  1. At present Jesus is seated at the right hand of God interceding for us. He will ultimately succeed in defeating His enemies as well as ours. The primary role of the Priest is to administer and minister in the Temple according to the principles of holiness. The priests were responsible for anything inside the Holy Place or the Holy of Holies. They dealt with the brunt offering altar, had oversight over the various offerings and sacrifices, kept the lamp burning on the brunt offering altar, replaced the twelves cakes of the "bread of presence" on the table in the tent of meeting, handle the offerings brought by the people, and maintained the sanctity and purity of the sanctuary. As the Priest who brings us to god Jesus acts as our mediator to atone for our sins. He bore our sins and carried our iniquities and He sit at the right hand of God interceding for us.
  2. These verse tells us that even though Joseph was not righteous for Romans 3:10 says "There is none righteous, no not one" , he was observant of the law of God, good, chaste, and compassionate, for he was not willing to make a public example of Mary. It was his faith that cause him to believer the Angel. Because of his bold and resilient faith and not willing that she be made a public example, he took Mary home as his wife and publicly claimed her to be his wife even though he did not consummate the marriage. The Jews looked upon him as ungodly and unchaste but when he took Mary home to be his wife even though he knew she was pregnant and he was not the father proved then wrong. He proved to be both godly and chaste displaying the love of God and forgiveness.
  3. A never-ending Kingdom is am anomaly in world history because civilizations come and go and world powers usually last a few decades or years before they fall are overtaken by another power. Just and righteous governments are rare because unjust and unrighteous people are in charge who overreach and oppress its people. Jesus will bring justice when He comes for He is just and righteous and knows how to do justly and righteously. God has taken the burden of sin off our shoulders and placed that responsibility on the shoulders of Jesus Christ who forgives repentant sinners, heals the sick and suffering and shows us how to love one another.
  4. Not only is is Jesus a wonderful person being both God and man, having two natures that are different one from the other, He is wonderful counselor in respect to His people for whom He is counselor and gives the council. He advises sinners to repent, encourage souls to believe in Him, directs the weary to come to him for rest, councils them to sin no more, to behave in a humble and modest manner, to bear reproaches and persecution cheerfully. to love one another, and to pray to the Father in His name for all the things they want. This council is given by the ministry of the Word which is the counsel of God. A mighty God being manifested in the flesh, a great, living, and true God, and eternal life. Mighty in the creation of all things out of nothing, the upholding of all things by the word of His power, for noting was done but what He was concerned in, and above all the great work of redemption. Christ and the Father are one, the Father in Him, and He is in the Father. As author of eternal life He was before all person and things, was set up in an office and capacity from everlasting and had a glory with the Father before the world was, the Father of the world to come after the resurrection , the New Jerusalem. He is Prince by birth being the King's Son, the Son of God, and by office, power and authority. Exalted to be a Prince and a Savior, He is called the Prince of Peace because He is the author of peace, His Kingdom lies in peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost. Knowledge of His titles should cause us to acknowledge Him in all our ways and let Him direct our paths, knowing that He is all powerful and ever present and only wants what is best for us. Because of His love and care for us He will never leave us or forsake but will give us peace and a home in His kingdom.
  5. People choose to live in darkness when light is available because their deed are evil and they love darkness rather than light. The light teaches men to deny that which they indulge in, ungodliness and worldly ****. I sometimes hesitate to step into Jesus full because of fear of failure and what other will say or think if I fail. The people of Galilee begin to see the Kingdom of God breaking into our world. The heard wonderful teaching, heard astounding miracles .compassionate healing, and commands which drove demonic influences from hapless victims. And as the light began to shine Satan increase his tactics for he could not stand idly by and watch man slip out of his grasp. The light has transformed my reputation among my circle of friends as they have been able to see and experience the change in me.
  6. The blessing through Abraham's descendant is promised to all nations. Abraham was ready to offer his only son as a sacrifice but at the last minute God provided himself a sacrifice, (a ram caught in the thicket) while God's only begotten Son, Jesus Christ was the sacrificial lamb offered for the sins of mankind.
  7. Judah was powerful and a force to be reckoned with. Jesus qualified for the promise of the ruling scepter because He was of the house and lineage of David Obedience is hard for us because it requires humility and submission and we as humans have a problem with both. Obedience is so important to us because God requires it and it we are to grow in God we must be obedient to Him. If we fail to obey then we are none of His. The Bible tells us that obedience is better than sacrifice. Jesus obey God even unto death and we to must be obedient.
  8. Both were pregnant which was a miracle for both being one was in her old age (past the stage of childbearing) and the other has never know a man. Even though the circumstances were different it was a new experience for both and they could encourage each ither through the process. Elizabeth was an encourage to Mary by praising her for being chosen of God to be the mother of His Son and telling her that her child would be blessed. When Mary greeted Elizabeth the baby leaped in Elizabeth and she was filled with the Holy Spirit. What encouragement that must have been for Elizabeth.
  9. God bestowed the honor of being the mother of His only begotten son upon Mary. an honor that would cost her her reputation among her fellow man because she was yet a virgin who knew not a man. It might have even cost her her relationship with Joseph had the angel of the Lord not spoken to him. Her response to the angel indicates that she believe the angel was from the Lord and she could trust him to be truthful, As disciples of God we should take Him at His word and trust Him to deliver on His promises because He is not a man that he should lie. Not now does not mean that God will not keep His promise . Waiting teaches us be patient.
