes care of the birds of the air. And there is hope in the promise of a life of eternity, with Our Heavenly Father, even after earthly death. Is the potential power of the Holy Spirit within you less than the power in the Apostle Paul. What might be the factors that seem to limit our sense of power? The power is no less. It is the same Holy Spirit. Factors that seem to limit our sense of power? Sin, guilt, unforgiveness of self, feeling unworthy, which are all weapons that the enemy will use to stop us from reaching our full potential in Christ Jesus. Not having the boldness to approach people, or the faith that we can actually do all these things, healing and deliverance. Not studying this area enough, from being caught up with people who claim that these things were for them in that time, not in ours. Not being around like minded bible believing, Holy Spirit filled, led people, like our dear Dr Ralph, who are able to sharpen and encourage us. Love and Blessings to you all. Xx
  25. What does the Holy Spirit as a "seal of ownership" teach us? That we have been adopted, and now belong to Abba, we have been set apart, to do the work He calls us to do. We were bought at a great price. What does the Spirit as a "down payment" teach us? That receiving the Holy Spirit is just the glorious beginning of all that there is to receive as children of YHWH, a taste of what it is like to live in His Glorious presence, knowing that with each payment we will be taken from glory to glory. Thank you Father. When is the full payment made in this analogy? When Christ returns, we shall meet Him in the air. Our bodies will be changed into His glorious body, and we will be in Fathers glorious presence for ever, and ever, Amen. What does the Spirit as an "anointing" teach us? That Father has set us apart. We are called to do His work, His will. We were chosen to be His, to be used by Him for His purpose, for His pleasure, to bring Him glory, honour, and praise. He deserves it all. Love and Blessings to you all. Xx
