This joy is long lasting and gives glory to God.

Yes, those times, on looking back , really shook me and brought me to see life in a bigger perspective. and my faith was tested and proven, authenticated. The end result was a humbling experience and to see God in his might and power - to acknowledge all glory to God eternal

God's part is to shield us until the full glory is revealed - he's our sun and shield accoring to the psalmist. Our part is to keep the faith.

Without obedience , there can be no sanctification becos it's a continuous process. Obedience helps us to authenticate our faith. It's the lie of the evil one to lead us to believe that we need not be obedient to the Spirit's promptings. Forgiveness has to be claimed , if taken for granted, then we become insensitised to the HS.

"to be holy" to me means to make that conscious effort to be set apart from the world yet to be in the world but not of it. A continuous process of living a life declaring the Lordship of Christ in all that I do. I am "holy" now by the grace of God becos of the indwelling of the the Holy Spirit in me. Obedience to the Holy Spirit is essential , if not we fall prey to the carnal nature in us. One struggle is the inability to see life as temporal and the reluctance to invest in things of eternal value.

Many of us Christians at some time or another are gulity of this - getting our priorities wrong. We easily forget that man has a threefold nature, spirit, soul(mind) and body. The spirit is the part that God interacts with and this is the part (with the soul) that goes on forever with him when we move on to glory. And yet we spend too much time on the "flesh" part and lose sight of what is eternal. In the marketplace, I find myself losing focus of this truth sometimes and depserately need to remind myself that I'm just a passing thru. However, having said that, I try to be blessing to others so I avoid being "so heavenly minded that I become no earthly use" for the Father's Glory. The plumbline that keeps us in check would be total and complete obedience to God's Word and this is only possible if we feed on His Word daily, if we let "our light so shine to bring Glory to Him".
