  1. Q8. (James 1:26-27) Why does James make taming the tongue and caring for the poor the prime tests of pure religion? Why not the quality of our quiet time or worship? If we give something to our relatives, they would return it back. But if we help poor people, they can't pay us back and our little help would be very big to them. And the main thing in this is that we should never boast about our giving. Whoever helps the poor, lends the Lord - Proverbs 19:17 We should spend more time with God. But taming our tongue and helping the poor proves our love for God.
  2. Q7. (James 1:25) What is this “perfect law” that James mentions? How would you define it? How does it relate to the “royal law” (James 2:8)? In what sense does it bring liberty? Mathew 22:37 Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. Mathew 22:39 Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. These are the perfect law. There is no comparison to God's love for us. Because of Love our savior and King Jesus gave his holy blood for us. Love forgives, Love never keeps record of wrong. Love gives life. So prefect love is the perfect law. All the ten commandments of the Lord come under this perfect law. There is no fear in love but perfect love casts out fear. Love is greater than sins. God is love. When we come to Jesus we have liberty.
  3. Q6. (James 1:22) Why are we so easily fooled into thinking that listening to Bible teaching means that we are living out righteous lives? What is the nature of the self-deception? We here the Word of God everyday or atleast once a week. We know the Word but if we fail to walk in the Lord's Word, we are like the one that was planted on rocky places.
  4. Q5. (James 1:18) In what sense are we given spiritual birth by the “word of truth”? What does spiritual life have to do with the Word? Word of truth gives us Faith through our Lord Jesus Christ. When we accept Jesus and his word, we undergo spiritual birth. In the beginning the Word was with God. God created the world with his Word. We, his children should obey his Word and walk in his ways.
  5. Q4. (James 1:5-8) What is the promise to claim in verse 5? What is the condition attached to this promise in verse 6? How do trials help us receive this wisdom? The promise to claim in verse 5 is that if we lack wisdom, we should ask God. We should ask without doubt. Any prayer we make, we should ask with faith without doubt. Trials bring us to Jesus and our Lord God would bless us with wisdom.
  6. Q3. (James 1:5-8) How do trials help cure us of “doublemindedness”? How do trials help us grow in faith? We know that our Lord is mighty, he saves and protect us. Because of trials, huge pain, current circumstances or surroundings, people may be double-minded and lack faith. But knowing that our Lord Jesus is with us we can easily overcome such doublemindedness. Trials reveal us that Our Lord Jesus is mighty and our savior will save us. And it increases our faith more and more.
  7. Q2. (James 1:13-15) Why do people blame God for evil? Does God tempt us with evil? Does he tempt sinful people with evil? Why does he allow people to sin? Why does he allow evil to exist at all? People don't want to admit their guilt. They just pretend that it's not their fault and they didn't realise their sin. God never tempt us with evil. God never tempt sinful people with evil. Our God desires for the salvation of all even sinful ones. Because of people's evil desires and ****, God left them. God keeps a timing for everything. He says that leave the tares untill harvesting as it may harm good crops. So God has his time to destroy evil.
  8. Trials brought me close to Jesus. Our Lord God is with me in every trials. Some trials broked my heart into pieces. But Our Lord Jesus build my heart. He molded me into a new one. Jesus sanctified me and is sanctifying me more.
  9. People didn't realise their own mistake and they just show that they are not guilty. No, God never tempt us with evil and he won't give us trials. Our Lord Jesus wants us to be happy. But it is Satan, the evil one who pushes us into tribulations. No, God want each and everyone of us to be saved. He want the sinful to repent. God didn't allow people to sin. People fell into sin because of their own ****. God has a season and time for everything. He would destroy sins in his time.
  10. I know that my Lord is mighty. He will deliver me from all tribulations. I know he is in me and with me. I was broken in some scenarios but my Lord strengthened me.
