  1. Having knowledge that God has taken over our battle and that He has given us victory help us depend on Him if in the worse scenario. Timidity and brashness makes us loose out on what rightly belongs to us. God will not fight for us if we push him out of our fight. He steps in when we acknowledge and welcome him.
  2. Jesus did not call on the heavenly host because He understand that the battle is not to be won with military might. It's a battle He and him alone will fight and won alone through perseverance and submission to the will of the father. He will call on the heavenly host in his return on the day of judgement.
  3. Elisha 's servant was afraid because he could not see spiritual things around him. His spiritual eyes were not open. The difference between the two is that Elisha's spiritual eyes were opened unlike his servant. It takes walking with the God and the Holy Spirit for our eyes to be opened. We are encouraged that greater is He that is in us than in the world.
  4. 'The commander is The Almighty' and does not need to be on any one's side, rather Joshua, the people of Israel and by extension us should be the one to strive to be on His side. Joshua felt the presence of God the Man of War during the encounter and was assured of victory after the encounter. The significance is that the we need to align our plans to God's cause and not the other way round.
  5. The titles 'King of glory and Father of glory' as seen from the two scriptural passages, portray the strength, might, and wholesomeness of God. It makes us understand His nature as one who fills everywhere. As we behold Him, through worship, prayers, studying his words, His glory permeates, spills over us, envelope us and will gradually change our nature from one level of glory to another. According to 2 Cor 3 :18.
  6. Is amazing to realize that God, who is above all, in majesty and exalted position, who reigns supreme and dwells in eternity still humbles himself as to relate with men, even in our debased state. What a love. Knowing I have a God who is above all, why will I be afraid what men shall do unto me. If this great God, 'the high and lofty one' be for me, who can be against me.
  7. The title 'Most high' relates to the exalted position of our God. It calls to mind the supremacy and overwhelming majesty of God. That He alone is God and there's no other. Bearing that in my will lead me to the right approach in worship. He alone deserves our total honour, submission and loyalty.

  9. They both believe that God Most High is the creator of heaven and earth. They both believe that God Most High has the absolute power to deliver and to save us from every enemy. They both believe that God Most High has the power to bless and enrich us. They both believe that God Most High rules in the affairs of men. I believe too
