  1. 1. What is the basis on which Hezekiah asks for healing? He doesn’t want to die, who does? We weren’t created for death, but eternal life. So it’s only natural he wants to live. Also he wants to continue to do good for the nation of Israel, so he reminds Abba of his faithful and wholehearted devotion. 2. Why is personal righteousness and holiness important in getting your prayers answered? God pours out rain on the wicked and the righteous. He loves all creation, but when we are born again and receive the gift of righteousness from Jesus, God loves to answer those prayers. 3. How can unrighteousness prevent answered prayer if all gifts from God are by grace anyway? If your not walking in the gift of righteousness of Christ and walk unrighteously doing wrong, you will be asking with wrong or selfish motives that do not line up with Abba’s will, promises or the truth of His Word. But one thing I do know is that my God is merciful.
  2. 1. Why is Hezekiah's healing important for his nation? Because he was mostly a good king and would continue to do good with God’s help. If he died the nation could get another evil king who would lead the people astray and away from God. 2. How did it relate to God's promises to David? God promised an unbroken line of David's sons upon the throne. Hezekiah is also appealing those promises for his life, to continue the good work for the nation.
  3. 1. How do the first two sentences of Hezekiah's prayer (verse 15) correspond to the first sentence of the Lord's Prayer? He lifts his vision off the problem and exalts Abba dearest by speaking the truth about who his God is: ‘O LORD, God of Israel, enthroned between the cherubim, you alone are God over all the kingdoms of the earth. You have made heaven and earth’ 2. How are they important to faith? I cannot have faith in a God I don’t know, so it’s important for me to get to know God through His Holy Word, having communion, speaking with Him, appreciating the wonderful covenant of grace Jesus bought for me with His blood and body and appropriating all those precious revelations into my abundant life He won for me. O how precious is my Saviour! 3. How are they important to God answering the prayer? If I magnify my problems they consume me with fears and worries but if I magnify Abba dearest over my problems believing He is able and nothing is to hard for him, this faith pleases Him, even as small as a mustard seed. He is ALWAYS FAITHFUL and cares deeply for my safety. I am assured of deliverance and victory in every circumstance because greater is He who is in me than he who is in the world amen 🙏🏼
  4. 1. What is the significance of Hezekiah spreading out the enemy's message before the Lord? When we are being bombarded with demonic lies, take those words to God, for it is He who shields our head in the day of battle and helps us think clearly and declare His Word into our situations A psalm of David. 1 Rescue me, Lord, from evildoers; protect me from the violent, 2 who devise evil plans in their hearts and stir up war every day. 3 They make their tongues as sharp as a serpent’s; the poison of vipers is on their lips. 4 Keep me safe, Lord, from the hands of the wicked; protect me from the violent, who devise ways to trip my feet. 5 The arrogant have hidden a snare for me; they have spread out the cords of their net and have set traps for me along my path. 6 I say to the Lord, “You are my God.” Hear, Lord, my cry for mercy. 7 Sovereign Lord, my strong deliverer, you shield my head in the day of battle. 8 Do not grant the wicked their desires, Lord; do not let their plans succeed. 9 Those who surround me proudly rear their heads; may the mischief of their lips engulf them Psalm 140:1-9 2. What is the underlying principle illustrated here? Go to God first for wisdom, guidance, help and wait for Him to show you the way through. 3. How can we apply this principle to our own lives? Take everything to Abba dearest first. And after doing everything you know to do - Stand in faith and see the deliverance of my God! Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand Ephesians 6:13 4. What happens when we don't apply this principle? We have negated God’s help and taken it upon ourselves to try and resolve - man made efforts. But there is hope in Christ Jesus, because he promises to turn everything together for good, even our mistakes, yes in all things Romans 8:28
  5. 1. Why is a person's attitude with regard to giving related to that person's attitude towards praise? Mark 12:41-44 comes to mind- The Widow’s Offering 41 Jesus sat down opposite the place where the offerings were put and watched the crowd putting their money into the temple treasury. Many rich people threw in large amounts. 42 But a poor widow came and put in two very small copper coins, worth only a few cents. 43 Calling his disciples to him, Jesus said, “Truly I tell you, this poor widow has put more into the treasury than all the others. 44 They all gave out of their wealth; but she, out of her poverty, put in everything—all she had to live on. She is an example of giving her all out of her nothing which is of more value in the eyes of Messiah 2. Why does an attitude of possessiveness with regards to giving get in the way of worship? Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven Matthew 5:3 You can be rich or poor but it’s acknowledging that God has given you what you already have, so being thankful is the right attitude and releasing it back to God so it can be used wisely to advance the Kingdom of God and also be good stewards with what He gives you to use at church, home, in the workforce or any other place you attend, also being generous in our relationships, especially generously thanking and worshipping God from when it all came. 3. In what sense do all your possessions belong to God? God’s word of TRUTH teaches us so: [For the earth is the Lord’s, and all it contains 1 Corinthians 10:26, The earth is the Lord’s, and all it contains, the world, and all those that live in it Psalm 24, The silver is Mine and the gold is Mine,’ declares the Lord of hosts Haggai 2:8, For every beast of the forest is Mine, the cattle on a thousand hills Psalm 50:10] 4. What then should be your relationship to your possessions? Be a vessel of freely receiving and freely releasing as He guides. 5. How will these truths re-energize your giving? Your praise? All I have came from you Lord, I have no lack because of your gracious mercy. Remove any blockages hindering me from the receiving of your provisions and the release of those precious things to where they are meant to go. Stop me from being stingy, mean-hearted and selfish for I am your child and don’t want to dishonour your generous heart by being mean. Give me the grace of giving in Jesus name I ask amen 🙏🏼
  6. 1. Verses 11 and 12 both attribute various characteristics to God, such as glory, honor, and might. How might you begin to mention God's greatness in your own prayers? Abba dearest your so glorious, light surrounds you, your preciousness is so overwhelming. I am undone by the constant release of your goodness upon my life. You are my treasure and delight. I rejoice in the wonders of who you are! Wow, you blow my carnal thinking out of my brain and saturate me with the mind of Christ. Truely your my saviour, my ancient of days. I glory in who you are! Awesome in might and power. Tremendous in justice and righteousness. Your perfection displayed through Christ’s death and resurrection overwhelms me with incredible gratitude by this magnification of the demonstration of your love for me. With the fruit of my lips, I praise you now and forever more. Be exalted, yes be exalted Holy One of Israel. Let your glories resound throughout the earth for your honour, renown and praise. Hallelujah, you Reign! 2. Where is this kind of praise found by example in the Lord's Prayer? By hallowing His name and declaring and celebrating the truth of His Kingdom plans for my salvation, reconciliation and His desire to have a deeply personal and intimate relationship with me. Wow 🤩 3. What are your favorite songs that point to God's greatness? At the moment God is speaking to me through Georgia and Winnie Banov songs: The “Blisstronica”albums. He wants me to celebrate, receive and enjoy all that He is!
  7. 1. In what way does praise exalt God? It places Abba dearest in His Rightful place in my life, enthroned as my King of Glory 2. Why should we exalt God? Because He is worthy of my exalting praise for everything He is and does is perfect, holy, righteous and full of joy. To acknowledge who He is, is my way of being grateful for all He is to me personally and to magnify Him over my life completely. 3. What does this exaltation do in us? It positions me in a place of humble submission to His absolute Fatherhood over my life as my Elohim-creator. 4. What does it say about us? If I cannot praise or thank Him, it means I don’t know Him in this area of worship. Knowing Him flows out from within my belly living waters of devotion and adoration because I have experienced His abundant life and I am so grateful for Him saving me.
  8. 1. In what way do our praises bless God? Praising God is a free-will offering response to the revelation knowledge I’ve received and actually have experienced in my own personal life. 2. What do we precious saints have that God desires in a blessing? “Thankfulness” by acknowledging His released glorious goodness in it’s many forms, especially all of what Jesus has done on the cross for me. 3. What are prayers like, that don't include blessing God? They are soulish and have no Spirit nor Life in them. Usually self absorbed
  9. I love the way you have written and spoken this with your heart of love for Abba dearest, Royk
  10. 1. What about the author's description of the Son makes you think that the Son described is himself divine? Everything! By faith the Holy Spirit witnesses into my being the truth of God’s Word Jesus is ABBA’s only begotten son and Heir of all things He was always with Abba and Holy One as they made the universe, earth and humans together He is exact representation and radiance of ABBA’s glorious being and proved it as He walked on earth as a human/spiritual being by sustaining all things by His Word which is powerful. He dealt with sin and the devil and now He’s seated in heaven at the right hand of the Majesty 2. What role does the Son have in doing the Father's will according to these verses? “Holy, Purifier, Caring, Provider, Teacher, Victorious, Warrior, Saviour” I’d say his character role revealed here is that’s it the heart of God to save humanity from sin. He is provider of purification for sins. His holiness demands sin and the devil- be dealt with. Although God, Jesus cared enough about me/us to leave heaven, was birthed through the virgin Mary by the power of the Holy Spirit. By His human daily fellowship with Abba He taught me/us how to live in the Spirit supernaturally by abiding in the Way, the Truth and the Life by faith. He revealed that there was nothing He wouldn’t do for me/us once and for all to fix the sin and devil issue plaguing mankind. He’s my/our overcoming victorious warrior! Only a divine loving God - Himself could do this.... I am/we are so loved 🥰
  11. 1. What does it mean to have a broken heart and spirit? It’s allowing the Holy Spirit to expose my old nature that’s manifesting, that inmost being of mine that’s hiding secret sins, false images, idolatry etc and co-operating with Him, my Spirit of Grace who helps me to truely repent with Godly sorrow. 2. Why is this essential in the prayer for pardon? Without the Holy One, my helper I could be walking in deception, lies and thus grieving Abba dearest. His heart is for me to walk uprightly with Him. 3. In what sense is this a "sacrifice"? For me it’s coming to a realisation that in and of myself I can’t change or fix myself and need to humbly, yet boldly come to God’s throne of mercy and receive His grace to help me move forward in His Lovely gift of Righteousness. 4. Why do we tend to resist a "broken and contrite heart" in ourselves? Fear of being exposed and vulnerable or seen as a sinner. Yet deep down desperately wanting to be righteous and able to have an intimate relationship with Abba dearest and others.
  12. 1. Is it possible to have a pure heart? Yes, by receiving the truth of God’s word, the truth of who God says we are because of what Jesus did on the cross for us all. 2. How does God bring about a pure heart? By faith in my Lord. If He has made me pure, I am pure, my heart is pure. Sin tries to rob us of this truth wanting to keep us in the lies that we are no longer new creations. But hallelujah we are new creations! 3. What is our part in this? By .....humbly accepting the word planted in you, which can save you. By not merely listening to the word, and so deceive yourselves. But do what it says for anyone who listens to the word but does not do what it says is like someone who looks at his face in a mirror and, after looking at himself, goes away and immediately forgets what he looks like. But whoever looks intently into the perfect law that gives freedom, and continues in it—not forgetting what they have heard, but doing it—they will be blessed in what they do James 1:21b-25
  13. 1. In his prayer does David seek to minimize his sins? No, once he was convicted by God and all was exposed, he willingly acknowledged his sin and could hide it no longer. 2. To maximize them? David clearly expresses his deep sorrow to God because as He sinned against Bathsheba and Uriah he was actually sinning against God. Basically you harm others, then you are grieving God who is there creator. 3. Why does an authentic prayer for pardon require clear, unvarnished acknowledgement of sin to be effective? Without conviction there can be no real confession of sin, thankfully now under the new covenant....... ‘the grace of God has appeared that offers salvation to all people. It teaches us to say “No” to ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives in this present age, while we wait for the blessed hope—the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ, who gave himself for us to redeem us from all wickedness and to purify for himself a people that are his very own, eager to do what is good’ Titus 2:11-14
  14. 1. By actually being a living sacrifice, keeping in view God’s mercy, to offer my body body as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to Him for this is my true and proper, yes spiritual act of worship. By not conforming to the pattern of this world, but being transformed by the renewing of my mind, so I am enabled to test and approve what Abba’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will. Also by not thinking of myself more highly than I ought, but rather with sober judgment, in accordance with the faith God has distributed to me. Romans 12:1-3 I humble myself before Abba dearest, reach out with my whole being, trusting in the wonderful knowledge of who he is. Gracious, kind, loving, merciful, forgiving, wise and my instructor going forward. 2. My increasing knowledge as I grow as a Christian to know God. This was Jesus prayer for us all: ‘Now this is eternal life, that they may know you, the only true God and Jesus Christ whom you have sent.’ John 17:3 I will not have faith in a God who I don’t know. 3. Consequently, faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word about Christ Romans 20:17 Also to pray for the gift of faith 1 Corinthians12:9a
  15. 1. The Parable of the Tenants “Listen to another parable: There was a landowner who planted a vineyard. He put a wall around it, dug a winepress in it and built a watchtower. Then he rented the vineyard to some farmers and moved to another place. When the harvest time approached, he sent his servants to the tenants to collect his fruit. The tenants seized his servants; they beat one, killed another, and stoned a third. Then he sent other servants to them, more than the first time, and the tenants treated them the same way. Last of all, he sent his son to them. ‘They will respect my son,’ he said. But when the tenants saw the son, they said to each other, ‘This is the heir. Come, let’s kill him and take his inheritance.’ So they took him and threw him out of the vineyard and killed him. Therefore, when the owner of the vineyard comes, what will he do to those tenants? “He will bring those wretches to a wretched end,” they replied, “and he will rent the vineyard to other tenants, who will give him his share of the crop at harvest time.” Jesus said to them, “Have you never read in the Scriptures: ‘The stone the builders rejected has become the cornerstone; the Lord has done this, and it is marvelous in our eyes’ ? Therefore I tell you that the kingdom of God will be taken away from you and given to a people who will produce its fruit. Anyone who falls on this stone will be broken to pieces; anyone on whom it falls will be crushed. Matthew 21:33-44 2. Because he is not a servant, but an heir
  16. 1. He shows me that the desires of God’s heart is in Abraham........ “instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance” 2 Peter 3:9b 2. Why is persistence necessary in prayer? Some prayers take longer to answer due to the spiritual warfare surrounding the situation. A breakthrough is needed. 3. Have you ever experienced "praying through"? What was it like? Yes I have. I get a release in my spirit telling me it’s done.
  17. 1. Do you think Abraham's boldness pleased God? Why or why not? Yes, because Abraham interacted/communicated with God all through the intercession. He didn’t just plough ahead ignorantly, but brought to the forefront and magnified God’s amazing qualities - Just, fair, righteous, merciful, kind, wise etc 2. What might cause God to take delight in your prayers to him? It delight’s Abba dearest when I come to Him when firstly I ask Him how I should pray about a situation, by the Holy Spirit because then I am seeking His ways and thoughts about the intercession, and not praying out of my soul willy-nilly kinda hoping God will do anything.
  18. 1. By speaking to God with an attitude of respect, humility and honour that also allowed Abraham to also freely come boldly to speak to Abba dearest about anything that was troubling him. He knew that God was approachable, compassionate and merciful as well as just, righteous and fair and His final judgement would be full of wisdom and discernment about the WHOLE situation. 2. God calls us to come to Him, rely on Him and at the same time, revere and respect Him for who He is - God, our creator. So.... Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need Hebrews 4:16 All of you, clothe yourselves with humility toward one another, because, “God opposes the proud but shows favor to the humble.” Humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time. Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you 1 Peter: 5b-7
  19. 1. If God was expecting Abraham to raise his descendants in what is just and right, then so would God also behave in like manner. 2. Abraham knew God intimately - that his character was just and righteous, he would not destroy the righteous with the wicked, but be a compassionate and merciful judge.
  20. 1. By praying His word, the truth, reminding Abba that He is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness, that indeed he is patient with us and thank Him for not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance, then ask Him for people to be given grace to repent and saved out of the troubling situation they are in 2 Peter 3:9 Yes this is how I would pray 🙏🏼 in accordance with who He is - immutable 2. Nothing is impossible or to hard for God so I won’t put Him in a box by saying, “no” outrightly. But I do believe He has made known the mystery of ‘His Will’ to us in Christ Jesus Ephesians 1:9 ‘The Word’ teaches us scripture is God breathed, so also should our breath words be in prayer. For example if your praying for someone to die cause they are a dirty rotten scumbag to you, it’s not God’s will, so try again.... pray for their salvation and ways to minister God’s kindness to them.
  21. 1. By believing that nothing you say or do can change the circumstances because you think God’s not going to listen or care about how you feel about the situation, that He’s going to do what He wants because He’s already determined my fate so I may as well just accept it! And this is so wrong, because God absolutely loves to hear us His children’s voices speaking to Him. Prayer is simply talking to our Abba dearest about any topic, deep concerns or even just to say good morning. O how precious is that! 2. Deterministic - Que sera, sera, what will be will be and there is no changing it. To me this seems like a defeatist attitude before you even started to pray.
  22. 1. As a priest of God Most High I am to intercede to my King of Glory for the sinful, lost, dying, sick, weak, lonely, heartbroken, fearful, untrusting etc people who need our beloved Saviour Jesus reminding Him that they are His creations, His own people and it’s not His desire to see anyone perish. “The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.” 2 Peter 3:9 To thank Him for His mercy and gracious love for all mankind, reminding Him of Jesus’s words from the from the cross when He said, “Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing.” Luke 23:34 2. I love this encouraging example/pattern to follow so as to state my case and reason with the Lord. Because the Israelites are God's own people Because of God's reputation among the heathen Because of God's promises Because of God's character Because of God's consistent mercy 3. I believe it’s wise to ask God how to pray according to His will for each situation as each individual is complex and has different needs. He then lays on my heart the right scriptures for the situation and downloads His hearts desire for the person. Also I believe praying in tongues as led by the Holy Spirit is one of the greatest ways to intercede for a situation especially if the persons deep needs are private, confidential or shameful. I find God protects us from exposing these things so as not to embarrass us, especially for example, say a man needs deliverance from *********** or a woman who has been raped etc. 4. Studying and getting to know the Holy Bible, is getting to know Abba, Jesus and Holy One, for they are the Word, for the Lord our God is one. So to me this is how God fulfils this promise/word in our lives: “This is the covenant I will establish with the people of Israel after that time, declares the Lord. I will put my laws in their minds and write them on their hearts. I will be their God, and they will be my people.” Hebrews 8:10 So with the Word in my mind and written on my heart I can follow Jesus my High Priest and intercede aright according to His Kingdom come and will being done amen as He guides me. 5. God warned me years ago about praying out of your soul - “soulish prayers” which come from the flesh, the old man, under the old covenant of law. We are to pray by and through the Holy Spirit - “Spirit led prayers” if we are to be in the will of God and operate out of His glorious Kingdom, under the new covenant of grace.
  23. 1. They didn’t wait on the Lord and their faith and trust dissolved and the short time they did wait for Moses to return grew into impatience. (It is through faith and patience the promises are manifested) This led to a spiralling down of their behaviour into seeking a false god/idol to worship. It shows me that deep down the heart of man corrupt as it, (until born again of the Holy Spirit) still longs for and seeks God to worship, adore, cherish and celebrate. If only they had waited and trusted…. 2. Well look how angry us humans get at others who do wrong by us! God is pure Righteousness, so of course He’s going to get mad at us who delve into sinful behaviours. Praise God we have Jesus who bore all our past, present, future sins on the cross and God’s wrath has been poured out on Messiah once and for all, for us who are born again are no longer under His righteous anger or wrath. We are under grace, favour, righteousness and blessed! Hallelujah 3. Yes of course Abba dearest is justified and this is a lovely picture of His hearts desire for us all as eventually He did do that with us who are born again, praise the Lord… “But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light. 1 Peter 2:9
  24. 1. I don’t continually ask for forgiveness as it makes me sin conscious and puts me under the power of the law and condemnation. I am now under grace. I find it’s better to continually be thankful. All my sins have been dealt with on the cross, once and for all, past, present and future. If I make a mistake I say sorry to Abba and ask for His help to do the right thing next time. 2. Unforgiveness to me is a process of allowing God to heal you as you slowly forgive the person who wronged you. 3. I am totally, completely and fully forgiven by the FINISHED work of Jesus on the cross. God’s wrath was poured on on Jesus for all my sins there, even sins of unforgiveness. I am a new creation. Nothing stops, blocks or hinders God’s love, blessings or mercy towards me.
  25. 1. If your one who has been brought up by parents who tell you never to ask for help or borrow from others and that your on your own, then this training can influence your decision making on the future believing it’s wrong to ask for help and even worse no one wants to help you. A healthy relationship is being able to give and receive mutually. 2. People who don’t know God do it naturally because it’s the way they were brought up. But once you are born again and get to know Him you never want to be independent nor apart from Him. If you make mistakes along the journey going the wrong way, He is gracious to us in Christ to steer us back into His loving arms. How blessed are we? 3. Daily bread is not just about a job and money to buy bread, it’s daily intimate communion with Him our true bread from heaven enjoying everything pertaining to life with Jesus. It’s asking for complete Shalom - nothing missing, nothing broken, healing and so much more.
