  1. As we live a life built on trusting God no matter the circumstances, the world can see His Works fulfilled. Then they can desire what it is that lives in us.
  2. Adoption by God frees us from carrying the birth family burden or disfunction. His plan can take us to a new freedom.
  3. To be on the path of God's will and learning by His guidance so that we can lead others to a relationship with God. Identify with being a piece of God's puzzle and see others as the same, even as we are different to come together as the church.
  4. I don't feel fear in these words at all. My interpretation is that God made the path for a relationship for all of His creations. Some of us will choose that path, some will not. Will we walk in trust or keep taking over the wheel? Other's won't even acknowledge God at all and live as though the world is about them.
  5. To be In Christ is to reflect on His word and will then be a guiding light that can draw others to desire what it is they see in me. When just the right words come OR as important, I am silenced, in daily situations I know that it is the Holy Spirit working.
  6. (Exodus 3:10-12) Does Moses' response to God's call reflect a low self image, true humility, or lack of faith? How does God reassure him? How does God reassure us when we are called to impossible situations? I think Moses' response is true humility. Having God come face to face with you is about as humbling as it gets. God's words to Moses and to us is always to to trust Him.
  7. What do we learn about Moses' motivations, character, and leadership ability from the incident of him killing the cruel Egyptian taskmaster? What positive things do you see in his character? What negative things do you discern? The fact that Moses looked "this way and that way" before murdering symbolizes that he is torn between both worlds, nationalities, and doesn't want to be caught as he acts on his emotion. He lives a physically comfortable life but still in conflict with his true identity. Moses is not yet heeding to the voice of God and still struggling in his human limitation and knowledge. The incident took Moses from his given comfort zone and made him rely on God to accomplish God's will. Our lesson here is that God can and will make the changes in us to accomplish His purpose and the perspective is often very different than the worldly view.
