Why are the church leaders in Antioch seeking God through corporate prayer and fasting? The church special time of seeking the Lord together. It isn't a human-focused "revival" to save souls or return backsliders; it is focused on Jesus, on drawing close to him and listening to him. Biblical knowledge of God is not enough the church need a practical knowledge which only come through fellowship and communication by prayers. How does God respond to their seeking ? God respond by speakings to them via the prophet and prophetess. He gave the church directives on who to send for mission and who to keep. Thus He directed "Seperet me Paul and Banabase for the work I call them" Why do you think we don't do more of this sort of thing today? We don't do more of this sort of thing because of self wisdom that have taken over the worship of Christ today, Again lack of knowledge of the apostolic doctrine and method. Finally may have refuse mentorship by good mentor. Only a man properly discipled can know this. Like me despite my many years in the Lord this my first time hearing this. What was the importance of this to the church at large? For growth. For successful mission and for good representation of Christ this communion with God by fasting and praying is very important.

Struggle is divine streng given to an ambitious person to keep him moving until he comes to the point of rest. This was the nature of Paul until he comes to the purpose of his calling. Patience is very important because every God purpose is for time and season and time and season is concomitant to event. Paul have to wait patiently to the understanding of his calling. Period of Spiritual formation is so important to future leader because the need directions so as not to fight against God like Peter who did not see it wise, the salvation of the gentiles untill he got a director. The apostle would not have accepted Paul and his gospel of Christ if not by by divine direction. To listen to God voice is the only way a disciple of Christ can do what he is call to do. In listening he will get directions and right thing to do. If God do not reveal his mind to man it will be impossible for man to know and please God.

Paul can't be a good disciple he is not discipled therefore Ananias was send to Paul disciple him and introduce him in to the Christ family. Ananias asked to know not to doubt. His questions help in understanding the ministry and true salvation of Paul. God have always use man to mediate between man to man. It takes courage to obey God's will especially where a danger is perceived. It is evidence of total surrender to his will and once reading to count his or her life nothing for Christ. Ananias, went and getting the he called him "brother Paul" he laid hand on him and said received your sight. God has send me to you by vission to pray for you to have your sight back and be filled with the Holy spirit. Yes I have had the leadings to minister to people. Many a times I don't because of fear and lack of courage.
