What did it mean that John was sent to “testify” to the light? In what sense are you put here with the purpose of “testifying” to the light? How are you doing in this regard? What happened to John the Baptist? What might happen to you if you testify clearly? What might happen to the people to whom you testify? John the Baptist was sent, by God, to tell people about the light and pave the way for Christ ministry. So mankind could to receive the light. John was imprisoned and beheaded. As Christians we are to be like a beacon on a hill so others can see the light. We are to spread the Good News. If I testify clearly and share the Good News others might come to know Christ. I do not do this well.

According to the Apostle John, is Jesus fully God? What does it mean that Jesus is the “Word”? What does this say about him and his ministry? Before the world was created, the Word already existed and God created all things through Him. The Word was the source of life and brought light to mankind. The Word became flesh. His ministry was Gods words through Him that we may come to the Father through Him, the Word.
